Winter Spring Summer or Fall made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024. The film is directed by Tiffany Paulsen (screenwriter of Netflix's Holidate) from a screenplay by Dan Schoffer.
Winter Spring Summer or Fall debuted digital streaming via premium video on demand on Friday, April 25, and is playing in theaters in limited release.
The movie is listed for purchase only for $14.99 on a variety of digital platforms, including AppleTV+, Fandango at Home and Prime Video, with no digital rental options at this time.
Winter Spring Summer Or Fall went into production not long before the release of Wednesday Season 1, so director Tiffany Paulsen said she didn't have the opportunity to see Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White in a scene together in what soon became a blockbuster Netflix series.
Luckily, Paulsen recalled in a Zoom interview before Winter Spring Summer or Fall premiered at Tribeca, she instantly sensed how great Ortega and Hynes White were together on camera.
'It was magic,' Paulsen enthused. 'We were so over the moon that first day to go, 'Oh, my gosh. These two have lightning-in-a-bottle chemistry and how lucky are we to have this right now in this moment?' It was really special.'
Paulsen noted that she not only loved the dialogue between her two leads, but the subtle moments in-between where you can tell that the wheels are spinning in their minds.
'The things that attract me to stories and romances especially are — and I'm a writer, first and foremost — those moments between the dialogue,' Paulsen noted. 'It's magical to watch those moments and see them coming alive and wondering what your characters are thinking. Both of them really captured that and built the silence with such interest.'
Also starring Adam Rodriguez and Marisol Nichols as Remi's parents, Javier and Carmen, Winter Spring Summer or Fall is new on PVOD on Friday.

Lights, camera, conflict? Village of Liverpool Mayor wants American High out
LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Since 2017, American High has brought a slice of Hollywood to Central New York, transforming a former middle school in the Village of Liverpool into a working film studio that has appeared on mega streaming platforms like Hulu and Netflix. However, the relationship between the studio and the village mayor is nearing a breaking point, as she's asking the production studio to leave. The spark started with her recent letter to in which Village Mayor Stacy Finney stated that the filming has become too disruptive, citing repeated road closures, traffic backups, noise complaints, and what she describes as a lack of cooperation from the studio over the years. Jeremy Garelick, CEO & Founder of American High, responded to the Village of Liverpool Mayor dispute, reminding Central New Yorkers that 'No one is working in our business, yet we're thriving here in Liverpool, how are we doing that?' The founder and CEO of American High admitted that the production company has had some stumbles, especially in the beginning. 'I've never bought a building that was a 100 years old to fix it up. I've never done it so we're making mistakes and along the way we've screwed up a couple of times,' Garelick said. But Mayor Finney wasn't satisfied with that explanation. In her public letter, she said American High has repeatedly disrupted village life, yet Garelick insisted the studio is trying to be a good neighbor to the CNY community, bringing the 'life' back to Liverpool by putting the local gem back on the map. 'We don't shoot on weekends, and we don't have the generator going on weekends,' he said. 'It was the weekend the Canadian wildfires were going off—so maybe that was what was causing her to hack up a lung.' American High says it's created hundreds of jobs in Central New York, brought in millions of dollars in production spending, and given young local talent a foot in the door of the entertainment industry. While their marriage once felt like a fairy tale, the 34-year-old geologist said she now feels that Johnson was never ready to be a husband. "It wasn't one thing. Yeah, it was a layer of situations and things that just kept piling it up," Gonzalez told host and fellow "Love Is Blind" alum Amber Desiree "AD" Smith. When Gonzalez informed Johnson that she would file for divorce, he allegedly said he would not sign them unless there was a non-disclosure agreement. Lydia said Milton would not cut off 'disrespectful' ex-partner One of the first signs of trouble in their marriage was an argument the two had about one of Johnson's ex-partners, according to Gonzalez. She considered the woman "very insistent" and "very disrespectful towards our marriage." She added that he also kept a ripped up love letter from the woman in a shoebox at their apartment. At one point, Gonzalez went through Johnson's phone and said she found a text from him referring to the woman that read "I want to (expletive) that person." "When I saw that my heart went to the floor. I felt like betrayed and disrespected," she said. "And then I remember calling him and telling him, 'how long has it been that you want to (expletive) this person.' And he was like, 'what are we talking about.'" Johnson denied any infidelity, adding that he would never jeopardize their marriage and said "that's how boys talk," according to Gonzalez. USA TODAY has reached out to Johnson for comment. 'Love is Blind' pair tried marriage counseling Gonzalez said that her husband felt that she had violated their trust and one day called her "stupid and an untrustworthy person." "I don't consider myself a jealous person, unless you give me motives to, once you give me motives to I'll become a detective. I don't care because my gut instinct is so clever. I mean, it never fails me," she said. She added that the two participated in couple's therapy but that she felt it was not working. Gonzalez said other issues included Johnson becoming distant and addicted to the video game "Halo" and him allegedly scolding her in front of his family for cursing too much. Over time, she said his comments "kept making me feel small" and eventually made the decision to end the relationship she once felt showed her the "kind of love that I've never received before." The pair met on Season 5 of the reality dating show on Netflix, in which contestants looking for romance interact via pods designed to keep their appearances a mystery.
