George Murphy, assistant to his father, said: 'It was a great run and we couldn't be happier with him.
'He had a long time off the track and you'd be hoping he'll improve for the run. He's been in super form all spring, of course you're a bit nervous when they've been off that long but he showed himself very well and we're delighted with him.
'He seems to have come out of it well and we're looking forward to getting him out again.'

Aidan O'Brien nominated the Tattersalls Gold Cup and the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot as likely targets for Los Angeles in the aftermath of his recent success and there appears to be every chance White Birch will take him on in both races.
'He's in the Coronation Cup at Epsom, but I'd imagine we'll go for the Tattersalls Gold Cup and go to Ascot after that – that would be the way it's looking at the moment,' Murphy added.
'He (Los Angeles) is a very good horse and I'm sure he'll be tough to beat again, but we'll look forward to it.'

August 3 - The Los Angeles Dodgers received a boost with the return of starting pitcher Blake Snell on Saturday, but the team is still looking for answers for its struggles at the plate. Los Angeles will continue that search when the Dodgers face the host Tampa Bay Rays in the rubber match of a three-game series on Sunday. The Dodgers were held to six singles and shut out for the sixth time this season in a 4-0 loss on Saturday. Snell pitched five strong innings, but the Dodgers struck out 11 times and weren't able to put a runner on second base until the sixth inning. "We've got to find a way to put the ball in play, force something to happen," Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts said. "If you look at the strikeout rate, the last few weeks, it's certainly up there. We've got to find a way to reset. Just overall take better at-bats and have a two-strike approach." Tampa Bay snapped its four-game losing streak behind first baseman Yandy Diaz, who had two homers among his three hits and three RBIs. Diaz recorded his 900th career hit in the win. "It's something big," Diaz said through a translator. "After all the sacrifice and the work that I have put in, I'm glad that things are going well for me now." The Rays are adjusting without All-Star first baseman Jonathan Aranda, who will miss at least the next three weeks. Aranda landed on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist fracture suffered during Thursday's game against the New York Yankees. Tampa Bay has also played the last two games without center fielder Chandler Simpson, who is listed as day-to-day with a left index finger sprain. Luka Dončić signs $165m max extension to stay with LA Lakers through 2028
Luka Dončić is staying in Los Angeles. The five-time All-NBA guard has agreed to a three-year, $165m maximum contract extension with the Lakers, ESPN reported Saturday. The deal includes a player option for the 2028–29 season and replaces his prior contract, which featured a player option for 2026–27. Dončić, 26, now avoids free agency next summer and positions himself for an even larger deal in 2028, when he would be eligible for a projected five-year, $417m contract worth 35% of the salary cap. 'This is just the beginning,' Dončić said in a team statement. 'I'm excited for what's ahead and to keep building something special with this team.' The Lakers acquired Dončić in a February blockbuster that sent Anthony Davis to Dallas, one of the most seismic trades in recent NBA history. Kings re-sign F Alex Laferriere to 3-year, $12.3M extension
August 3 - The Los Angeles Kings signed forward Alex Laferriere to a three-year, $12.3 million contract extension through the 2027-28 season, the team announced on Saturday. The new deal has an average annual value of $4.1 million. Laferriere, 23, played his second NHL season in 2024-25 and set career highs in a number of statistical categories, including 19 goals, 23 assists and 42 points. He also posted career-bests with a plus-22 rating, four game-winning goals, 193 shots, 43 blocks, 124 hits and 16:32 average ice time in 77 regular-season games. Laferriere recorded three assists in six playoff games this past season. For his career, Laferriere has 65 points (31 goals, 34 assists), a plus-8, 66 penalty minutes, 340 shots, 70 blocks and 237 hits in 158 regular-season games.
