Scheffler admitted that there is little margin for error when it comes to how the gofler manages his time.
"So I've learned over the course of my career to focus a little bit more on the rest side of things, especially when I get home," Scheffler told reporters on June 10. "Early in my career I was -- I've always been the guy that I think works the hardest, and if something is not the way that I feel like it should be, I'm going to go out there and figure it out, and that's just kind of how I've always approached things.

"Early in my career I was able to come out to courses and spend as much time as I wanted to out here, and that's just because I didn't really have any other obligations," Scheffler continued.
"I'd just come out and practice, practice, practice and do whatever I wanted to do, but now things are a little bit different with having a wife and a son and some other obligations at tournaments, as well. The schedule is just a bit different."
Despite the slow start at the U.S. Open, it looks like this balance is paying off as Scheffler finished T7 at Oakmont. Scheffler is pushing for his fourth win of 2025 as the golfer aims to win another trophy at the Travelers Championship.

Former NBA Exec Reveals 'Most Amazing Thing' About LeBron James
Former NBA Exec Reveals 'Most Amazing Thing' About LeBron James originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has a player option worth $52.6 million for next season. The leading scorer in NBA history turns 41 in December. He's the oldest active player in the league. Advertisement James played in 70 games for the Lakers this season, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per game. He made the All-NBA Second Team, becoming the oldest player in NBA history to accomplish that feat. The Lakers were the third seed in the West this season but lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs in five games. James averaged 25.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game in the five-game series. He suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee in Game 5. It's unknown if James will choose his 2025-26 player option with the Lakers or decline it and become a free agent. The four-time MVP is not expected to leave Los Angeles since his son, Bronny James, and five-time All-Star Luka Doncic are on the Lakers. Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images Former NBA executive John Hollinger, who now writes for The Athletic, created the player efficiency rating stat in the late '90s. He has a new stat called BORD$ (Big Ol' Rating Dollar). Advertisement BORD$ is designed to answer one question: How much value can a player deliver for next season? Hollinger bases this on two variables: the expected quality of the players' minutes and the minutes we'd expect the player to play on an average team. "The most amazing thing about James is that, at 40, he is still good enough and durable enough that BORD$ projects him as one of only 14 players in the entire league who are worth at least $52 million for the coming season, a figure that nears the 35 percent 'supermax' of $54.1 million," Hollinger wrote. There has never been a player to put up the numbers James did this season at 40 years of age. After seeing how he played this season, many believe James will put up elite numbers again in 2025-26. LeBron James Makes Michael Jordan Statement Without Hesitation
LeBron James Makes Michael Jordan Statement Without Hesitation originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Hall of Famer Steve Nash taped a live episode of "Mind the Game" on Saturday at Fanatics Fest in New York. Advertisement During the live taping, fans in the audience were able to ask James and Nash, two of the best players in NBA history, questions. One fan asked James which player he would want to play with from a previous era and the 21-time All-Star didn't mince words. James, 40, went with his childhood idol, Chicago Bulls and NBA icon Michael Jordan. "When you're talking about inspiration, there was nobody more inspiring to me than Michael Jordan," James said. "I think our games would've complemented as well. MJ was a flat-out scorer. He had a scorer's mentality. "If I had to pick him, but I know I can't pick him because I know how social media works. You (expletive) are gonna be like, 'Oh, you wanna play with Michael Jordan too? You played with everybody else, (expletive).' Advertisement "I didn't ask the question. I'm only answering it guys. USA Gymnastics Considering Major Change Amid Simone Biles-Riley Gaines Feud
USA Gymnastics Considering Major Change Amid Simone Biles-Riley Gaines Feud originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Simone Biles' name is synonymous with USA Gymnastics. But after her very bitter—and very public feud—with Outkick host and former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines over whether or not transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in women's sports, Biles, who's the most-decorated gymnast of all time, has put the gymnastics community in the spotlight. Advertisement Though Biles issued an apology to Gaines for her remarks and seemingly body shaming her, fans on social media still haven't stopped discussing the issue in regard to gymnastics. According to Fox News' Jack Thompson, USA Gymnastics could be making some changes to its eligibility criteria in the wake of the Biles-Gaines debate. 'USA Gymnastics (USAG) could be the next major American sports governing body to change its policies on allowing trans athletes to compete with women,' Thompson wrote. 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Terada-Imagn Images Thompson cited a statement from the organization that noted just last month it had begun the formal steps of implanting such a change. Advertisement 'In May, USAG removed its policy to assess compliance with the current legal landscape,' the organization said in a statement to Fox News. Thompson also pointed out that USAG's previous policy allowed transgender athletes who were biologically male to compete in the women's division, and that in 2020 the organization announced it would 'no longer require trans athletes to undergo sex reassignment, legal gender recognition and hormone therapy in order to compete in the gender category of their choosing. ' USA Fencing has stated its intention to change its policy regarding gender eligibility, and USA Track and Field has changed its gender-eligibility policy from the International Olympic Committee's, which allowed biological males to compete in women's sports, to the World Athletics guidelines, which doesn't. Thompson stated with some of the more prominent organizations adopting new policies, it's possible USAG will have a new one in effect for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
