The Canadian brand will now be available at Amazon Canada and in select Costco warehouses nationwide, with plans to enter Walmart brick-and-mortar stores later this year.
As of this month, Canadian shoppers can purchase Grace & Stella's cruelty-free, vegan formulations on amazon.ca, while specially curated product bundles will roll out in select Costco stores, offering customers value-packed options for gifting or stocking up on self-care essentials. The Walmart rollout is expected to begin later this year, with further details to be announced.
"We've always believed in the power of small rituals that spark joy," said Grace & Stella's creative director, Erin Mawhinney.
"Expanding into Amazon and Costco—and soon, Walmart—makes it even easier for Canadians to experience those little feel-good moments wherever they are.'
Grace & Stella has built a loyal global following thanks to its "feel-good moments" and cult-favourite products like the iconic under-eye masks and hydrating sprays. The latest expansion deepens its commitment to the Canadian market, at a time when consumer demand for wellness and beauty products is at an all-time high.

Simons to open new flagship store in Toronto

Canadian retailer Simons is set to open its first flagship store in Toronto at Yorkdale Shopping Centre on August 14. The Yorkdale location will be the first of two new urban Toronto stores opening this year and will span more than 118,000 square feet across two levels. Designed in collaboration with Lemay-Michaud Architecture and Toronto-based Gensler Design, the store will reflect Simons' uniquely Canadian aesthetic, which draws inspiration from natural elements. It will house labels exclusive to Simons, international designers, as well as local brands and artists to be revealed at the opening. "At Simons, serving our customers is our greatest privilege," said Bernard Leblanc, president and CEO of Simons. "On August 14, we're proud to open our doors at Yorkdale Shopping Centre and invite Torontonians to discover the distinctive blend of fashion, art, and design that defines Simons. Our history and success have always been rooted in exceptional service — a commitment to our customers, our employees, and our partners — and we can't wait to share it with Toronto firsthand.' The Yorkdale store will become Simons' 18th location in Canada, adding to a growing national footprint that includes ten stores in Quebec, three in Alberta, and one each in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Ontario.

Arc'teryx opens new Vancouver flagship store

Arc'teryx opened its new flagship store in downtown Vancouver on Saturday, marking the latest retail expansion for the Canadian performance-driven outdoor brand. Located at 1001 Robson Street, the 6,430-square-foot space will replace the brand's previous flagship at 813 Burrard Street. The new location nearly doubles the size of Arc'teryx's original 3,200-square-foot downtown store, which opened in 2017. The expansion reflects the company's continued investment in its hometown market and its growing retail presence in urban centres. The flagship will house Arc'teryx's technical apparel and gear, offering an elevated brand experience in one of Canada's busiest shopping districts. Headquartered in North Vancouver and owned by the Amer Sports group, Arc'teryx now operates five stores across the Metro Vancouver area. Earlier this month, it opened its first brand store in Manchester, becoming its fourth in the UK.

Canadian wine benefits from trade war with the US

Even as smoke from wildfires in western Canada obscured the outlines of his vineyards, nothing dampened the optimism of Charles-Henri de Coussergues, a winemaker originally from Avignon, France. He has been established in Canada for nearly half a century. "It's really been a wonderful year so far," he said, gazing out over his estate in Dunham, southern Quebec, just 15 kilometers from the US border. Since March, his sales have surged, with increases ranging from 5% to 35% depending on the bottle. This upswing has been one of the side effects of the trade war waged by US President Donald Trump, who has imposed a series of tariffs on Canada. On March 4, in retaliation for a 25% US tax on Canadian products imported to the United States, most Canadian wine and spirits stores – including those of the government-owned corporation Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) – pulled American bottles. The empty shelves were partially restocked with Canadian products. Since then, from east to west, Canadian wines have ridden a wave of patriotic buying that shows no sign of slowing. The Conseil des vins du Québec estimated that sales of Quebec wines at the SAQ went up by 63% between March 1 and May 20. Producers in neighboring Ontario also saw sales jump by nearly 40% compared to 2024. And in the West, home to some of the country's most renowned wines, including whites from the Okanagan Valley, Jeff Guignard, CEO of the association Wine Growers British Columbia, has observed a similar trend: "Sales are increasing, and since our harvests were not abundant in 2024, particularly due to forest fires and frost, our stocks are not unlimited... But demand is strong! We are happy about that!"
