AAPs Bihar Debut: Arvind Kejriwals Party To Field Candidates In All Seats
AAP in Bihar: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest the assembly elections in Bihar that are expected to be held later this year. In addition, the party will contest in all seats.
The party is preparing for the Bihar assembly elections. A padayatra will be held in the state from May 31 to June 3, and it will be in seven phases.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and lays the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs. 48,520 crores in Bihar on Friday.
While addressing a gathering, PM Modi took a swipe at the Opposition party in the state and said that for decades, the Dalits, backwards classes, and tribals did not even have toilets.
"Those who cheated Bihar the most, under whose rule the poor and deprived had to leave Bihar, today the same people are telling lies of social justice. For decades, the Dalits, backwards classes, and tribals did not even have toilets... They were not even allowed to enter banks... Was this plight, pain, and suffering of the people of Bihar the social justice of Congress and RJD?" the Prime Minister said.
He added that Congress and the RJD used to bring foreigners to Bihar to show them the poverty in the state.
"Now, when Dalits, the deprived and the backwards society, have left Congress because of its sins, they are remembering social justice to save their existence. The country saw a new dawn of social justice in the era of NDA," the PM said.
On the other hand, BJP leader Mahachandra Prasad Singh has been appointed as Chairman of the Bihar State Commission for the Development of Upper Castes
Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, JDU National Spokesperson, has been appointed as Vice Chairman.

The Assembly elections in the state are expected to be held in October-November this year.
Nitish Kumar from Janata Dal (United) is the Chief Minister of Bihar at present, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), headed by Lalu Prasad Yadav's family, is a strong opposition party in the state.

Jabalpur: A 'Jai Hind Sabha' organised by the Congress at the Shaheed Memorial here on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the BJP over its two ministers' controversial remarks against the Army and its officer Col Sofiya Qureshi. Ex-servicemen gathered at the rally threatened to launch a statewide protest if action is not taken against the ministers. He expressed concern over unemployment, stating that if the youth's future remains bleak, how will the state develop? Another ex-CM Digvijays Singh said those who did not contribute to the country's Independence were now insulting the soldiers who were willing to die for the nation. He noted that despite the Army's respect for PM Narendra Modi, the BJP was not taking action against its leaders. The leader of opposition in the MP assembly, Umang Singhar, said the country's democracy was in danger, with BJP leaders insulting the army. He mentioned that they face mistreatment when they protest, and preparations were underway to "establish a dictatorial regime". Chhattisgarh former CM Bhupesh Baghel and Congress MP unit president Jitu Patwari also slammed the BJP on issues such as the insult to the army, women's safety, and ceasefire violations.

Diggy sticks to vow, skips stage at Jabalpur rally
Jabalpur: Congress leader and former CM Digvijaya Singh chose not to take the stage at the party's 'Jai Hind Sabha' here on Saturday, sticking to his public vow made a month earlier after a podium scuffle in Gwalior. He remained seated with his supporters in an area designated for senior citizens in front of the stage. During this time, several leaders invited him to come on stage, but he declined their requests with folded hands. Alongside him were Vishnu Shankar Pauranik, the former president of Jabalpur rural Congress, and former MP Rameshwar the event, he was repeatedly invited to come on the stage, but he refused each time. On April 28, Singh declared he would never sit on a stage again after a squabble erupted among INC office bearers in Gwalior over seating arrangements on the podium during Congress' 'Samvidhan Bachao' rally. Gehlot meets gig workers at his home
Jaipur: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot met gig workers at his residence Saturday. He discussed with them the pioneering Rajasthan Platform Based Gig Workers (Registration and Welfare) Act, 2023, which was brought under his administration. He said that after the BJP came to power in the state, the law was not implemented, leading to dissatisfaction among gig workers. "Today I met with gig workers at my residence to discuss their issues. During our Congress govt, the first Gig Workers Welfare Act in the country was established in Rajasthan, which included a law for the social security of gig workers. It covered insurance, set working hours, and prevented unjust dismissals," said Gehlot on X. "The law also provided for a Rs 200-crore Gig Workers Welfare Fund and Board. It aimed to curb the arbitrary practices of internet-based companies," he added. Gehlot said society should empathise with gig workers who work 14-18 hours a day. "They mentioned that in many residential societies, gig workers are prohibited from using the elevator, which is unfair. These workers, who come to serve the residents, face difficulties climbing stairs with their belongings. After the change in state govt, this law was not implemented," he said.
