Brad Pitt caused chaos with first attempt at method acting
The F1 star - who is known for his frequent scenes in which he eats on screen - recalled how one of the first jobs he booked required him to eat a plate of beans after days of his character being without food, and so he tucked in with gusto.
However, "something hit" Brad after the fourth take, much to the horror of everyone on the small set.
He recalled to Jason and Travis Kelce on their New Heights podcast: 'We're shooting in this little tiny cafe. It's full of the crew, so there's about 60 people in there. It's hot. You can't breathe.
"My character hadn't eaten for days, and he gets his big plate of beans, first plate of beans and bacon. And I was all like, Method, you know?
"I was like, yeah, I'm going to do this right. I just powered down this plate of beans. Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. On four, I do the same thing.
"Then oh no. Something hit me.
'There was nothing I could do. I was stuck in this chair.
'And nature took its course. Then there was nothing. I went, oh, great. I got away with that one. And then suddenly the entire crew… The most diabolical something… something descended on the crew in the whole room and they fled the cafe.'
The 61-year-old actor's breakthrough role came in 1991's Thelma and Louise and he admitted he was initially starstruck by his co-stars Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon.
Asked if he had ever been starstruck, he told the brothers: 'When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was. Yeah. Igot over it quickly, though.'
Brad previously praised Geena for looking after him during their sex scene in the film.
She said: 'Geena [Davis] was so sweet and kind and delicate. That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me.'
And after winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Geena admitted she always knew her co-star was "super talented".
She told People magazine in 2020: 'He just has 'it.' I could tell when he was auditioning that he was super talented.
'He has done so many incredible things over the years. I don't think that it is unusual for him to be honoured. He really is the 'star' of the moment, which is fabulous, and it is just great to see.'

Mad Max adds extra grunt to outback music festival
Mad Max fans dressed in leg braces, studded leather, masks and goggles are heading to Australia's biggest outback music festival for a post-apocalyptic-themed tribute to the Oscar-winning movie franchise. One of the highlights of the three-day Mundi Mundi Bash, the Mad Max themed dress-up gathering and competition sees punters - and the event's promoter Greg Donovan - channel their favourite characters from the iconic George Miller films, complete with burned-out cars. Open to all ages, the Mundi Mundi Bash is staged on Belmont Station, 9km north of Silverton and 35km from Broken Hill, NSW, and has become an annual pilgrimage for many. "We're officially at full capacity," Donovan says of the BYO, dog-friendly music and camping event, which swings into action on Thursday. The 2025 bash will celebrate its Mad Max heritage on Saturday with themed activities that reference Furiosa - the latest instalment of George Miller's franchise, which was filmed on the festival grounds. "We have an awesome line-up, but in many ways, the incredible landscape is the real headliner," Donovan says. "When you pair that with our iconic Aussie artists and give people the chance to camp under stars in the middle of nowhere - that's where the magic happens." Some 6000 vehicles and almost 15,000 punters converge on the plains to create the event's pop-up city - known as Mundiville - which Donovan says has a population "close to the size of Broken Hill itself". "The whole town has embraced us and each year our festival goers have more to experience in the region with businesses organising special activities and promotions in town pre and post the bash," he says. It appears the NSW government agrees - it has sealed the last 2.5 km of road into the station in time for the 2025 event. The bash will be the last dance for one of the festival's most popular traditions - the Nutbush Dance World Record Attempt, which raises money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Melbourne musician Mick Thomas will open the bash's main stage performances on Thursday before evening sets by Kasey Chambers and The Angels. Friday's program includes shows by Birds of Tokyo and Missy Higgins and Iota's Ziggy - 50 Years of Bowie tribute, while Kate Ceberano, The Cat Empire and Hoodoo Gurus top the bill on Saturday. The Mundi Mundi Bash runs from Thursday to Saturday.

Jimmie Allen loses sexual assault lawsuit
Jimmie Allen has lost a lawsuit which alleged he sexually assaulted a woman. The country singer was also anonymously accused of filming a sexual encounter in a Las Vegas hotel room without Jane Doe's consent, and though he has insisted he is innocent, Judge Aleta A. Trayger entered a judgement on Monday (18.08.25) against the 40-year-old star over the claims of assault, battery, invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress because he failed to comply with court-imposed deadlines and orders. In documents obtained by People magazine, the judge wrote: 'The defendants throughout have failed to comply with case management discovery deadlines and even failed to comply with specific Orders of this court." Jimmie - who failed to obtain new legal representation after an attorney left his team - was also ordered to pay almost $5,000 to his accuser's lawyers for cancelling a mediation session at short notice. The judge added: 'For these reasons, the plaintiff's Motion for Sanctions and Judgment Against Defendants Jimmie Allen and Aadyn's Dad Touring, Inc. is GRANTED." Jane Doe's lawyer, Elizabeth Fegen, said she was "pleased with the Court's decision to grant judgment for Plaintiff in light of Jimmie Allen's refusal to participate in the litigation process." She added: "We look forward to proving up Plaintiff's damages caused by Allen's predatory acts." The Small Town Anthem singer's legal representative declared the judgement to be "purely procedural" and "the direct result of his prior counsel's repeated failures to comply with discovery obligations and court orders", and so they are planning to take "immediate action" to have the judgement discarded. Ted Anastasiou, who has taken on Jimmie's legal representation, added to People magazine: "This ruling was not based on the merits of the allegations. Mr. Allen has consistently and unequivocally maintained his innocence, and he firmly denies these accusations. "As with earlier accusations brought on the same baseless grounds, this case is equally meritless. The default judgment reflects the shortcomings of prior representation, not any wrongdoing by Mr. Allen. " It is well-established that a client should not be penalized for the failures of their attorney, and Mr. Allen should not be deprived of his right to a fair defense. "We intend to take immediate action to set aside this judgment and to ensure that the matter is decided on facts and evidence, rather than procedural missteps. Mr. Allen looks forward to the opportunity to clear his name in court." The lawsuit was filed in June 2023, in which the anonymous woman claimed the singer had violated her privacy by secretly filming their encounter and continuing to engage in sexual conduct with her even after she'd revoked her previously given consent. Jane Doe insisted she had no idea who Jimmie was when he first approached her on a plane to Nashville in May 2022 but they began to text and FaceTime daily, with the Freedom Was a Highway hitmaker leading her to believe he had separated from then-wife Alexis, who he ultimately divorced last year. Two months after their first meeting, the pair met in Las Vegas where Jane Doe felt "comfortable and safe" in Jimmie's hotel room because she thought she'd also have her own separate room, and while she "willingly joined" him in the bedroom, she alleged she had no idea he would be filming their sexual encounter and had insisted he use a condom. Her complaint stated: "He told her he would respect her request. Yet, as their encounter progressed, Allen penetrated Plaintiff during sex with his penis and without a condom. Allen told Plaintiff he wanted to get her pregnant. Plaintiff said no….He refused." The woman claimed she repeatedly asked him to stop and verbally revoked her consent but he continued. When he fell asleep, she went to leave the room and "panicked" when she noticed a phone in the closet which was "recording the scene." Jane Doe took the phone and deleted the video then claimed she turned the device over to her local police department. In July 2023, the Beer 99 singer filed a countersuit, with his lawyers arguing he had obtained permission from the woman to record their encounter, and accusing her of illegally taking his phone. She filed a motion to dismiss the countersuit in August that year and it was granted.

Kirsten Dunst's son had serious health scare
Kirsten Dunst's son had a serious health scare while she was filming in Budapest. The 43-year-old actress and her husband Jesse Plemons had initially rented a house in the city with their sons Ennis, seven, and James, four, while she was filming The Entertainment System Is Down, but their plans had to change when their youngest boy fell very ill. While Kirsten declined to share any details but stressed everyone is fine now, Jesse, 37, and the boys returned to Los Angeles, leaving the Virgin Suicides star alone in Budapest for months, a situation she compared to the movie Final Destination. She explained to Town and Country magazine: "Where you're imagining all the things that could go wrong, worst case scenarios happening to your child. 'I have never seen that movie. But I know the concept. That's how it feels to be a mother at times.' Despite the stressful time for them all, Kristen admitted James' health issues "brought us together as a family in such a deeper way.' And soon, the family are heading for the Bahamas after promising to take their sons on vacation 'anywhere James wanted to go.' The youngster told his parents: 'I want to go to a beach where my sandcastle won't wash away.' The Power of the Dog actress can next be seen in Roofman, and though she is delighted with the movie, she couldn't help but check her phone during one screening as she wanted to keep an eye on her family. She admitted: 'I wanted to make sure everything was okay." Despite her years of Hollywood success, Kirsten insisted her life isn't as glamorous as people might think. She laughed: "I drive a Volvo with two car seats in the back. It's our adult car. "[Jesse drives] his family's old Lexus - with no car seats.' Kirsten previously admitted she rarely gets any time to herself as a result of having two young children. She told People magazine: 'When everyone is asleep, and I can watch the shows I want like 'The Bachelor'. 'But honestly not even a shower is sacred at this point. Nothing is.' The Virgin Suicides star added when asked to describe her last 'perfect' day off: 'When you have two kids, you never have a day off. 'Right now it's being on a plane with no Wi-Fi. And people bring you food. That feels like a spa day for a mom.'
