Katie Price shares the devastating reason she 'hated' Loose Women and would 'never do it again' as she appears at University of Cambridge amid JJ Slater split rumours
Katie Price has revealed the heartbreaking reason she 'hated' being on the Loose Women panel, and would 'never do it again'.
The glamour model, 46, was a regular on the ITV daytime show from 2015 to 2018, but has now confessed she 'didn't like' being on the programme as it came during a difficult time for her.
Speaking during a Q&A at The University of Cambridge 's Student Union, Katie admitted she 'hid' her personal problems while on the show, and would never like to return to the panel.
The star has shared in recent years how she suffered a breakdown after a string of personal woes, including being robbed at gunpoint in South Africa in 2018, and being arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing her car.
Katie said: 'I hated doing that show. The interesting thing about Loose Women, I presented on it for two years, believe it or not, and it was around the start and during my breakdown and no one knew. I hid it very well on there.
'The only thing I didn't like about Loose Women was, you had these in-ears and you're told when you can speak, when you can't, or if someone is talking, 'Kate, don't interrupt, Kate don't say this, Kate don't say that', so it's quite hard.
'Behind the scenes of TV is very different to how you see it.
'Although it was fun, I got to meet a lot of people, I would never, ever do it again, even if they ask me, because one, I've been there and done [it] and I didn't really enjoy it.
'I wasn't really well, but no one really knew, it was the start of my breakdown, horrible days.
'But I liked the women I did it with, we had fun, but yeah, I wouldn't do that show again.
'Maybe I should have my own presenting show, that's something I haven't done, but it would have to be late night because there's no filter with me.'
Katie went on to say she 'couldn't do' another daytime TV show.
In 2018, after being robbed and raped during a horrific carjacking in South Africa, Katie had a mental breakdown and attempted suicide.
Yet when reflecting on her turbulent past, Katie shared that she has worked through her problems in therapy, telling MailOnline: 'I've got severe ADHD and severe PTSD. I've been through breakups, marriages, kidnapped threats, hijacked, held at gunpoint, you name it, I've been through it.
The star added: 'Although it was fun, I got to meet a lot of people, I would never, ever do it again, even if they ask me, because one, I've been there and done [it] and I didn't really enjoy it'
'And then I had a breakdown, a bad breakdown, survived that and came out the other end. I just feel that I've been through so much.'
It comes as Katie also sparked speculation she's split from her boyfriend JJ Slater, after they deleted all traces of each other from Instagram.
The former glamour model has been involved in a stop-start relationship with Slater since publicly confirming they were romantically involved last February.
But she prompted inevitable speculation regarding her current relationship status after reshuffling her social media platform to prioritise pictures that focus on her children and passion for horse-riding.
Price, 46, also drew attention to her easter pantomime role in Pinocchio - in which she plays a fairy - as well as promotional photos and videos for CBD oil and niche, online fashion retailers.
But there appears to be no room for Slater, 32, who Price once described as 'my absolute everything.'
Likewise, Price is notably absent from his Instagram platform, with the first visible photo of the model seemingly shared last November.
However, despite a clear shift in tone across social media, sources have denied claims of another rift in their relationship.
A source told MailOnline: 'It's not true.'

Unassuming corner shop was seen by millions on classic 70s sitcom – but would you recognise it?
A CORNER shop from a classic 70s sitcom went under the hammer last year and is now an unassuming home. The building quietly sits in the Balby suburb of Doncaster in South Yorkshire. 5 5 It went under the hammer with a guide price of £150,000, before selling for £145,000 in October. It's likely that those living next-door have no idea that the building was once on one of Britain's most iconic TV shows. Open All Hours, which aired in 1976, ran for four seasons. It was rated the eighth best sitcom in the country in 2004. The show ran from 1976 to 1985 and had 17 million viewers a week at its peak. Created by Roy Clarke, the plot followed Albert Arkwright, who runs a grocery shop in Doncaster's Balby and is in love with Nurse Gladys, who lives opposite his shop. But Gladys rejects his proposals as she has to look after her ill mother. The fictional shop owned by Arkwright - played by Ronnie Barker - used a residential property for exterior shots. After the show ended, the building went up for auction but failed to sell. It was earmarked for demolition before campaigners saved it in 2008. The property was then concerned into a unisex hairdressers, called the Beautique hair salon. Auctioneers hoped that the property's TV history would attract plenty of bidders when it went to auction on October 16 with a guide price of £150,000. The building came with two self-contained flats on the upper floor and boasts an annual rent of £16,440 when fully let. Film crews moved in for weeks at a time for each series of Open All Hours. The end-terrace on Lister Avenue in Balby, less than a mile from Doncaster city centre, became a tourist attraction over the years. But now, those passing by would never guess at the house's history and fame. 5 5 Sir David Jason reveals touching gesture from Ronnie Barker after legendary Open All Hours star retired By Caron McKinlay ACTOR David Jason revealed this morning how the late Ronnie Barker gave him a touching gift. The two men worked together on classic sitcom Open All Hours from 1976 to 1985. During an appearance on Chris Moyles' Radio X show today, Sir David recounted how Ronnie gave him a certificate with fancy old fashioned writing. Chris asked if the writing was Calligraphy and David replied: 'Yes, that's it. Yeah.' David then went on to reveal that the certificate was about a foot wide by about two foot long . The certificate said 'Sir Ronnie Barker will give to his honourable friend, Sir David Jason, the title of The Governor which he shall now relinquish.' Chris and David agreed that the certificate was a lovely thing to do and then David asked Chris if he could guess where it's displayed. Chris correctly guessed it was displayed in the downstairs toilet and they both laughed. David went on to say that: 'Ronnie B was, which I learned, so generous with the whole team." He said that Ronnie knew that the only way you can get a successful show is to incorporate and encourage the team that you have. He said: "So, he had time for everybody, and he was generous of spirit and of time." David then said: "And because you do hear – no names, no pack drill – mainly some of the big names coming out of Hollywood who can be extremely difficult and a pain.'

Emmerdale actor leaves fans in 'bits' as he breaks down at Soap Awards
Fans watching the British Soap Awards on TV spotted the emotional moment. Emmerdale fans were left emotional whilst watching the British Soap Awards as long-time cast member Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle, broke down in tears during a powerful tribute. The glittering took place at London's Hackney Empire on Saturday (May 31) but aired on TV on Thursday night. On the evening a Memorial section was included in the ceremony to honour late soap icons who are sadly no longer with us. Among the stars who were remembered were Meg Johnson, Kenneth Cope, Anita Carey, and finally Emmerdale legend Steve Halliwell, who played Zak Dingle, writes The Mirror. Steve, who passed away in December 2023 at the age of 77, played the much-loved patriarch of the Dingle family for almost thirty years. The star first appeared in the ITV soap in 1994, and then went on to be featured in more than 2,400 episodes of Emmerdale. His tribute featured a moving montage of his work, which was accompanied by a live piano instrumental. As Halliwell's final clip played, cameras panned to Jeff Hordley, who plays Zak's son in the soap. The actor was visibly emotional and looked as if he was wiping away tears from his eyes, which prompted a heartfelt reaction from fans on social media. One viewer wrote: "Aww, you could see at the end there seeing Steve affected Jeff." Another affected fan added: "Broke me that Steve Halliwell with Jeff Hordley." Steve Halliwell passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, according to a statement released by his family in 2023. They said: "He went to sleep, peacefully with his loved ones around him. He was making us laugh to the end, the most amazing father and grandfather you could ever wish for." ITV also released a touching tribute at the time, saying: "Steve will forever be synonymous with Emmerdale. The proud defender and head of the Dingle family. Heart and humour in all he did, it has been and always will be impossible not to smile when you think of him." Aside from Emmerdale, Halliwell also appeared in popular shows including Coronation Street, Heartbeat, All Creatures Great and Small, and Cracker. However, it was his portrayal of farmer Zak Dingle that he is primarily remembered for. He previously opened up about his family's financial hardships during his childhood, admitting that his mum couldn't even afford to buy him a bacon sandwich. Steve shared: "When I first went on this walk there was a small café in the woods known as Nab's Wife (a corruption of the area originally known as Nab's Wharfe), where you could get a refreshing cup of tea and a Mars bar. You could also get a bacon butty, but we never had enough money for such 'luxuries'. On one occasion I persuaded mum to give Clive and me enough money for a bacon butty each, but when we got to the café it was all boarded up and, sadly, never reopened." He was homeless and even imprisoned for "wandering" under the Vagrancy Act early on in his adult life before he went on to find solace in acting and made a name for himself as the formidable head of the Dingle family. 'One last promotion party before looking to challenge ahead'
After five weeks on cloud nine, the Premier League table has officially refreshed for next season and Leeds United are alphabetically 11th - stop the count! The Kaiser Chiefs gig at Temple Newsam, celebrating 20 years of their debut album "Employment", felt like one last promotion party before attention turned to the challenge club anthem "I Predict a Riot" featured twice on the night - as Leeds' number nine turned guitarist Patrick Bamford took stage for a one-off performance with the band. The Championship trophy was present too, along with a crop of Bielsa-era three clubs promoted from the Championship have gone straight back down in each of the past two seasons, and so we are led to believe that any prospect of Leeds surviving is doubtful.I think if you unpack it, none of the clubs promoted in that time have had any big-club pull or mentality to do some smart, serious business in the transfer window. Leeds and Sunderland will both have for what he has gone on to achieve, is undoubtedly up there with the most ground-breaking transfers out of the Premier League since Gareth Bale in 2013 - having only spent two seasons at Elland sheer scale of Leeds United, its rich history and renowned fanbase, means they are naturally a more favoured TV selection for the numbers generated. All this, accompanied with the foundations in place and money at play, makes Leeds the more appetising stage for a certain type of factor next season is that nine clubs have qualified for European football, which will perhaps give Leeds an edge in games against weakened or fatigued sides.
