Sky: Man Utd leading the race £70 'top talent' – INEOS must offload attacking trio
Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo who has been in brilliant form this season.
The Red Devils will clash heads with the Cherries next week at the Vitality Stadium, but the 25-year-old had already inflicted damage on Ruben Amorim's men when the two sides met in December, as he got on the scoresheet in the 3-0 routing win at Old Trafford.

According to Sky Sports, every Traditional top-six Premier League club has already enquired about the Ghanaian star, but Man Utd are the ones leading the race.
However, securing the services of the London native won't be easy, as Bournemouth have slapped a price tag of £70 million on their prized asset.
Nevertheless, the Premier League side could be willing to negotiate a lower fixed fee in addition to bonuses, similar to the deal that saw Dominic Solanke join Spurs last summer, but that would still require quite an investment.
Therefore, Man Utd would have to raise funds, mainly by selling three attackers who have already left the club, but remain on their books. The men in question are Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Sancho started his loan stint at Chelsea in exciting fashion, but his displays dipped in the middle of the campaign. The Blues have an obligation to buy him for £25 million, but they can also cancel the transfer by paying a penalty of £5 million.

As for Antony, he managed to revitalise his career by delivering impressive displays from the get-go after joining Real Betis on loan. The ambitious Andalusians would like to keep the Brazilian winger beyond the current campaign, but it remains to be seen if they'll have the financial means to pull it off.
Finally, Rashford's exile under Amorim came to a merciful end when he joined Aston Villa in January. The Villains have the option to buy him for £40 million, but they have yet to make a definitive decision on the matter.
If United can finalise the sales of at least two of the three aforementioned players, they might have enough in the bank to sign Semenyo.
The Bristol City academy product has been sharpening his tools at Bournemouth since January 2023. His current contract is valid until June 2029.
Semenyo is a right-footed winger capable of playing on either flank. He naturally prefers taking the left wing where he can cut to the middle and aim for goal.

Transfer news: Cherki to Manchester City, Maignan to Chelsea

The transfer news just keeps on coming with plenty of Premier League clubs trying to get their business done as early as possible this summer. MORE — Premier League ins and outs at all 20 clubs this summer Advertisement Here's a look at some of the latest transfer news involving Premier League clubs. Rayan Cherki opts for Manchester City It appears that Manchester City continue to crack on with their big summer rebuild, as they've reportedly struck a deal with Lyon for Rayan Cherki to join them. Per several reports, including this one from L'Equipe in France, a transfer fee has been agreed for Cherki and he has agreed a five-year contract with City. It is believed City will pay Lyon around $45 million for the French playmaker. Cherki is a boyhood Lyon fan but only had one year left on his current contract and the French giants are in a bit of a financial mess, so this deal could help them out ahead of a key hearing this summer. On the pitch Cherki has been so impressive in recent seasons as he's helped them regain their footing and challenge for a Champions League spot in Ligue 1, reach the French Cup final and make waves in the Europa League. Cherki, 21, can play anywhere across the attacking third of the pitch and with Kevin de Bruyne leaving and Jack Grealish expected to move on this summer too, City need to reinforce that area of the pitch. Picking up Cherki for this kind of money is incredible business and with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders also set to join him at City, Pep Guardiola's side aren't messing around. Per the reports, Cherki's move will be completed in time for him to play at the Club World Cup for City. Chelsea pushing hard to sign Maignan Everybody knows that Chelsea need to strengthen their goalkeeping position and they are pushing hard to sign AC Milan and France goalkeeper Mike Maignan in the coming days. Per a report from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have bid $17 million for Maignan and want an answer before the transfer window for the Club World Cup shuts on June 10. A report from L'Equipe in France states that Maignan has told AC Milan he will not be renewing his deal which runs out next summer and he wants to move to west London. Maignan, 29, is a fine goalkeeper and is exactly the kind of player Chelsea should be going after to upgrade their options in net. Robert Sanchez has been okay but has made some costly errors and if Chelsea want to take the next step and challenge for the Premier League title and go deep in the Champions League, they have to upgrade their goalkeeper and add another key center back. Maignan is solid and a great shot stopper and this would be a fantastic and sensible transfer for both Chelsea and Maignan.

Spurs close to appointing Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur are close to replacing Europa League winning manager Ange Postecoglou with the hiring of Thomas Frank. Postecoglou's victory in Europe wasn't enough to save him from the sack after two seasons in North London. Advertisement Spurs are now moving to hire Danish manager Thomas Frank from Brentford with Telegraph Sport currently reporting that a £10 million fee will need to be paid in order to release Frank from his contract. Former Brøndby manager Frank joined Brentford in 2016 initially as an assistant before taking the top job in 2018. Since then Frank has helped the Bees get promoted and established as a Premier League team. Brentford finished 10th in the Premier League in the 2024/25 season, 18 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tributes to 'proud Sheffielder' and referee Rennie

Trailblazing former Premier League referee Uriah Rennie has been described as a "proud Sheffielder" who will be sadly missed in his adopted hometown. Rennie was the top flight's first black referee and took charge of more than 300 matches between between 1997 and 2008. Outside of football he worked as a magistrate and, last month, took up the role of chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University. Rennie's partner, Jayne, and his older brother, Glenroy, said he would be "so very sadly missed", following his death aged 65. In a statement, they said: "Our family have appreciated all the support from the nursing teams from Northern General and Weston Park Hospitals, plus close family and friends during the past few weeks at such a difficult time." His family said he had been "privately battling a recent cancer diagnosis" prior to his death. Born in Jamaica, Rennie moved to Sheffield as a child. In April he revealed he was learning to walk again after a rare condition left him paralysed from the waist down. Former sports minister Richard Caborn said Sheffield had "lost one of its favourite sons". Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Caborn, a former MP for Sheffield Central, said: "He was born in Jamaica but he was adopted by this city and adopted by the great sport of football. "I was with him a couple of weeks ago at Weston Park Hospital and he was really on great form, so last night when I received the news it was really, really sad news because we thought he was on the mend." Caborn said he had been "really, really proud" to have been appointed the new chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University. The university's vice chancellor, Liz Mossop, said Rennie had been a "trailblazer for inclusion in sport", as well as a "man of great integrity with a fierce commitment to equity and inclusion". She added: "On behalf of the entire University community I want to express our shock and sadness at the news of Uri's death. "Uri had only just begun his role as the University's Chancellor, but even in this short time he had already made a profound impact, challenging us to be bolder in our ambitions and how we should truly live our values. We were greatly looking forward to working with him." "Uri was a proud Sheffielder and family man, deeply committed to the city and to helping people from resilient communities to achieve their potential." South Yorkshire mayor Oliver Coppard offered his condolences to Rennie's family and "many, many friends". "He broke down barriers and lifted others up," Coppard said. "As well as his work in football, he campaigned to promote inclusion in sport and worked as a magistrate in Sheffield. May his memory be a blessing."
