Confirmed: Haseen Dillruba 3 In The Works; Here's What Taapsee Pannu Just Revealed
Last Updated:
Taapsee Pannu and Kanika Dhillon are officially cooking up Haseen Dillruba 3—and this time, it's Pagalpan x 3.
The femme fatale saga is far from over. After the pulpy thrill and twisted romance of Haseen Dillruba and its sequel Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, the powerhouse duo of Taapsee Pannu and Kanika Dhillon have all but confirmed a third chapter in the beloved Netflix franchise—and the madness is only set to escalate.
According to a Mid-day report, scripting for the third installment is officially underway, with sources close to the production revealing that the story of Rani and Rishu will continue in an even more thrilling, seductive, and chaotic direction. 'It is one of the most successful titles for the platform. So, the aim is to create a more fun, juicy, and thrilling third part," the insider said.
The buzz began a few weeks ago when Taapsee shared a nostalgic clip from Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba with the cheeky caption: 'Missing the pagalpan, Pandit ji. What say?"—a direct nudge to the film's writer, Kanika Dhillon. The response was telling. Kanika teased fans with, 'The wait won't last that long, Rani ji! Panditji is already onto the agli kitaab. Iss wali mein there is Pagalpan x 3."
The playful exchange set social media abuzz, with Taapsee adding fuel to the fire: 'Let's ask the audience who gave us so much love… What twist are you expecting in the unexpected life of Rani this time?"
The original Haseen Dillruba premiered in 2021 and quickly became a fan favorite for its dark, twisted take on romance and revenge. Its sequel, released in 2024, expanded the universe with new layers of deception and desire. With each installment, Rani's world has grown more unpredictable—and clearly, fans can't get enough.
While plot details for the third film are tightly under wraps, what's clear is that expectations are sky-high. With Haseen Dillruba now one of Netflix India's most popular thriller franchises, the creative team seems ready to raise the stakes.
Meanwhile, Taapsee is also gearing up for her next release, Gandhari, directed by Devashish Makhija and produced by Kanika Dhillon. Co-starring Ishwak Singh, the film wrapped in March and is slated to release on Netflix later this year.
As Rani's saga gears up for its next chapter, one thing's certain: Pagalpan x 3 isn't just a promise—it's a warning.
