In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, Ndongou underlined that since the accession of His Majesty the King to the Throne, Morocco has experienced development across the board and achieved remarkable achievements, pointing out that the Sovereign engaged an ambitious policy of structural reforms aiming to turn the Kingdom into a key regional, continental and international actor.
'Morocco's development under the leadership of HM the King is truly remarkable. We are proud of what Morocco has achieved in all areas,' he said, noting that this development is particularly evident in the economic, agricultural, energy, social, sports, and cultural sectors, as well as in infrastructure.
Morocco has modern rail, road, and port infrastructure that is among the best in Africa, explained Ndongou, highlighting the modernization of the rail network, particularly the high-speed line, the first of its kind in Africa.
For the Gabonese official, one of the main examples of the progress made by the Kingdom is the Tanger Med Port, which has become one of the best port infrastructures in the world.
'This logistics hub contributes greatly to the intensification of cooperation between African countries in the port sector,' he said.
Ndongou also praised the pioneering royal initiatives for the development of the African continent, notably the Royal Initiative to promote access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project, which he said demonstrates the Kingdom's firm commitment to stability, progress, and prosperity in Africa.

Under HM the King's Leadership, Morocco Stands out as Emerging Power in Africa
The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, stands out as an 'emerging power' in Africa, thanks to outstanding performance and forward-looking choices, African Development Bank (AfDB) President Akinwumi Adesina said. In a statement to MAP, Adesina emphasized that Morocco, which is undergoing a strong transformative momentum as highlighted in the speech delivered by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the Throne Day, stands out for the consistency and coherence of its economic and social progress. Morocco's strategic positioning, he said, is rooted in a clear and ambitious vision supported by an integrated development strategy, economic, social, and environmental, grounded in stable governance and carefully considered policy choices. This methodical and determined approach, he added, has enabled the Kingdom to emerge as one of the most advanced nations on the African continent. 'As part of its New Development Model, the Kingdom has strengthened its economic fundamentals,' Adesina said, pointing to genuine sectoral diversification, a well-managed openness to global markets, and firm integration into regional and global value chains as signs of Morocco's economic emergence. The country's industrial revival, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors, reflects this upward trajectory, bolstered by an ambitious infrastructure policy and solid macroeconomic environment, which enhance Morocco's appeal to international investors, he noted. 'Driven by the major development projects launched by His Majesty the King, our relations with the Kingdom continue to grow stronger, in order to support and accompany these multi-faceted advances for the benefit of the country and the Moroccan people,' Adesina concluded.
