Eagles player calls Ivanka Trump 'his type' in inappropriate posts after White House visit

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks attended Monday's trip to the
White House
despite
several players choosing to skip the occasion
, and he proceeded to call Donald Trump's daughter "beautiful" on social media.
A sizable portion of the
Eagles
roster was absent as their
Super Bowl
win was honored by
Trump
at the White House, with
NBC News confirming that a government representative cited "scheduling conflicts"
as the primary reason.
Trump celebrated quarterback Jalen Hurts
despite the
Super Bowl MVP not being present
, but awkwardly admitted that
he predicted the Kansas City Chiefs to win over the Eagles
.
It was a major occasion for all players -
coming after Trump found a ludicrous way to make himself look taller while standing next to Ohio State's football team
- but especially the younger members of the roster, such as Ricks, who are relatively new to the
NFL
.

However, Ricks couldn't help but admire Ivanka Trump's beauty upon meeting the daughter of the President, and even claimed that she was his "type" in an unexpected string of social media posts.
Ricks posted a picture to his Instagram story from inside the White House, raising his fist to mimic Trump. Ricks' selfie was taken in front of an iconic image of the President, when he survived an assassination attempt before being re-elected.
It appears that Ricks is a fan of Trump, but was more in awe of his daughter when leaving the White House. "
Donald Trump
daughter is beautiful damn," Ricks posted on X before adding: "After seeing her in person Ivanka is exactly my type."

Ricks' posts instantly went viral, with some fans praising his confidence while others were shocked by his honesty. Ivanka Trump's age was also mentioned, as she is 43 and happily married to businessman Jared Kushner, while Ricks is only 23.
It was still a successful turnout from the Eagles despite several players skipping the event alongside Hurts, as wide-receiver duo A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith also didn't attend. Jordan Davis, Jalen Cart, Josh Sweat, Jalyx Hunt, Zach Baun, Nakobe Dean, Nolan Smith JR, Darius Slay, Quinyon Mitchell, Isaiah Rodgers, and CJ Gardner-Johnson also missed out.
One of the players in attendance was Saquon Barkley, who received backlash for meeting with President Trump a day early. Barkley was pictured with Trump at his
New Jersey
golf club on Sunday, before flying to the White House.

Despite already planning to attend on Monday, Barkley was forced to speak out on social media after coming under heavy scrutiny. "Lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT," Barkley posted on X.
"Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago...and look forward to finishing my round with Trump! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day."

Trump is also a big fan of Barkley, and claimed that he warned the New York Giants ahead of their decision to let the running back test free agency. "By the way, I have to tell you something," Trump said at the White House. "I was with the Giants and the head coach, and some people, and I said, 'Do anything you have to but don't lose Saquon.' They lost Saquon. That was not good.
"I called that one, that was an easy one to call as he played damn well for the Giants I can tell you that. But, he made the right decision because it is a team sport and he has great people in this team."
The Giants refused to meet Barkley's salary demands, and he proceeded to sign with their NFC East rivals ahead of the 2024 NFL season. Barkley was named Offensive Player of the Year after becoming the ninth player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season, and led the Eagles to the championship.

Midlife, meet muscle: 9 best exercises to start at 40

2. Pilates Above (Photo: Lê Đức / Pexels) Experiencing a resurgence of late, Pilates targets deep core muscles, improves flexibility and stabilises joints, all while making you feel like a ballerina with abs. Why are people loving it? This workout strengthens without strain, improves mobility and posture and tones and tightens safely. Reformer sessions at a studio can train you on the proper techniques, but if you are not keen on taking a class, try Mat Pilates at home. Studio Lagree and Alo Moves offer celeb-loved digital options. See more: 5 Reasons why more women over 40 are choosing Pilates over any other workout 3. Swimming Above (Photo: Pixabay / Pexels) Swimming is one of the best exercises to start at 40, but it's really an overall good skill to have. It's lifesaving, after all. Swimming offers resistance and cardio in one no-impact package. It's fantastic for joint health, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness, especially if you've had previous injuries or mobility concerns. Plus, it improves lung capacity and strengthens your core and back muscles. Swimming is low-impact, boosts heart health and supports mental clarity—no wonder it's a go-to for stars like Nicole Kidman, Adam Peaty and Natalie Coughlin. Take lessons to learn proper techniques, and then commit to 30-minute laps twice or thrice a week. 4. Yoga and mobility Above (Photo: Marcus Aurelius / Pexels) Yoga isn't just about touch-your-toes flexibility or headstands on Instagram. For the 40-plus body, it enhances mobility, reduces inflammation and supports better sleep and mood regulation. Poses that lengthen the spine and open the hips are key for counteracting years of sedentary habits. Plus, the mind-body connection helps manage the stress that tends to pile up with age. Gwyneth Paltrow integrates yoga into her wellness empire, while Keanu Reeves uses it for mobility and injury prevention. 5. Walking and hiking Above (Photo: İrem Çilingir / Pexels) Not sold on walking? Michelle Obama's a fan of daily strolls, and she's onto something. Walking is a low-impact cardiovascular gem, and when done with intention, it reshapes not just your glutes but your entire energy profile. At 40 and beyond, when joint longevity starts to matter more than gym ego, walking becomes the unsung hero. It improves circulation, supports heart health, reduces stress hormones and even sharpens cognition. Aim for 30 to 45 minutes at a brisk pace (you should be slightly out of breath but still able to talk). Jennifer Aniston enjoys steep inclined treadmill strolls while Chris Hemsworth incorporates weighted treks into his recovery days. 6. Dance fitness Above (Photo: Andrea Piacquadi / Pexels) There's something profoundly liberating about a sweat session that feels more like a Beyoncé concert than a boot camp. Dance fitness—whether it's Zumba, barre or a YouTube hip-hop class in your kitchen—is the workout of choice for many over-40s who'd rather move to music than get shouted at in spin class. Dance raises your heart rate, improves coordination, torches calories and triggers the release of feel-good endorphins. And because it doesn't feel like traditional 'work', you're more likely to stick with it. For midlife bodies, which may be more prone to joint stiffness or muscle imbalances, dance improves mobility, posture and that elusive thing called rhythm. Bonus: it can even keep your memory sharp, remembering all those steps. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Madonna have turned to dance-based cardio to stay lean and limber. 7. Martial arts and boxing Above (Photo: Gleb Krasnoborov / Pexels) Turning 40 doesn't mean you start pulling punches. In fact, this is the perfect age to start throwing them. Boxing and martial arts aren't just for bruisers and action stars; they're mind-body bootstraps that sculpt the arms, fire up the core and obliterate stress with every jab. Many over-40s start with boxing-inspired fitness classes or martial arts disciplines like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai or Taekwondo. You can even just shadowbox at home. What you get: better reflexes, improved balance (which naturally declines with age) and a surprise uptick in mental sharpness. It's cardio, coordination and confidence in one sweat-drenched session. 8. Functional fitness Above (Photo: Karl Solano / Pexels) In your 40s, you're likely over the aesthetic benefits of exercise. Functional fitness is one of the best exercises to start at 40 because it's about training for everyday tasks. Think squats that mimic picking up groceries, lunges that prep you for climbing stairs without wincing or resistance work that makes hauling luggage effortless. Functional fitness enhances mobility, builds core stability and corrects posture, all crucial as your joints begin to creak and muscle mass naturally declines. It's also incredibly versatile: no need for intimidating gym equipment. A mat and a good trainer (or YouTube playlist) will do. Start with basic movements, such as squats, push-ups and planks, and gradually level up with light weights or resistance tools. 9. Cycling Above (Photo: Pixabay / Pexels) Cycling is one of the best exercises to start at 40, partly because you can afford a decent bike now. The low-impact and high-reward exercise gets the heart pumping without pounding your joints. Great for building leg strength and endurance, cycling, whether indoor or outdoor, also improves coordination and balance, which is key as you age. Whether it's a spin class or a Sunday ride, this is cardio with flair. Fans of cycling include David Beckham, who hits the bike for active recovery, and Shakira, who is often spotted doing spin intervals for endurance.

Things you didn't know about Baileys

The name Baileys isn't Irish either According to the Irish Times , Gluckman and Seymour-Davies borrowed the name from Baileys Bistro, a restaurant located beneath their new office in SoHo, London. It just sounded right. Baileys comes in more flavours than you'd expect Above From Dublin to the world: Baileys has won hearts with its variety of flavour twists (photo: Getty Images / Monica Schipper) Beyond the original Irish Cream, the brand has expanded its repertoire to include indulgent favourites like Salted Caramel, Espresso Crème, Chocolate Cherry and Vanilla Cinnamon. Seasonal specials such as Pumpkin Spice keep things fresh, while the vegan-friendly Baileys Almande—made with almond milk—offers a plant-based option. Limited-edition releases such as Strawberries & Cream, Chocolat Luxe and Dulce de Leche (the latter exclusive to Mexico) prove Baileys isn't afraid to experiment. Pure ingredients, proudly sourced Each year, Baileys uses more than 250 million litres of fresh milk sourced directly from Ireland. According to a 2015 report by the Irish government's Merrion Street agency, this milk is collected from over 40,000 cows across 1,500 carefully selected farms. It is then transported to the Baileys facility in Dublin, where it becomes the cream used in the liqueur—a product with a shelf life of up to two years. Above Baileys has come to symbolise indulgence and ease (photo: Instagram / @baileysofficial) At least five men have laid claim to its creation The names most often associated with Baileys' beginnings include David Gluckman, David Dand, Mac Macpherson, Steve Wilson and Tom Jago. Among them, Jago is widely regarded as the most credible source. A pioneer in spirits innovation, he also helped create Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Malibu, and later co-founded The Last Drop Distillers with James Espey. According to Jago, Gluckman and Seymour-Davies were copywriters, Macpherson served as the chemist, Wilson assisted him, and Dand oversaw the project. Together, they experimented with a mix of whiskey, cream, sugar and chocolate, along with a name that would eventually become world-famous. A favourite among women Above Versatile and stylish, Baileys pairs beautifully with a wide range of treats (photo: Instagram / @baileysofficial) With an approachable alcohol content of around 17% and a soft, sweet profile, Baileys holds strong appeal, particularly among women. In 2014, Diageo launched a female-focused campaign titled 'This is for Us,' conceived by an all-female creative team at BBH London. According to Irish Central, the campaign was crafted specifically for the Millennial woman. It isn't just for after dinner In 2019, Baileys debuted a line of coffee creamers (think cold brews in flavours such as Caramel and Irish Coffee) aimed at brightening up your morning ritual. The brand has also ventured into desserts, releasing products like yoghurt and chocolate biscuits for fans wanting a little extra indulgence.
