Boat journey, seminar to chart Kadamakkudy's tourism future
The initiative will be launched during the upcoming Kadamakkudy: Heaven of Valley tourism meet, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
K N Unnikrishnan, MLA, announced on Saturday that a development seminar will be held at Nihara Resort, Kothad, on Wednesday as the first step toward creating a comprehensive tourism map for Kadamakkudy. Eminent personalities from the region will share insights on tourism prospects and their suggestions will be incorporated into the final plan for the island areas.
As part of the programme, a seminar and guided site visits will be organized to gather expert opinions.
Industries, law and coir minister P Rajeeve will inaugurate the seminar at Bolgatty Ro-Ro Jetty, followed by a boat journey through Kadamakkudy's waterways.
The trip will highlight the region's natural charm— lush landscapes, shrimp and fish farms and sightings of migratory birds — offering participants a first-hand experience of its beauty.
Representatives of local bodies and tourism officials will join the journey, aiming to position Kadamakkudy as a unique destination for eco-friendly and culture-rich tourism in Kerala.
