Dead body horror in Coronation Street as the lid is ripped off a coffin
Jenny no doubt hoped she'd seen the last of Christina earlier this year. She had returned to Weatherfield to help her daughter, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), get revenge on Jenny.
They came up with a plan to catfish Jenny, using someone called Dom as bait to get to know Jenny on a dating app and then con her out of her money.
Daisy eventually discovered that her mother was also trying to double cross her when she found out that Dom was actually Christina's partner, and tipped Jenny off. After the resulting showdown in the Rovers, Christina was arrested.
With Daisy having departed Weatherfield, there seems to be no reason for Jenny's and Christina's paths to cross, so Jenny is gobsmacked to see her enemy in the Rovers looking for George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley).
Jenny has recently taken a fancy to the eligible undertaker herself, after he impressed her by fixing a leaky pipe at the Kabin, so she's not best pleased to hear that Christina is looking for him.
However, Christina insists she's only interested in George for his professional services. Her partner Dom has died and she wants to arrange his funeral. More Trending
Jenny is suspicious about whether this is true, and a conversation with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) only makes her believe more strongly that Christina is up to something. She thinks the story about Dom dying is just a ruse so Christina can get close to George.

Wanting to save George from himself and, more urgently, from Christina, Jenny marches into the undertakers' and tells George not to trust Christina. She says she's only after his money and Dom isn't even dead.
And to prove it, as George and Christina look on in horror, she goes over to the coffin and pulls the lid off.

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley is reportedly being lined up as the first star to take part in this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! The actress, 49, has played Mandy Dingle on the legendary soap for 30 years, making a bombshell return to the village six years ago. Now, sources are claiming that Lisa is in advanced talks with bosses to move into the Australia jungle when the show returns in November. The soap star has made it no secret that she is a fan of the show, meaning she could follow in the footsteps of many Dales favourites such as Danny Miller, Gemma Atkinson and Adam Thomas by taking part in the show. A source told The Sun: 'Lisa is the perfect celebrity for the show because not only is she from a soap watched by millions she's one of its biggest characters and it's an ITV show to boot. 'She also has a naughty, mischievous sense of humour which is guaranteed to get a big response from her other celebrity campmates during their time in the jungle. 'Lisa is by no means the first star from Emmerdale to have gone on I'm a Celebrity and those that do always tend to get a great response from viewers at home.' Lisa, who turns 50 next year, previously shared her hopes of taking part in the show, saying: 'I'm A Celebrity... is something I would do before I turned 50 as a test for myself.' Last year's series saw McFly's Danny Jones crowned series champion, beating a star-studded lineup that included Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins, GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles. However, the married singer has since courted controversy, as in March he was filmed sharing a drunken kiss with his campmate Maura. Lisa first joined the cast of Emmerdale as Mandy Dingle in 1995, but left the soap six years later. She went onto land a string of other roles including Fat Friends and Waterloo Road, and in 2013 she competed on Strictly Come Dancing. 18 years after her soap exit, Lisa returned to Emmerdale, admitting that after being asked about reprising her role for years by fans, she finally realised she never had a reason not to return. She said: 'I'm the type of person that must have an answer, I can't leave anything open ended. 'I was working for Strictly in doing a Q and A and there were 4,000 people asking me when I was going back to Emmerdale. But I've had that since the day I left.' Earlier this month, it was reported that ITV were planning to keep I'm A Celebrity on screens for the next five years, bringing the show up to a landmark 30th series. Sources claimed ITV have opened talks with Australian bosses to secure the area of jungle where they film until 2030.

Gangs of London's Lucian Msamati teases new Netflix show Hostage with Suranne Jones
Reach Screen Time spoke exclusively to Lucian Msamati about working with Suranne Jones One of the leading actors from Netflix 's new adrenaline-fuelled political thriller Hostage, has given us a sneak peek behind the scenes, following lead actress Suranne Jones' unexpected revelation, reports the Manchester Evening News. In an exclusive chinwag with Reach Screen Time, Lucian Msamati, known for his roles in Gangs of London and Game of Thrones, spilled the beans about the twist-filled series and his experience working alongside the Gentleman Jack star. Msamati, 49, shared: "I think there was great spark. Suranne and I just got on like a house on fire and we sort of became work husband and wife, which is really at the centre of both of their jobs. "They're both hard-headed, they're both very good at what they do and they both care." He hinted: "I think the scenes, without giving too much away, there are later scenes to come which were tough in good way. But that's the juice that we're after." Hostage is a five-part Netflix series and marks Coronation Street and Vigil actress Jones' first venture with the streaming behemoth. The star collaborated closely with creator and Oscar-nominated writer Matt Charman, who penned the script for Hollywood film Bridge of Spies, on the story. She also wore the hat of a producer on the TV series. Msamati portrays prime ministerial aide Kofi Adomako, who is tasked with advising Jones' British premier Abigail Dalton after her husband is kidnapped and her resignation is demanded as the ransom for his release. The distinguished British-Tanzanian actor revealed he was attracted to the project by Charman, and disclosed how the playwright rang him about the role which was penned specifically with the star in mind. Looking back on his preparation for the character of Adomako, the actor explained: "I think I've had the benefit of playing lots of conciliatory types, lots of right-hand, king of the hand type characters. This is watching people who are immediately behind the throne. "There were some really interesting books, the calculation that has to happen. A person whose job it is to anticipate, the person whose job it is to go, 'What are the possible outcomes here? Can I get ahead of this?' Just being, you know, ultimately loyal, ultimately responsible." He continued: "And he sort of, for myself, this guys's been there, he's done that, several governments, he knows his stuff. We don't know his political allegiance but we know he's first duty is to the office of the prime minister." Msamati is currently occupied with numerous other ventures and according to IMDb, he will be featuring in the mini-series Run Away. The star also revealed: "There are a few interesting theatrical projects bubbling and brewing and there may or may not be another well-known television series that may or may not be coming out later this year that I may or may not be a part of. You'll just have to wait and see." The interview coincides with Sky's confirmation of a fourth season for Gangs of London. However, considering the recent plot developments, it seems improbable that Msamati will make a comeback.
