'Genshin Impact' unveils Nod-Krai cast in 'Welkin Moon' teaser
The fantasy action role-playing video game shared a teaser, "Song of the Welkin Moon: Moonlit Ballad of the Night," on Tuesday featuring Varka, Alice, Durin, Sandrone, Columbina and other characters.
The lunar-themed video is narrated by Nicole, a member of the Hexenzirkel witches. It opens with Varka, the leader of Mondstadt's Knights of Favonius, being called to listen to a story told by the character Nefer, who is later shown to have a green, seemingly Egyptian-inspired design.
The camera then pans to Ineffa, who was previously introduced and will release in version 5.8, Jahoda and Durin, the human embodiment of the dragon created by Rhinedottir, a Hexenzirkel witch and one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah.
Others include Sandrone and Columbina, two members of the Fatui Harbingers, Lauma, who was introduced in the "Through the Silent Frostbound Night" teaser last week, and Flins. Columbina is shown to be the "Moon Maiden" at the center of the story.
"She scatters dewdrops upon every bloom / And tints the twilight with a sheen of silver / Thus do shadows howl across the gloomy woods / As flocks of deer and birds take fright and shiver / She hums one nameless tune / While walking through those solitary halls / So her homeland may not fall to desolation / So the tale may not be lost to oblivion," the official description reads.
The teaser ends with existing characters Albedo and Wanderer approaching Alice, a Hexenzirkel witch and Klee's mother. Alice has been mentioned and heard but not shown in the game thus far.
Genshin Impact version 5.8 will release July 29 in the United States. Nod-Krai and its cast are expected to be fully introduced in version 6.0 and beyond.

There is nothing in it that is polarizing or upsetting," Morris, 28, told UPI in a recent Zoom interview. "That absolutely has its place on TV and film. I really think some of my favorite shows are very polarizing and important," she added. "We live in a time where it's really complicated right now and to be able to have anyone turn on the telly and watch a show about librarians saving the world and using a magic door -- if it brings them even a minute of relaxation and enjoyment and you can just get lost in the silliness -- I think that is so valuable." Morris plays Lysa, a scientist who inherits a castle in Belgrade that serves as annex to a library where supernatural artifacts from throughout history are stored. She teams up with Vikram (Callum McGowan), a 19th-century librarian, who is bewildered to find himself transported to 2025, Connor (Bluey Robinson), a conspiracy-theory podcaster, and Charlie (Jessica Green), a highly skilled fighting machine, to protect the world from powerful magic that has been mistakenly unleashed. In addition to being a fun watch, the family-friendly show also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and knowledge. "These fans are clever. They are honorary librarians and I think you can see that in the scripts that the writers, everybody involved, are so passionate," Morris said. "Some of the stuff my character has to say is bonkers," she added. "It is a real challenge to be able to say it as if she has said it a million times. I must look like a crazy person in my flat when I'm rehearsing my lines because I am determined to make it seem effortless and I hope it comes across as such." The actress said she wants viewers, especially young ones, to see a team who uses their brains and hearts, instead of physical might, to vanquish evil. "These characters are superheroes -- ones that are incredibly smart and incredibly empathetic," she said. Morris said Devlin -- whose credits include Independence Day and The Ark -- is a wonderful collaborator and always has time to discuss characters and story-lines. "He is so ready to meet [questions] with just as much curiosity and, as an actor, that is all you can ask for," she added. "Sometimes, you want to suggest something or you want to ask why we do a certain thing, especially because the world is so big. There have been three films and a whole series before us," she explained. "Dean Is the one that knows that better than anyone. So, to have him around on set and be able to pick his brain about making the show the best it can be is really, really amazing." The franchise started in 2004 with a trilogy of TV movies starring Noah Wyle. Wylie served as an executive producer on both The Next Chapter and The Librarians, a TV series that followed the movies and ran for four seasons from 2014 through 2017.

The film stars Michael Douglas, his son Cameron Douglas, Michael Stahl-David, David Morse and Walker Scobell. Michael Douglas plays William McKay, who tells his grandson (Scobell) a story. As a young man (Stahl-David), William reconnected with his father, Leo (Morse) in a father/son fishing competition. Cameron Douglas plays Leo's fishing guide, Cole. Ximena Romo plays Julia, a local doctor who catches young William's eye. Based on books by Bob Rich, Zach Dean and Rowdy Herrington wrote the screenplay. Roberto Sneider directed. Michael and Cameron Douglas previously played father and son in the 2003 film It Runs in the Family. Looking Through Water is in theaters Sept. 12.

Phillies closer Jhoan Durán's entrance still has legs
Every superhero has a calling card — and Durantula's viral entrance has crawled its way to Philly. Why it matters: Citizens Bank Park was already one of baseball's most fearsome places to play, and now it's more dangerous for opponents when the lights cut off for Jhoan Durán 's intimidating intro. The big picture: When the Phillies acquired one of baseball's best closers, they also got the game's best choreographed entrance — which the Minnesota Twins had perfected to match Durán's imposing nickname: Durantula, per The Athletic. Durán debuted his trademark trot-in wearing a Phillies jersey over the weekend, and Citizens Bank gave it a very Philly spin. How it works: The Liberty Bell-inspired Undertaker bell — borrowed from the WWE wrestler — tolls as the lights cut off at the Bank. Then a custom mashup of "El Incomprendido" by Farruko and "Hot" by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee fills the stadium speaker. Durán trots out while his flame-embossed name and a giant tarantula crawl across the stadium's LED screen and fans raise their camera-phone flashlights. What they're saying: The Twins communications department spent more than 500 hours creating the entrance. They never hesitated about sharing it with the Phillies when Durán was traded. "It's the right thing to do," Minnesota's vice president of communications Dustin Morse told The Athletic. "This is for the greater good of baseball fans."
