सचिव बैड गुर तीनो जॉन प्रिये बोलहि भये आ। राज धर्म तन तीनो कर होये बेगहीन नास।
Meaning:
When the minister, physician and guru utter only pleasant words out of fear or greed, the state, the body and religion become destroyed.
This chaupai advises us to act with integrity in the workplace and not be influenced by greed or the fear of our superiors. If people stray from the role they play in an organisation, it leads to the decline of the entire system.
तुलसी काया खेत है मानस भयो किसा। पाप-पुणे दो बीज हैं बुवाई सो लुने निदान।
Meaning:
The body is a farm and the mind is the farmer. Sin and virtue are two seeds whose fruits are reaped by the farmer who sows them.
The age old wisdom in this chaupai is essential to remember in the workplace. Like a farmer sows seeds in the field, we plant the consequences of each action we do. We should always do good deeds to experience good results.
जा पर कृपा राम की होइ ता पर कृपा करहि सब कोई।
Meaning:
The one who is blessed by Lord Ram is blessed by everyone.
These words from the Ramcharitmanas suggest that people who do not harbour dishonesty and arrogance in their hearts are blessed by Lord Ram. Their sincere nature makes everyone revere them as well. Remembering your ideals at the workplace and acting with honesty will make both God and the people around you appreciate you.

ममता रत सं ज्ञान कहान। अति लोभी सं बिरति बखान।
Meaning:
Preaching wise words to those trapped in attachment is as useless as showing seeds in a barren land.
This chaupai emphasises that people understand words of wisdom only if they are in the right mind frame. It is futile to preach selflessness to someone overcome by greed, or tell stories of God to someone controlled by anger. You should look for the right time and place when giving people advice.
आवत हिये हरषाई नहीं नैनं नहीं स्ने। तुलसी तहाँ न जाइये कंचन बरसे मे।
Meaning:
If no joy upon your arrival and no happiness in their eyes, do not go there even if it rains gold.
Tulsidas advises us to avoid places where we are not welcomed. No matter how attractive an opportunity or place looks, we should not go there to seek material gain. This chaupai suggests choosing situations where we are truly appreciated and valued.

Ramana Maharishi
It is universally acknowledged that one is blessed to view the sight of devotees streaming into Pandharpur on Ashada Ekadasi. It is a clear, crystalline display of deep devotion. Sage Narada, widely held to be the guru of bhakti, was once asked what is bhakti and he said, 'The nature of bhakti is indefinable, one that cannot be described.' It is that love of God, that premam, which one cannot understand, unless it is manifested through a devotee, said Ramanacharana Tirtha Swami (Nochur). In his Saundarya Lahiri, Adi Sankara, speaking on how to see Siva through the heart of a devotee, says He is seen as the fruit of all the spiritual practices in, of and by a devotee. One cannot see the electricity that powers a bulb to burn, but can experience the light; similarly, one cannot see, but none can miss the devotee whose heart is in inundation (Lahiri); this ecstasy can only be experienced, something that countless devotees felt when in the presence of Ramana Maharishi. One can read tomes of articles on the life and teachings of Ramana Maharishi, but that would only be like the tip of the proverbial iceberg. His devotees maintain to this day that the saint who made Tiruvannamalai his home was not something you experienced with mere eyes. It is something that comes from the heart. People who saw him, simply absorbed him. Those who came to question him fell silent in his presence, doubts forgotten, experiencing a never before calmness. Seeing him seated in his abode, like burnished gold, he seemed like Arunchaleswara to his devotees. Unlike Buddha, Ramana Maharishi's life did not have a riveting arc, making it one for the greatest renunciation stories; on the contrary, Ramana Maharishi, sitting in a small room in Madurai, thought he was going to die. That led to the question, Who is going to die, what happens when my body is burnt. He felt the full force of consciousness (I am atma); it happened in a few minutes: this is gnana made very simple. He let go of desire and with the alignment of bhakti, vairagya and gnanam, he experienced God. He was not a scholar, but the call of Arunachala drew him to Tiruvannamalai, where he experienced a tsunami of love: the deity kept him on his lap, so to speak.

‘God answered my prayers…': 28-day wait later, businessman gets back his tanker stuck on broken Vadodara bridge
On a hot and dry Wednesday evening in Vadodara, Ramshankar Pal, 48, stood in front of his prized possession – a tanker used to transport chemicals. An emotional Pal took out his handkerchief, wiped off the sweat and tears on his face, and hopped on the vehicle. Before this, he had also performed a little puja. As Pal reversed his truck, a group of people present at the spot broke into a thunderous applause. This was no ordinary truck. Neither was the spot from where Pal reversed it. The people cheering him on were also not regular bystanders or Pal's loved ones. This tanker is the same vehicle which, for almost a month, had been precariously perched on the edge of the Mujpur-Gambhira bridge, right where a segment of the structure collapsed and led to the death of 22 people on the morning of July 9. A resident of Bharuch, Pal said, 'On that fateful day, the tanker was on its way from Ahmedabad to Dahej to refuel Hydrochloric Acid (HCL). It was fortunately empty when the tragedy occurred… My prayers and thoughts are with those who lost their lives. God was kind to me that my driver escaped safely and now my vehicle has also been removed without a big loss. I cannot stop thanking God for his kindness and so, I also performed a puja before taking possession of the tanker. It is almost like a new life.' 'God answered my prayers…': 28-day wait later, businessman gets back his tanker stuck on broken Vadodara bridge — The Indian Express (@IndianExpress) August 6, 2025 Throughout the process, the team from MERC Vishwakarma, the marine salvage agency that was pressed into action to retrieve the tanker, rooted for Pal. 'I am grateful to the government and especially to the Vishwakarma company that helped in the retrieval… Not only did they help me get back the vehicle, they also repaired it without any cost. I had pinned my hopes on this exercise and I am grateful that God answered my prayers and returned my assets back to me. I am not a big businessman and losing the truck would have meant a big loss…,' Pal told The Indian Express. Although the staff of MERC Vishwakarma repaired the internal damage as a 'kind gesture' — some of the damage was also a result of the vehicle being extracted from the spot where it was stuck — Pal said he would get the physical body of the truck repaired and checked before getting it on the road again. 'The side body of the truck has suffered physical damage due to the accident. I will have it repaired and also have it undergo a thorough check for safety… But, the fact that I was able to drive it back and it has been repaired by the agency as a kind gesture, I am grateful…,' he said. According to the district administration, officials of MERC Vishwakarma had retained the truck after extracting it from the edge of the broken bridge to carry out repairs on Tuesday evening . Anand District Collector Praveen Chaudhary told The Indian Express, 'The company was determined to hand over the vehicle in a running condition. Since they have some expertise in repairs, they took it upon themselves to get the vehicle running for the owner, especially since they felt that using some jacks and mounts during the time of the extraction had also caused minor damage that was repaired… We have also assured the owner of assistance in case of any claims that need to be made from his insurance company.' Earlier, as the extraction of the truck was delayed beyond a fortnight, Pal had complained to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's office, urging him to intervene in the matter. Following instructions from the CM office, district authorities expedited the process. In an operation that lasted five days, MERC Vishwakarma deployed marine salvage techniques, including pneumatic roller bags to lift and pull the tanker from the precarious 50-metre drop where it was stuck. 'I did suffer losses in business for 28 days as I only own two vehicles for transport. But now that I have the truck back, I will slowly get back to normal life. I will remain indebted to the agency that helped and also to the divine powers that I did not suffer an irreparable loss of any kind,' said Pal.
