Three senior King George Hospital doctors held in Srushti scandal
The arrested doctors include Dr. Vasupalli Ravi, Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Deputy Superintendent at KGH; Dr. Usha Devi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics at KGH; and Dr. Ramya, a staff member of the Department of Pediatrics who had previously been arrested and released on bail. Notably, Dr. Ramya is reportedly a close associate of Dr. Namrata, who was also arrested in connection with the case.
Dr. Ravi, who had been on leave for the past three days, is the brother of former YSRCP MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, raising questions about potential political involvement.
Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar had represented the same constituency in Visakhapatnam during the time of the Srushti case. According to sources, the arrested doctors allegedly worked at the Srushti Fertility Hospital while simultaneously performing their official duties at KGH.
KGH Superintendent 'unaware' of doctors' arrest in Srushti case
KGH Superintendent Dr. Vani claimed she was unaware of the arrests, stating that she had not been officially informed about the police action. The recent arrests bring the total number of people arrested from Visakhapatnam in the Srishti case to five: Chitikireddi Kalyani Atchayyamma, manager at the Visakhapatnam branch; Vidyullatha, arrested at Hyderabad airport; Dr. Ramya; Dr. Vasupalli Ravi; and Dr. Usha Devi.

Bengaluru: Over half a dozen Darshan fans, who were arrested for sending abusive and obscene messages to actress-cum-politician Divyaspandana, also known as Ramya, will now get a chance to spend time with their favourite star in the Central Prison. The central crime branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested seven people till now in a case related to posting vulgar messages against Ramya on social media platforms, including Instagram and X. All are hardcore fans of Darshan, and they reportedly voluntarily abused Ramya for her post on the developments in the Supreme Court on the Renukaswamy murder case. However, police sources maintained that they will not allow the fans to meet the accused actor. Darshan may not be allowed to step out of his room for the next few days, a senior officer said. But the fans who are lodged in the same prison may get a chance to greet Darshan in unavoidable circumstances. Woman drowns, nephew rescued at RK Beach
Visakhapatnam: A 56-year-old woman, T Vasantha from Secunderabad, Telangana, drowned on Thursday evening while her nephew, Sai Krishna (35), was rescued by lifeguards. A 26-year-old man, Govind from Odisha, who attempted to save Vasantha, also drowned and remains missing. According to reports, Vasantha and Sai Krishna were in Vizag to attend a wedding and had gone to RK Beach for a casual splash in the sea. While in the water, they were caught in a strong current that dragged them deep. Seeing Vasantha struggle, Govind rushed to help but was swept away. Sai Krishna, though caught in the same current, was rescued by coastal security police and lifeguards and taken to King George Hospital for treatment.
