Despite recent links with Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi, the Serie A runners-up have chosen Fabregas.
However, the 38-year-old has yet to give a green light, though he finds the proposal 'tempting.'
Fabregas is currently in London and may soon hold a face-to-face meeting with Como president Mirwan Suwarso.
Indeed, the two will discuss the idea of the former's switch to Inter.

Therefore, the Italian giants are in the market for a new head coach, with Cesc Fabregas emerging as the top candidate for the job.

However, the ex-Arsenal midfielder is still contemplating his future.
Indeed, he initially wanted to stay at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia for at least one more year.
But Inter's interest has seemingly changed his mind.

Maserati ready to present new business plan very soon, brand boss says
MODENA, Italy (Reuters) -Maserati plans to present a new business plan shortly, soon after parent company Stellantis' new CEO Antonio Filosa officially starts in his job later this month, the head of the struggling luxury carmaker said on Thursday. The loss-making Italian brand, the only one in the luxury segment for the world's fourth largest automaker, has no new model launches scheduled at the moment, with Stellantis reviewing Maserati's strategies after a previous business plan was put on hold last year. Maserati CEO Santo Ficili said the plan was being finalised and would not just include new products but also redesign relations with dealers and the assistance network. "We have clear ideas about what we want to do, we hope we can be ready very soon," Ficili said at the Motor Valley Fest in the Italian city of Modena, where Maserati is headquartered. "Let's wait for Antonio to take up his job," he added. Stellantis last week named its North American chief Filosa, an Italian national, as its new CEO. His appointment will be effective from June 23. "Antonio loves the (Maserati) brand, I am sure we'll do great things," Ficili said, adding Maserati will continue to design, engineer and manufacture all its models in Italy. Asked about market speculation that Stellantis could assess a sale of Maserati amid poor results and falling sales, Ficili reiterated the group had no plans at all to divest from it. Ficili, who is also the head of Stellantis premium brand Alfa Romeo, said a review of the Alfa plan was imminent too. The group has hired consultant McKinsey to advise on strategies for Maserati and Alfa Romeo as they face a hit from U.S. tariffs. Maserati makes around 30% of its sales in the U.S., while Alfa Romeo generates some 15%. Donald Trump Says He And Elon Musk 'Had A Great Relationship' But 'I Don't Know If We Will Anymore'
Donald Trump made his first comments about Elon Musk since his billionaire ally went on a tirade about the president's chief legislative effort, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. 'Elon and I have a great relationship,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday. 'I don't know if we will anymore. I was surprised, because you were here, everyone in this room practically was here as we had a wonderful sendoff. He said wonderful things about me.' Despite efforts by White House officials to point out where think Musk is wrong, he has not stopped his criticisms on X. The president appeared with Musk just last Friday, as the billionaire departed his official role as a special government employee. Musk led the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, which slashed federal agencies and fired hundreds of thousands of federal workers. Trump said that Musk 'knew the inner workings' of the bill, and 'never had a problem until right after he left.' 'I'm very disappointed in Elon,' Trump said. 'I think he misses the place,' he said. Just before Trump spoke to reporters, Musk posted one of Trump's past tweets from 2012, in which he wrote, 'No member of Congress should be eligible for re-election if our country's budget is not balanced—deficits not allowed!' 'I couldn't agree more!' Musk wrote. Musk's broadside against the legislation has threatened the fragile coalition of GOP lawmakers in the House, who passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act by one vote last month. The Senate is now taking up the legislation. Musk has called for a 'slim beautiful bill,' as the current legislation encompassed tax cuts, border security funding and defense all in one massive piece of legislation. Trump suggested that Musk's opposition was motivated by the fact that the legislation removes an electric vehicle mandate, which provided subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles. That is beneficial to Musk's Tesla. 'Elon knew this from the beginning,' Trump said, referring to his opposition to the subsidies. As cable networks carried Trump's remarks, Musk seemed to offer a response. 'Whatever. Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill. In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this! Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill. Slim and beautiful is the way.' The president also suggested that Musk was upset that Trump ended the nomination of Jared Isaacman, an ally of the billionaire, to serve as NASA administrator. Trump said that it was because Isaacman 'happened to be a Democrat,' something that he did not think was 'appropriate.'
