Sky: Man Utd leading the race £70 'top talent' – INEOS must offload attacking trio
Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo who has been in brilliant form this season.
The Red Devils will clash heads with the Cherries next week at the Vitality Stadium, but the 25-year-old had already inflicted damage on Ruben Amorim's men when the two sides met in December, as he got on the scoresheet in the 3-0 routing win at Old Trafford.

According to Sky Sports, every Traditional top-six Premier League club has already enquired about the Ghanaian star, but Man Utd are the ones leading the race.
However, securing the services of the London native won't be easy, as Bournemouth have slapped a price tag of £70 million on their prized asset.
Nevertheless, the Premier League side could be willing to negotiate a lower fixed fee in addition to bonuses, similar to the deal that saw Dominic Solanke join Spurs last summer, but that would still require quite an investment.
Therefore, Man Utd would have to raise funds, mainly by selling three attackers who have already left the club, but remain on their books. The men in question are Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Sancho started his loan stint at Chelsea in exciting fashion, but his displays dipped in the middle of the campaign. The Blues have an obligation to buy him for £25 million, but they can also cancel the transfer by paying a penalty of £5 million.

As for Antony, he managed to revitalise his career by delivering impressive displays from the get-go after joining Real Betis on loan. The ambitious Andalusians would like to keep the Brazilian winger beyond the current campaign, but it remains to be seen if they'll have the financial means to pull it off.
Finally, Rashford's exile under Amorim came to a merciful end when he joined Aston Villa in January. The Villains have the option to buy him for £40 million, but they have yet to make a definitive decision on the matter.
If United can finalise the sales of at least two of the three aforementioned players, they might have enough in the bank to sign Semenyo.
The Bristol City academy product has been sharpening his tools at Bournemouth since January 2023. His current contract is valid until June 2029.
Semenyo is a right-footed winger capable of playing on either flank. He naturally prefers taking the left wing where he can cut to the middle and aim for goal.

'Negative experience' - Juric breaks silence on 107-day Saints reign
IVAN Juric admitted his ill-fated reign as Saints boss was "a negative experience" but insisted it was "very positive" for his growth as a manager. New Atalanta boss Juric departed Saints in April following official confirmation of their relegation to the Championship, having lost 12 of his 14 Premier League games. Advertisement The Croatian's only league victory came at fellow relegated side Ipswich Town, and his south coast departure came six months after he was sacked by Roma. Juric has now replaced Gian Piero Gasperini at Atalanta, after his mentor joined Roma, and has opened up on his difficult season in Italy and England. Speaking in his first press conference, Juric said: "(It was) a negative year on a sporting level. Human and knowledge level, it was fantastic. "I think I feel much stronger than a year ago, because (at) Roma I saw great clubs, great players. I learned a lot. In Southampton, I appreciated a fabulous Premier League. Advertisement "People who are in the club, who know how to work. I saw really beautiful things. In the Premier League, I also remember the level of the players, (it's) very high. "I think two negative experiences on the one hand, and on the other, (it was) very positive for me and my growth." Juric lasted just 107 days in charge of Southampton and departed 24 hours after their 3-1 defeat to Spurs, which confirmed the club's relegation to the Championship. He has been replaced by Belgian-born English coach Will Still, who has signed a three-year deal and is targeting an instant return to the Premier League. Advertisement Juric has penned a two-year contract at Champions League-qualified Atalanta and is set to coach in UEFA's top club competition for the first time in his career. The Split-born manager did take charge of four Europa League fixtures during his two-month spell in charge of Roma, winning just once and losing twice. Fellow former Saints boss Russell Martin, whom Juric replaced, will also be competing in the 2025/26 Champions League after taking over at Rangers. The Ibrox club will enter the Champions League in the second round of qualifying, while Atalanta have qualified directly by finishing third in Serie A.

Newcastle links re-emerge after James Trafford's impressive campaign
James Trafford has again been linked with Newcastle United following an impressive campaign in the Championship. Trafford played a key role as the Clarets secured an immediate return to the Premier League under Scott Parker, only conceding 16 goals in the league all season. Advertisement The goalkeeper was linked with the Magpies last summer but remained at Turf Moor, keeping a remarkable 29 clean sheets. He is currently on international duty with England and was an unused substitute against Andorra over the weekend. Thomas Tuchel's side are back in action tonight against Senegal. Sky Sports claim that Newcastle are 'in talks' over a potential deal for Trafford to provide competition with Nick Pope, who departed East Lancashire in the summer of 2022. Trafford recently spoke about his situation last summer and admitted he had been "close" to a move. 'In the summer I think people knew I wanted to move,' he told Fozcast. 'The club that I was close to going, it was a good fit for me. It was brilliant for me and I really believed in it. Advertisement 'I wanted to move, not just because I didn't want to play in the Championship, I had no shame playing in the Championship. 'I have no ego to think I'm better than the Championship. You only prove something by performing and showing people. 'It was just when an opportunity and a situation you think suits you can happen, you should take it and try to go for it, so I wanted to move. It was close but it didn't end up happening. 'The manager was brilliant throughout pre-season. I wasn't the best, I was moody because I'm young and I wanted to move, but in the moment I still worked extremely hard. 'I knew the longer it went on, the reality became I would be playing the first game of the season and I wanted to play. 'I told the manager I'm available if he wanted to select me. If not, I'll sit on the bench but I'm available. He played me in the first game and that was it.'

From 'finish with Jurgen' to Man City and Guardiola
Pepijn Lijnders once called Jurgen Klopp his "proper football brother," but now he has joined one of his biggest rivals in Pep Guardiola. Manchester City have confirmed Lijnders will become a part of Guardiola's coaching staff, along with former Liverpool opposition analyst James French. Advertisement The 42-year-old was Klopp's assistant when Liverpool won the Premier League and Champions League, standing down from the role when the German left the club in 2024. Speaking last year, Lijnders told the Liverpool club website: "I always said I will finish with Jurgen; the moment I will not assist anyone else, that's the moment I will go and I will manage. That was always the case. "I owe this club everything. They don't owe me anything, to be honest. It's 10 years full of dedication. So when we [me and Jurgen] spoke, it was clear for me, I go and manage, and we end this project together," he added. Lijnders has had two spells as a manager - briefly leaving Liverpool in 2018 to manage NEC in the Netherlands, before a spell with Red Bull Salzburg at the beginning of last season, with both culminating in his dismissal. Without a club since December, the Dutchman has taken the step back from being a manager and once again will be an assistant.
