But before long, hosts Joel Dommett and Emma Willis gave in to temptation and asked him about the beloved BBC show Line of Duty.
Adrian Dunbar gives an official update to when audiences can expect Line of Duty to return... and the answer may surprise you! 👀
Since the series six finale in 2021, fans have been speculating about whether there will be another instalment.
Over the past year, there have been varying responses from key cast members, including the faces of the show, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston.
But despite his recent confirmation that series seven was on the way, Dunbar told Dommett and Willis he had called his agent about the show just hours earlier and had been told "there isn't any more real definite news".
Willis asked him about his co-stars over the years: "Do you have favourites?" and Dunbar delighted Line of Duty fans everywhere by replying: "Vicky and Martin, obviously."

He added: "We actually don't know if it's going to happen. I actually called my agent this morning to see if there was any more news, but there isn't any more real definite news about it, sadly, so we're just going to have to wait.

Lucy Pargeter loves the 'challenge' of her Emmerdale role
Lucy Pargeter loves the 'challenge' of her Emmerdale role The 48-year-old actress has played the role of Chas Dingle on the ITV soap since 2002 and relishes the "nerves" that come with working on the show. (Image: Getty Images) Lucy Pargeter finds every day on Emmerdale a "massive challenge". The 48-year-old actress has played the role of Chas Dingle on the ITV soap since 2002 and relishes the "nerves" that come with working on the show. In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Lucy said: "Every day is a massive challenge. The day I don't feel any nerves is when I know this is not the right place for me to be, that's what I feed off. "Even working behind the bar in the Woolpack, figuring out what lines you pull the pints on and the choreography of it, there's always so much to learn and analyse." Lucy is glad that her alter ego works in the soap's famous Woolpack pub as it allows her to share scenes with a wide range of cast members. She said: "I love it because you get to see everybody. You're not filming in the same house with your own family group all the time, everyone comes into the pub so you get to catch up and have a nice little gossip!" Emmerdale aired a limo crash in February that resulted in the deaths of Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Lucy found it "incredible" to be shooting such dramatic scenes. The star – who finished third on ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2013 – said: "I remember stepping onto the ice, which was actually melted wax, but your mind tricked you into thinking it was genuinely frozen water so you walked across it slowly as if you were going to slip over, it was really bizarre. "It was very cold, and shooting through the night was weird as we'd break for lunch at three in the morning." Pargeter also revealed that she would love to do a "body swap" with her character's half-brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in order to experience life as a "bad boy". She said: "I'd like to do a body swap with Cain, like Freaky Friday! "Chas has mellowed so much over time, there was a time where she'd jump over the bar if anyone had a go at her and knock them spark out, but Cain is still a bad boy. Article continues below "So I'd like to be him for the day just so I could be a bit old-school Dingle again!"

Today, the results of Katie's latest trip to the operating table was revealed, with the star sporting a very tight face pinned back by surgical bandages and stitching tape. Walking through the hotel restaurant, Katie wore comfy tracksuit bottoms and a tank top as she kept her head straight, struggling to turn her neck as she moved. The star, who has always been open about her love of surgery, shared a fun selfie from her hospital bed in an elevator surrounded by her medical team, snapping the group and a cameraman in the mirror as she headed down. The latest surgery comes less than a year since she had another facelift as well as a 'fox-eye lift' at the Trio Clinic in Istanbul. Her new pics seems to confirm she has had further work on her face as well as her nose and eyes. A clear nose plug was seen visible on her septum, while flesh-coloured bandages were seen pulling back the sides of her eyes. Her trip comes as she has hit a turbulent patch in her relationship with daughter Princess, whose TV documentary series The Princess Diaries launched on ITVX today. As exclusively revealed by The Sun, the mum and daughter duo, who are often hailed "twins" due to their lookalike appearance, have run into trouble when Katie was banned from seeing her daughter walk a runway in Ibiza – despite being on the island at the same time. In scenes that aired on the show, Princess was seen hitting the catwalk for Ibiza Fashion Festival and admitting her nerves, fearing she didn't fit in. Katie Price broke down in tears after being banned from seeing daughter Princess on Ibiza holiday Ahead of the show's debut, Katie shared her frustrations at 'not being allowed to go near' the documentary, with Princess moving into her dad, Peter Andre's house, while she shot it. ITV2 bosses reportedly told how Katie could not be a part of the series, with a source telling The Sun that Katie felt "isolated and disregarded". "She loves Princess so much and is supremely proud of the young woman she is becoming," they said. "Princess told her mum that she needed to distance herself publicly and yet chats to her all the time behind closed doors. 11 Katie jetted away for 'his and hers' work with boyfriend JJ Credit: BackGrid 11 The star's painful bandages pulled back on her face Credit: BackGrid "She feels a bit like Brooklyn Beckham, with no one in the Andre family really speaking to her." The Sun reported telly bosses deliberately cut the former glamour model out of The Princess Diaries because it is 'not good for Princess to be seen with Katie'. In a bid to market the youngster as a pretty, middle-class influencer, they even turned down Katie's team's offer to film for free for three days. Katie later vented her frustrations on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, to sister Sophie, explaining that although she supports Princess no matter what, the situation has left her "insulted" and struggling mentally. Addressing The Sun's article, Katie said: 'They've told the truth in it. If you actually read it, there's not a fib. I'm not allowed and I'm not welcome. 'But what hurts my feelings, and it does upset me, is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you go to their football matches or gymnastics, you're involved in everything they do. "And knowing that what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path, trying to do the same as what I've done, which I absolutely love and adore of Princess. "But I have not been allowed to go on any photo shoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that, and it puts Princess in a situation because I don't want her to feel she has to choose between me and her work because I want her to do well.' 'I have said to Princess, just see how it feels for me because I should be there supporting you," she added. "I want to be there to support you like my family did. And I'm your mum and especially as you're doing stuff that I did, I'm proud of you and want to be there.' 11 Katie had bandages overing her ears and the side of her face Credit: BackGrid 11 JJ was forced to miss his planned surgery after complications due to his diabetes Credit: johnjoeslater/Instagram 11 Princess has landed her own series, The Princess Diaries, documenting her life Credit: ITV 11 JJ and Katie were initially meant to both get work done while in Istanbul Credit: PA

Rochelle Humes reaches out to Frankie Bridge amid fallout claims
Frankie Bridge and Rochelle Humes both first rose to fame being in The Saturdays before both embarking on TV presenting careers Rochelle Humes has been seen reaching out to Frankie Bridge after fallout claims emerged. It seems that the Saturdays stars are patching up their friendship after claims they had stopped speaking. 36-year-old Frankie raised eyebrows this week as she shared a sassy "you're dead to me" post on her socials - just as claims about her relationship with Rochelle began to surface. Meanwhile, Rochelle posted a message about "choosing partners wisely" prompting fans to speculate something wasn't right with the girlband members. The allegations came after sources at this year's Wimbledon claimed the pair were in the same celebrity suite but didn't say a word to each other all day, though they were happy to interact with other famous faces. In her most recent upload, Frankie looked as stunning as ever in the post as she showed off her figure in a patterned bikini during a family holiday in the Maldives. Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Rochelle clicked the like button on the photo, which is rare when it comes to their friendship. The pair still both follow each other on Instagram but haven't been seen liking or commenting each other's posts since 2013, apart from this one most recent time. Frankie and Rochelle were reported to have snubbed each other at Wimbledon last month after knowing each other for 24 years. Soon after Frankie then shared a TikTok about falling out with a friend. A caption written over the clip said: "You're so quiet… Thanks, you said something five years ago and I've just realised you're actually dead to me." Frankie and Rochelle appeared to have a firm friendship after starring in S Club Juniors and later The Saturdays together. They have gone on to have successful music careers but have now ditched this for TV. The two of them both work for ITV but on separate shows. Frankie is known for regularly appearing on Loose Women as a panellist, while Rochelle often steps in to present This Morning. She has been a regular staple over the Summer holidays as she often hosts the show with Dermot O'Leary. Aside from being on our screens, Frankie is also known for being open about her mental health. She's discussed the impact of anxiety and recalled her husband Wayne Bridge 's support during a "difficult time" with depression. Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast, Frankie said that she first realised she was struggling while in The Saturdays. She said: "But I think for me, the first time I realised that it was like a proper issue was actually in The Saturdays. And I think for a while I'd been coming home from work, going straight to bed, like not wanting dinner. Just wanting to go to bed, cry, go to sleep. Bed was like a safe space." Frankie said she found herself being "two versions" of herself, every day Frankie and Frankie from The Saturdays. She explained: "I walked into the room and that was the first time that I'd realised that I'd become like two versions of myself - this person that I thought everyone needed me to be and what the expectation was to like what I was actually feeling inside." The Mirror have contacted Rochelle and Frankie's reps for comment.
