‘Poker Face' Season 2 Drops Celeb and Suspect-Packed Teaser Ahead of May Premiere

The rest of the 30-second clip is filled with gunfire, explosions, zingers and big-name cameos. The video also shows appearances from John Mulaney, Katie Holmes, Giancarlo Esposito, Awkwafina, Cliff 'Method Man' Smith, Justin Theroux, Taylor Schilling, Kumail Nanjiani and Melanie Lynskey. The Peacock original takes its cues from 'Columbo' and other TV classics. The mystery-of-the-week series follows Lyonne's Charlie, who always knowing when someone else is lying, who must often use her skill since crime seems to follow her. As she hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda, she will encounter a new cast of characters and crimes in Season 2.
'To bring Season 2 to life, we pulled visual inspiration from American '70s cinema, all the stuff we love like Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, Peter Bogdanovich. But the backbone of this show is TV — the kind of TV we grew up watching, episodic case-of-the-week gems like 'Columbo' and 'The Rockford Files' and 'Quantum Leap,'' Johnson and Lyonne said in a joint statement. 'Each episode is a mini movie, existing in its own world with a unique tone and vibe, featuring an eccentric lot of characters played by a truly gonzo parade of guest stars.'
In addition to the aforementioned guest stars, Season 2 will star Adrienne C. Moore, Alia Shawkat, Ben Marshall, B.J. Novak, Carol Kane, Corey Hawkins, David Alan Grier, David Krumholtz, Davionte 'GaTa' Ganter, Ego Nwodim, Gaby Hoffmann, Geraldine Viswanathan, Haley Joel Osment, Jason Ritter, John Cho, Kathrine Narducci, Kevin Corrigan, Lauren Tom, Lili Taylor, Margo Martindale, Natasha Leggero, Patti Harrison, Rhea Perlman, Richard Kind, Sam Richardson, Sherry Cola, Simon Helberg and Simon Rex. There will be 12 hourlong episodes in this new season.
'Poker Face' is created, written, directed and executive produced by Johnson with Tony Tost serving as the series' showrunner and EP. Lyonne also directs, writes and EPs, in addition to starring. Other EPs include Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, Nora Zuckerman and Lilla Zuckerman. 'Poker Face' is produced by T-Street and Animal Pictures and comes from T-Street and MRC.

John Cena's final match confirmed for Saturday Night's Main Event in December
We now know when the time is up. John Cena will have his final WWE match at Saturday Night's Main Event on Dec. 13, NBC Sports announced on Wednesday, Aug. 20. It was not announced where Cena's final match will take place, but it is expected to take place in or around Boston, which is in the same state as his hometown of West Newbury, Massachusetts. His opponent is also yet to be determined. The news of Cena's final match came the same day as a major reshuffling happened in WWE events. The wrestling company announced its premium live events will begin airing on ESPN platforms in September, starting with Wrestlepalooza on Sept. 20. The partnership begins three months earlier than the initial start of 2026. WWE's premier live events have aired on Peacock and its final one will be Clash in Paris on Aug. 31. However, WWE and Peacock announced a multi-year deal where Saturday Night's Main Event will move from NBC to Peacock. With the move to the streaming service, it would allow the show to possibly limit the number of commercials during the broadcast, as well as not being limited to a hard end time, an issue that resulted in Goldberg's farewell speech being cut off. John Cena farewell tour: How many appearances does he have left? Cena is currently nearing the end of his WWE career as 2025 will be his final year in the ring. Before the year began, the future WWE Hall of Famer said he would make 36 appearances during the farewell tour. As of Aug. 20, he has made 25, so 11 remain in the final three-plus months of the record 17-time champion's career. Of those 11 appearances, nine are confirmed. Judge Frank Caprio, who is known for his heartwarming viral court moments, has died. He was 88. According to a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the former Providence, Rhode Island, judge "passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer." "Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond," the statement continued. "His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him." The statement went on and said that he "will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His legacy lives on in the countless acts of kindness he inspired. In his honor, may we strive to bring a little more compassion into the world -- just as he did every day." Many may know Caprio from his TV show, "Caught in Providence," in which clips from the series have gone viral on social media. Caprio became known as the "nicest judge in the world" for his compassion in the courtroom and the leniency he provided to those who needed it most. The show aired in 2000 and earned four Daytime Emmy nominations. "Compassion, understanding and sympathy really emanates from my upbringing, my early childhood," Caprio told"GMA3" in February while he was promoting his book, "Compassion in the Court: Life-Changing Stories From America's Nicest Judge." "My parents were from Italy and they took care of all the neighbors and helped them, and it was those influences that really influenced my life." "Sometimes you can change somebody's life just by placing your hand on your shoulder and telling them you believe in them," Caprio told NBC Boston in 2024. Born on Nov. 23, 1936, Caprio grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, where he would go on to serve as a municipal court judge nearly 50 years later, according to his website. Prior to law, he taught American government at Hope High School in Providence. While teaching, he also attended night school at Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. He served as a Providence Municipal Court Judge from 1985 to 2023. In December 2023, shortly after his 87th birthday, Caprio shared an emotional video on social media revealing his cancer diagnosis. "I would ask each of you in your own way to please pray for me," he began in the video at the time. "Quite recently, I was not feeling well and received a medical examination and the report was not a good one." "I have been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, which is an insidious form of cancer," he continued. Caprio said that he was being treated for the disease. "I know this is a long road and I'm fully prepared to fight as hard as I can," he added and thanked his followers for their kind messages. "I am in need for the power of prayer which I believe in addition to medical treatment that I'm receiving, is the most powerful weapon to help me survive this. Just knowing that you were keeping me in your thoughts means the world to me." In May 2024, Caprio completed his last radiation treatment, sharing on social media that he rang the bell at Baptist Health Cancer Care to mark the occasion. In one of his last videos on his official Instagram page, which was shared on Tuesday, Caprio said he had a "setback" and was back in the hospital.
