What started as a rumor is now a dream come true.
Brandy and Monica have formally announced their co-headlining tour, kicking off this fall.
The women appeared on CBS Mornings on Tuesday (June 24) to unveil the tour visualizer and dates. The Boy Is Mine Tour is a 24-city arena tour, produced by Black Promoters Collective, that begins on October 16 and concludes on Dec. 7. As previously mentioned, they will be joined by Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and American Idol winner Jamal Roberts.
'This really is a full-circle moment. Monica and I coming together again isn't just about the music— it's about honoring where we came from and how far we've both come,' Brandy said in a statement. ''The Boy Is Mine' was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion—it's a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.'
Monica added, 'The love that 'The Boy Is Mine' continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We're giving the people what they've been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God's timing perfectly aligned us.'
Shelby Joyner, President of Black Promoters Collective, shared, 'Bringing Brandy and Monica together for this tour is more than just a moment — it's a cultural homecoming. Their impact on R&B is immeasurable, and 'The Boy Is Mine' continues to be one of the most iconic collaborations of all time. At BPC, we're committed to celebrating culture and legacy, and this tour is a powerful example of both.'
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. local time. Presale tickets will be available on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time using the code BPC.

‘American Idol' Champ Jamal Roberts Debuts at No. 1 on Hot Gospel Songs Chart With ‘Heal'

Newly crowned American Idol winner Jamal Roberts, a 27-year-old gym teacher from Meridian, Miss., debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart (dated May 31) with 'Heal.' He capped off his championship run on the ABC competition May 18 with a stirring rendition of the faith-based track, which was written by Tom Odell, who released his version in 2013. Released May 18, Roberts' 'Heal' sold 9,000 downloads in the United States in the week ending May 22, according to Luminate. It tops Gospel Digital Song Sales, marking his initial No. 1; he previously hit No. 4 with 'He's Preparing Me' earlier in May. On the all-genre Digital Songs survey, 'Heal' opens at No. 2, granting Roberts his first top 10 in his rookie appearance. The spiritual power ballad also drew 918,000 official U.S. streams in the tracking week. They finished in third and second place, respectively, in the series' latest season. Notably, the three acts' haul outpaces that of American Idol contestants from a year ago, when champion Abi Carter was the sole competitor to appear on the Digital Song Sales chart (dated June 1, 2024) following the finale, with 'This Isn't Over' (No. 23; 2,000 sold). Pastor Mike Jr. adds his record-extending seventh straight career-opening leader on Gospel Airplay as 'Amen' lifts 2-1. He co-authored the song with Adia Andrews, David Lamar Outing II and Terrell Anthony Pettus. Pastor Mike Jr., from Birmingham, Ala., last led Gospel Airplay with 'Windows' for a week in June 2024. Before that, he reigned as featured on Kierra Sheard's 'Miracles,' for a week in July 2023, and with his own 'Impossible,' featuring James Fortune (two weeks, April 2023); 'Amazing' (two weeks, May 2022); 'I Got It' (four weeks, beginning in March 2021); and 'Big Rock City' (10 weeks, beginning in February 2020). In addition to owning the career-opening record run, Pastor Mike Jr. boasts the longest streak of Gospel Airplay No. 1s overall. Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Tamela Mann follow with active streaks of six consecutive chart-toppers. (Cobbs Leonard ranks at No. 7 on the latest list with 'Do It Anyway,' a week after it reached No. 6.) Brandy & Monica Announce ‘The Boy Is Mine' Co-Headlining Tour With Kelly Rowland, Muni Long & Jamal Roberts: All the Dates

Actually, the boy is theirs. Nearly 30 years after they topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks with their timeless duet 'The Boy Is Mine,' Brandy and Monica are teaming up for their first-ever co-headlining tour. As announced Tuesday (June 24), Brandy and Monica will launch their co-headlining The Boy Is Mine Tour on Oct. 16 at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati. The 24-city trek will visit arenas in major U.S. cities including Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York before concluding Dec. 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Long dropped her fourth studio album, Revenge, last summer (Aug. 30, 2024), and Roberts recently notched a No. 1 debut on Hot Gospel Songs just weeks before tributing Kirk Franklin at the 2025 BET Awards. Earlier this month, Rowland was announced as The Voice UK's newest coach. 'This really is a full-circle moment,' Brandy, who landed at No. 41 on the Billboard staff's 75 Best R&B Singers of All Time list, said in a press release. 'Monica and I coming together again isn't just about the music — it's about honoring where we came from and how far we've both come. 'The Boy Is Mine' was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion — it's a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.' The R&B icons, who reunited on 2012's 'It All Belongs to Me,' announced their new tour with a cinematic short film helmed by filmmaker and production designer Ethan Tobman, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Set in a maximum sound asylum, the tour trailer finds Brandy and Monica using their powerful and 'forbidden' harmonies to break free. 'The love that 'The Boy Is Mine' continues to receive means everything to me,' Monica said in a press release. 'This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We're giving the people what they've been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God's timing perfectly aligned us.' Last year, Brandy and Monica earned their 13th and fifth Grammy nominations, respectively, thanks to their featured turn on Grande's 'The Boy Is Mine' remix. Named after their duet, Grande's Eternal Sunshine single reached No. 16 on the Hot 100 and soundtracked a Catwoman-inspired music video featuring cameos from all three ladies, as well as You actor Penn Badgley. Brandy and Monica Reveal ‘The Boy Is Mine' Was Inspired by ‘Jerry Springer'

Brandy and Monica's reunion rollout is in full swing. The R&B legends stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (June 25), just one day after announcing their upcoming co-headlining trek, The Boy Is Mine Tour. 'Twenty-seven years in the making,' Brandy said, describing the long-awaited joint tour. The 24-date run, named after their 1998 No. 1 hit 'The Boy Is Mine,' kicks off Oct. 16 and marks their first time hitting the road together. More from Billboard AC/DC Plug In Extra Stadium Dates for Australia's Power-Hungry Fans LeAnn Rimes' Teeth Fall Out Mid-Performance During Washington Concert White House Uses Usher's 'Hey Daddy' to Soundtrack Trump's NATO Return During their sit-down with Fallon, Brandy also revealed that the idea for their chart-topping duet was sparked by an episode of Jerry Springer. 'I was a huge Jerry Springer fan. One of the topics was 'The boy is mine,' and I'm like, 'Oh my God. Song idea. Let's do this,'' she recalled. The singers also reflected on their initial collaboration, Grammy win, and how their friendship has evolved in the decades since. 'We're a musical marriage, it is a musical marriage,' Monica said with a laugh. Their conversation touched on a range of moments from their careers, including their 1999 Grammy win for best R&B performance by a duo or group. 'I actually ran to the stage,' Brandy said, while Monica recalled following slowly behind in Chanel heels. 'She left me,' Monica joked. 'I was tiptoeing behind her like, 'Girl, we just won a Grammy!'' Fallon also brought up Ariana Grande's recent remix of 'The Boy Is Mine,' which both singers praised for its respect toward the original. 'I think it was how personable that she was that made us feel so comfortable. We've always been very adamant about people leaving history as it is,' Monica said. 'But the integrity is still there.' When asked if fans can expect new music, the pair confirmed they're aiming to head into the studio soon. 'We'll start working on some music immediately,' Monica said, adding that the new material could be promoted while they're still on tour. 'But no studio tour bus,' she clarified with a grin. 'That's for the rappers.' The tease comes over a decade after their last joint release, 2012's 'It All Belongs to Me,' and nearly three decades after 'The Boy Is Mine' spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track remains one of the most iconic duets in pop and R&B history. The two also paid tribute to their late mentor Whitney Houston, whom they say would've been thrilled about their reunion. 'She'd be sarcastic, like, 'Finally,'' Monica laughed as Brandy added, 'But proud!' The Boy Is Mine Tour kicks off in Oakland, California, and will hit cities including New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale Friday (June 28) via Ticketmaster.
