Andy Byron was caught on a jumbotron at a Coldplay concert embracing a woman reported to be his company's chief human resources officer.
Newsweek contacted Astronomer for comment via email on Friday outside regular working hours.
The Context
Coldplay concert footage showed the Astronomer CEO hugging Kristin Cabot, his company's chief people officer, from behind on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

When the pair realized they were on camera, they moved away from each other and ducked out of the camera's view.
Coldplay front man Chris Martin said: "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."
The footage of this scene went viral, with the original video amassing more than 45 million views on TikTok and other platforms.
What To Know
Cabot was previously married to an individual named Kenneth Thornby but divorced him in 2022, according to the New York Post, which cited Massachusetts records. Newsweek was unable to verify these details. The former couple shares at least one child.
Byron has been at the tech company since July 2023, while Cabot joined in November 2024, according to LinkedIn.
On this profile, she describes herself as "a passionate people leader known for building award-winning cultures from the ground up for fast-growing startups and multinational corporations. An influential leader and fearless change-agent, I lead by example and win trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants."
In a news release announcing her hiring, Byron praised Cabot for her "exceptional leadership and deep expertise" and her "passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces."
"I like to classify my role in the realm of People Strategy," she said in a January interview with HRTech Series. She added: "Magic happens when you align the people strategy to the business strategy and sync the two."
Previously, she studied at Gettysburg College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
She has worked at a range of companies including Razorfish & DigitasLBi, Razorfish Global and Neo4j.
What People Are Saying
Ry Walker, Astronomer's former CEO, wrote on X: "For those asking—I'm no longer involved in @astronomerio—yes I was co-founder and early CEO—not on the team or board since 2022, and have no information on ColdplayGate."
What Happens Next
It remains to be seen whether or not Byron or Cabot will comment publicly.

Watch: 'Weird Al' Yankovic leads star-studded Coldplay kiss cam spoof

File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo July 22 (UPI) -- "Weird Al" Yankovic and Lin-Manuel Miranda led a star-studded Coldplay kiss cam spoof on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday. The duo performed the Coldplay song "Viva la Vida," and then spotlighted several "couples" in the audience. The parody was a nod to the recent controversy surrounding Astronomer's former CEO Andy Byron, who was spotted with the company's HR head, Kristin Cabot, at a Coldplay concert last week. When the "kiss cam" zoomed in on Byron and Cabot, who are married to other people, Byron ducked and Cabot covered her face. "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," said the band's frontman Chris Martin. The moment has circulated widely online and inspired countless spoofs since. Byron subsequently resigned from Astronomer. As Yankovic and Miranda sang, the camera zoomed in on several "couples," portrayed by Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, and Adam Sandler and Christopher McDonald. Colbert said the song was an effort to cheer up his fans after the news that The Late Show, which has been on the air since 1993, has been canceled.

Elder Millennials Are 'Not OK' as Childhood TV Stars Reunite
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Millennials and Xennials (the youngest Gen Xers) are beside themselves as beloved TV sweethearts Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson reunite on screen for the first time in decades. The duo, who famously portrayed Pacey Witter and Joey Potter on the teen drama Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003, are teaming up once again—this time for an upcoming film trilogy titled Happy Hours. According to Deadline, the films will follow a group of college friends who gather over the years for their traditional weekly happy hour—a ritual that sees secrets surface and old flames reignite. As early images of the pair together in New York City hit the internet, fans have flooded social media with joyful reactions. Newsweek reached out to Katie Holmes' and Joshua Jackson's publicists for comment via email. NEW YORK, NY - JULY 21: Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are seen on the set of "Happy Hour" on July 21, 2025 in New York City. Jason Howard/Bauer-Griffin / Contributor/GC Images "Friends, I regret to inform you that I am unable to be normal about this," wrote Librariana (@librariana10). "My profile will exclusively be about me shipping Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson. Your girl loves a second chance romance." "I just heard Katie Holmes is writing/directing/starring in a new movie trilogy and Joshua Jackson is co-starring, and I will never be chill about this or anything else ever again. THE TIMELINE IS HEALING," posted Colette (@colettelikesstuff) on Threads. "Guys, I'm not sure you understand the chokehold Josh Jackson and Katie Holmes had on Xennials," wrote author Jennifer Lacopelli (@jennifercarolyn), garnering over 27,000 views. "They were not supposed to be The Ship of that show. Kevin Williamson even tried to write the opposite ship in the finale and COULDN'T DO IT, their chemistry was just too powerful." "My original enemies to friends to lovers obsession," added author Claribel Ortega. On X, a similar sentiment prevailed. One user, who goes by Val, wrote, "no guys, this katie holmes and joshua jackson reunion is something so huge for those who grew up watching dawson's creek. i'm crying, sometimes even millennials do win." Felicity tied it to another nostalgic event, writing, "NYC nostalgia era in the streets with Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes, and The Devil Wears Prada both filming. The elder millennials in your life are not okay." Dawson's Creek followed the emotional rollercoaster of a tight-knit group of high school friends in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts. Holmes' Joey Potter was initially positioned as a love interest for the show's lead, Dawson Leery—but fans quickly became enthralled by her slow-burn connection with Jackson's Pacey. Pacey and Joey's relationship was the epitome of the "enemies to friends to lovers" trope. Though they started off bickering and distant, sparks began to fly in later seasons. Their story reached a crescendo in the series finale when, despite creator Kevin Williamson's initial plans for a Dawson-and-Joey ending, the chemistry between Holmes and Jackson was so undeniable that the writers pivoted—cementing Pacey and Joey as the true endgame. More than 20 years after their TV romance captivated fans, the actors are set to rekindle their on-screen chemistry in Holmes' new project, which she will write, direct, and star in. Jackson has signed on as her co-star.
