The Sixth Scientific Conference of September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences, and the second to discuss graduation research of the second batch of students from the College of Medicine, concluded on Monday with a series of recommendations.
Support immunization campaigns to reduce infectious diseases among children, publish all student research and implement the college's research plan, make medical statistics a mandatory course for all medical students, and provide training courses in basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, support health education programs focusing on breastfeeding, sterilization, blood transfusion, and reducing the rate of cesarean sections, provide support to kidney and heart centers and raise awareness about autism, provide studies, services, and preventive measures to combat rabies.
Addressing the Graduates:
First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah congratulated the graduating students and emphasized the crucial role of scientists and researchers in the face of global challenges. He highlighted the importance of scientific advancement in overcoming the challenges faced by Yemen.
The Rector of September 21 University Dr. Mujahid Measar praised the success of the conference and the high-quality research presented by the graduating students. He emphasized the importance of publishing these research findings to contribute to the university's academic reputation.
Dean of the College of Medicine Dr. Salwa al-Ghamiri highlighted the significance of the research conducted by the graduating students, which addressed crucial health issues facing Yemeni society.
The conference served as a platform for showcasing the academic achievements of the students and fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the Yemeni healthcare system.

Sana'a - Saba: Ibn Al-Haytham Medical Complex in the Shu'ub district of the Capital Secretariat organized on Saturday a celebratory event marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. During the event, Dr. Mutaher Al-Maroni, Director of the Health Office in the Secretariat, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday, held annually to recall the virtues and life of the best of creation and the Seal of the Prophets, the guide to the nation, who brought the message of Islam to eradicate ignorance, backwardness, and the darkness of disbelief and polytheism. He highlighted the role of medical complexes in actively supporting such celebrations, promoting values of solidarity and benevolence, and offering discounts on various clinics and health services in honor of the Prophet's birthday, thereby alleviating citizens' suffering, particularly the families of martyrs and the wounded. Dr. Al-Maroni also praised the noticeable improvement in the quality of healthcare services at the medical complex, as well as the organization of this celebratory event, reflecting the Prophet's esteemed position in the hearts of Yemenis and their close connection to him. The event was attended by Shu'ub Local Secretary, Muhammad Al-Hadrami. Abdullah Al-Koul, Director of Mobilization in the district, highlighted the significance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday by providing free healthcare services, supporting patients, and easing their suffering during this occasion. He also spoke of the deep love and loyalty of the Yemeni people to the Messenger, their adherence to his path since the dawn of Islam, and the importance of drawing lessons from his birth, which marked the guidance of humanity from the darkness of polytheism to the light of Islam. Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Al-Madani, Director of Health in the district, and Dr. Ammar Al-Jadri of Ibn Al-Haytham Medical Complex, outlined the activities and initiatives implemented by the health sector in conjunction with the Prophet's birthday, including providing free services and offering discounts on all healthcare fees, following the example of the Messenger of Humanity and mercy to the worlds. They affirmed that the participation of healthcare sector personnel in celebrations marking the Prophet's birth reflects a tribute to the noble Muhammadan values, principles, and ethics, and embodies loyalty, love, and sincere devotion to the Seal of the Prophets, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

Sana'a - Saba: Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed Hussein al-Aidaroos met on Sunday with Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban. The meeting, attended by Deputy Speaker Mohammed Hassan al-Durrah, the Chairman and members of the Public Health and Population Committee of the Council, a number of Shura members, and the Secretary-General, discussed the service activities of the Ministry and its affiliated health agencies, the challenges they face, and the means to address them. The meeting listened to a presentation by the Minister of Health and Environment on the Ministry's efforts to improve health services, maintain the stability of the pharmaceutical market, and work within the framework of community initiatives to provide a number of dialysis centers in the districts. The meeting also addressed the plan of the Shura Council's Public Health and Population Committee to study the status of Yemeni agencies, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical market, to address existing shortcomings and come up with appropriate solutions to improve performance and achieve safe health services and treatment. During the meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council praised the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Environment in providing health services to citizens, within the available capabilities, under the circumstances imposed by the aggression and blockade. He emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to advance the health sector, keep pace with modern developments, and work to form a national team to develop an appropriate study to reform and develop the performance of hospitals and agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Health, and improve medical services and healthcare. Al-Aidaroos directed the Public Health and Population Committee to coordinate with the Ministry of Health and Environment and its affiliated agencies to develop a unified vision accompanied by recommendations to address the challenges and priority problems facing the health sector. For his part, the Minister of Health and Environment expressed his appreciation to the Speaker of the Shura Council and the Council's Health Committee for following up on the Ministry's efforts and addressing the problems and difficulties it faces, in order to find appropriate solutions and treatments to develop the health system. The meeting was enriched by contributions from committee members and the government, which emphasized the importance of identifying the problems facing the health sector, focusing on health centers and hospitals in remote areas, rehabilitating the infrastructure of health facilities and hospitals, and developing a regulatory framework for cooperation between government and private hospitals to ensure smooth delivery of services.
