A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering a baby boy in a Scottish hospital.
Ryan Lumsden, 26, has been accused of killing a two-month-old baby in Victoria Hospital in Fife last month.

The tot was taken to the hospital in Kirkcaldy, but tragically died on Sunday, July 27.
The alarm was raised after police were called to the hospital at around 3pm.
Officers said the force received a report of a baby having died within the Victoria Hospital.
Police then arrested Lumsden and charged him in connection with the incident.
He appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday to face a single charge of murder.
Lumsden, from Glenrothes, made no plea.
He has been released on bail.
The case has been committed for further examination.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a two-month-old baby boy.
"Around 3pm on Sunday, 27 July, 2025, officers received a report of a baby having died within Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.

Lewis Cuthbert, 25, has not been seen since 4pm on Monday, August 4. The last sighting of Lewis was in the Lesmahagow Road area of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire. He was reported missing to police on Friday, August 8. Officers say it's unusual for him to be out of contact with his family. Lewis is described as around 5ft 10ins, of a slim build and with short, brown curly hair. When last seen, he was wearing a brown jacket with a collar, dark coloured rolled up jeans and brown dress shoes. Lewis is known to go to Glasgow city centre to busk. He was also carrying a black backpack, a Bluetooth speaker and a microphone at the time of his disappearance. He also goes for walks in the countryside around Strathaven. Inspector Billy Sloan said: 'It is unusual for Lewis to be out of contact with his family for this length of time and extensive searches and enquiries are ongoing to trace him. 'Concerns are growing for his welfare and we need to make sure he is safe and well so we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he might be to get in touch. 'If you live in the Strathaven area please keep an eye out for him and also check gardens and sheds in case he has sought shelter. 'We are also asking people to look out for him in the city centre of Glasgow as he busks.' A post about the incident on the Police Scotland Greater Glasgow Facebook page said: "Officers are appealing for information following a robbery at a shop on Hawthorn Street in Glasgow. "The incident happened around 9.05pm on Saturday, 16 August, when a man entered the premises and sprayed a staff member with a substance before making off with a sum of cash. "Emergency services attended and the staff member, a 24-year-old man, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. The suspect is described as white and of slim build. "He was wearing a green and grey tracksuit top with a zip, orange shorts, black socks and black trainers. He left in the direction of Memel Street." Detective Sergeant Greg Turnbull said: 'This was an extremely frightening experience for the shop worker which left him with serious injuries requiring hospital treatment. 'Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace the man responsible and we are asking anyone who knows who he is or where he might be to get in touch. 'We are also asking anyone who saw anything before or after the robbery to make contact.
