Sydney Sweeney sparks romance rumors with hunky mystery man on PDA-filled lakefront date after split
On Friday, the 27-year-old actress was spotted getting close with a handsome man and giving him extra attention as she frolicked on the lake in her swimsuit.
Amid a storm of backlash over her new jeans campaign, she returned to her family's lake house in northern Idaho to spend time with her friends and family.
During her trip, however, she was spotted venturing away from the rest of the group to spend quality time with a hunky, potential suitor.
The Euphoria alum — who reunited with her ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino a few months ago after quietly calling off their engagement earlier this year — seemed to be in high spirits, smiling and blushing as she got close with the mystery man.
While enjoying her break from her busy acting schedule, she showed off her toned figure in a black, one-piece swimsuit with a low-cut neckline to highlight her ample assets.
During her trip back home, she was spotted venturing away from the rest of the group to spend quality time with a hunky, potential suitor

Later, she put on a life jacket as she hit the waters with her rumored beau.
The pair were spotted on a jet ski together with the actress in the front and the mystery man holding her waist tightly in a manner that seemed more than just friendly and platonic.
At one point, they also wandered off into a faraway corner where there was a rope swing.
The handsome man appeared to be encouraging her as he smiled proudly at her as she jumped off the cliff and dived into the water.
Sweeney was spending time with a number of her friends and family from back home, but she seemed to give special attention to her rumored, new love interest.
Away from the crowd, the pair shared a special moment while having fun at the lakeside home she purchased for her mother, a property that had been in their family for generations before it was lost in foreclosure.
The mystery man, sporting just swim trunks and sneakers in addition to a life vest, was seen staring at her with a smile on his face multiple times during their time together.
She was previously engaged to fellow producer Jonathan Davino before they quietly separated in early 2025.
The pair had been together since 2018 and got engaged in 2022.
Sweeney and Davino were rumored to be preparing to tie the knot in the summer, just months after they called off their engagement.
Her romantic lakefront date with her mystery man comes shortly after she sparked dating rumors with a number of her co-stars when fans noticed their chemistry on and off the screen.
Most recently, she was getting close to Brandon Sklenar, her co-star in their upcoming thriller film The Housemaid, in the wake of her split with her ex-fiancé.
Previously, fans also speculated there was something romantic going on between her and her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell.
She was spotted getting flirty with her co-star, Brandon Sklenar, in a Instagram post following rumors between her and her former on-screen love interest Glen Powell back in March.
She shared a clip of herself with a playful smile on her face as Sklenar, 34, picked her up, flexing his strength, and hoisted her up onto one of his shoulders with ease.
The couple — who were first romantically linked in 2018 — have been engaged for three years and run a film production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, together.
In a carousel post, which she captioned 'as sweet as pie,' she also posted a photo of her and her co-star, an alum of It Ends With Us, having fun and playing games together on what appeared to be a date at the arcade.
In her photos, she was spotted without her engagement ring, sparking rumors of a split between her and her then-fiancé.
The pair, who were last spotted together in public in April, were supposed to tie the knot this May but their big day has been pushed back to an unknown date.
According to TMZ, their wedding has been postponed indefinitely 'because of the couple's busy schedule.'
Back in December 2023, Sweeney was asked about wedding planning and she explained that she was 'so busy working.'
'I'm a workaholic and I love it, I love it,' she told Entertainment Tonight.
During that time, Sweeney was rumored to be dating her Anyone But You co-star, Glen Powell, when the pair had multiple flirty interactions while promoting their rom-com.
That same year, Powell and his then-girlfriend Gigi Paris' relationship was rumored to be on the rocks, then the couple broke up in the spring of 2023.
Sweeney and Powell later admitted that they 'leaned into' the romance rumors to drum up hype for their romantic comedy.
On social media, fans speculated about her relationship status and discussed her admitted 'marketing strategy' of stirring up romance rumors.
In their upcoming psychological thriller The Housemaid — which premieres later this year on Christmas Day — they star alongside Amanda Seyfried, who Sweeney tagged in a Instax photo. In the upcoming psychological thriller, Sweeney stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Michele Morrone among many others.
The Paul Feig-directed movie, which is based on the Freida McFadden novel of the same name and was adapted by Rebecca Sonnenshine, follows Millie (Sweeney) as the struggling young woman is relieved to get a fresh start when she is hired to an upscale, wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar).
Per the synopsis, she soon learns that the family's secrets are far more dangerous than her own. The Housemaid is set to premiere in theaters later this year on Christmas Day.
