Brit boxing star Moses Itauma left feeling ‘uncomfortable' after fan jokingly blackmails him on train
The 20-year-old Kent boxing prodigy was doing a three-hour commute to train at Ben Davison's Harlow gym and constantly getting stuck in traffic.

In the early days of his 12-fight pro career, when the infuriating gridlock struck, he would ditch the roads and hit the track.

But - after one-too-many bizarre encounters on the underground and National Rail - he has now ripped up his oyster card and rents a local house for his 16-week training camps, to avoid any more embarrassing encounters on London's tubes and trains.
Ahead of his Saturday night Riyadh showdown with bullish 37-year-old Dillian Whyte, Itauma told SunSport: 'This is my third fight in the camp house because travelling from Kent to Harlow every day was a killer - especially the Dartford crossing.
'The amount of times I drove there and ended up just leaving my car and getting the train home was a joke. One time I left the gym at 3pm and I didn't get home until 9:30pm.

'I got stuck at the Dartford crossing, turned the car around, drove to Stratford, dumped the car and got the train - I couldn't do that anymore.

'But then the trains became a problem too - I was on a train about three months ago, looking at my phone, minding my own business.
'And some guy came over and sat next to me and whispered: 'If you take a selfie with me, I won't tell everyone on here who you are.'
'Then the guy opposite said: 'We all know who he is, mate, but we're just trying to leave him alone!''

Itauma delivers the story like a seasoned showbiz star, not the wonderkid boxer who has dedicated his life to nothing but the fight game for a decade.
Neither comedic delivery nor the threat of Whyte's vicious left hook, seem to faze Itauma.

But intense fandom, and criticism for hopping on the quickest and easiest mode of transport available, did stun him.
'It made me feel uncomfortable,' he admitted. "And then the first bloke asked me why 'someone like me' was even getting a train
'I did the selfie with him, though, and I signed his phone for him.
'The train is so handy to beat the traffic around London, but I'm not even sure I can do that anymore.
'I've never denied anyone a picture, because I know and appreciate that they might never see me - or anyone else famous - ever again.

Northern Ireland star would be a massive boost to our new GT racing team, admits team owner
Dick Bennetts has confirmed the British squad is set to diversify into the code next year, with a number of programmes, machinery, and drivers all currently under consideration. It will run alongside WSR's Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship programme, which has resulted in 18 overall titles since 2009, with four of these being landed by Turkington — the joint most decorated person in the series alongside Ashley Sutton and Andy Rouse. The Portadown man has made almost 570 BTCC race appearances and started 30 of these from pole, chalked up 80 fastest laps, 72 victories and 190 podium finishes. Commercial difficulties forced Turkington to vacate his seat at WSR for the current BTCC campaign, although he hasn't cut his ties entirely, playing a supporting role from the WSR garage, helping with pre-season testing and even deputising for defending champion Jake Hill during Free Practice One at Croft Circuit earlier this month when the Englishman fell ill. To keep himself sharp, 43-year-old Turkington has made appearances at a Britcar and Classic Sports Car Club meet in a BMW E36, as well as the Ginetta Cup in a Ginetta GT4. His most recent track outing came at the Super Touring Power meeting at Brands Hatch, and he was close to winning his sole race at the controls of a 2000-specification, front-wheel-drive Vauxhall Vectra only for late suspension troubles to deny him overall glory. Turkington has already spoken of his desire to focus on GT racing moving forward — and the WSR news has sent the rumour mill into overdrive, with some suggesting Turkington would be a nailed-on choice to help lead the line at British, European or even World level. Asked for his views on the possibility of putting Turkington behind the wheel of one of his cars, Bennetts said: 'It is too early to be talking about drivers for GTs in 2026 at the moment but, naturally, Colin is a champion. 'He has achieved fantastic success and would be an asset to any programme we were involved with going forwards. 'This is the start of a new era for WSR and may surprise a few people – but it is something we have been evaluating ever since we were asked to put together a GT programme a few years ago, but decided it was not quite the right time,' the New Zealander continued. 'GT racing is now at an all-time high, making this the perfect moment to move into the space alongside our BTCC programme. 'By declaring our intentions now, we give ourselves the best chance to be fully up-to-speed by the start of the 2026 season.'

Emma Raducanu breaks silence on love life after 'terrible' incident Emma Raducanu has opened up on the speculation surrounding her love life, with the British No.1 set to partner Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open mixed doubles Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu were spotted filming together at this year's Wimbledon (Image: Getty) Emma Raducanu has expressed her frustration over the constant speculation surrounding her personal life, describing one press conference incident as "terrible". The British tennis star is about to take the court alongside Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open mixed doubles competition, with the pair's relationship a constant source of romance rumours. Raducanu is currently enjoying arguably her best season since coming from nowhere to win the US Open in 2021 but it is off-court matters that have often taken the headlines. She was spotted attending one of Alcaraz's matches at Queen's earlier this summer and there we even reports of a hotel visit involving the two. However, the 22 year old firmly stated at the time that she and the two-time former Wimbledon champion were "just friends" and she has now addressed the situation in an interview with The Guardian. The British No1 said: "I guess I'm like, it comes with the territory, people being so curious. "I think they're more curious about this news than any tennis results and tennis news. "It's always amusing when people try to dig something up, but I try not to pay too much attention to it." arlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu (Image: Max Cisotti/for evian) During Wimbledon, British tennis player Cam Norrie was oddly asked if he was dating Raducanu in a press conference by a foreign reporter. The perplexed player, who is in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Louise Jacobi, responded: "Sorry?!" The reporter then clarified: "I am trying to find out who is dating Emma Raducanu. It seems to be a question circulating among all the men's singles... I was wondering if you're dating her, please?" Reacting to that awkward exchange, Raducanu chuckled before commenting: "That was terrible, terrible."

Scared team-mate found Lions star sat on toilet thinking he was going to die
Scared team-mate found Lions star sat on toilet thinking he was going to die 'I can tell this story, because spoiler alert, he's not dead,' explained Ugo Monye. Andy Powell had a little too much caffeine. (Image: (Photo by)) Former England international Ugo Monye has revealed Andy Powell once "thought he was going to die" after a night out on a British and Irish Lions tour. The former Harlequins flyer told the tale on talkSPORT, with hosts Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein cracking up. Powell and Monye were teammates on the 2009 Lions tour to South Africa, where the touring side lost 2-1 to the Springboks. Despite going 2-0 down, Sir Ian McGeechan's side were victorious in the third and final match, winning 28-9. Two tries from Shane Williams and one from Monye himself helped seal the win. A plethora of Welsh players were on that tour, much different to the 2025 edition, which featured only two Welshmen in the initial squad. Speaking to talkSPORT, Monye revealed that ex-Cardiff star Powell got himself into a right pickle during their celebrations. "I shared a room with a guy called Andy Powell," began Monye, before telling the tale of Powell's golf buggy trip down the M4 to the hosts. "Were you nervous about going to sleep?," asked Goldstein. "100%," replied Monye. Article continues below "I remember on the night of the third Test, we'd just won and it was a brilliant night. "He was just as committed on the pitch as he was to the social side. Everyone knows that Super Sunday is better than Super Saturday. "Generally, before a game you would have a caffeine tablet to get yourself revved up and motivated. He took four of these after the game because he wanted to go through the night. "So, he had had four caffeine tablets, a bucket load of Red Bulls, and then we got into bed at around three or four. "0.3 seconds later he sat bolt upright, because shock horror, he is having heart palpitations. "I can tell this story, because spoiler alert, he's not dead. "So, he woke up, having heart palpitations, I'm not in a fit state to manage him and I'm also not a doctor. So I've left the room to try and find our team doctor who was, funnily enough, asleep. There was no one around. I was frightened. "I go back into the room to not even consider what state he might be in. He's sat on the toilet with his phone in his hand, and his screensaver of his dog. And I was like: 'What are you doing?' "He was saying goodbye to his dog because he thought he was going to die." Article continues below "I just wonder what the stories you can't tell are," joked Goldstein, before all three cracked up. In the game itself, it was Monye who crossed for a try, with Wales legend Shane Williams grabbing a brace. Other Welsh internationals in the squad that day were Stephen Jones, Mike Phillips, Matthew Rees, Martyn Williams, Alun Wyn Jones and James Hook, although the latter did not come off the bench.
