Now, the venue revealed it will be reopening as the 'Bellview'.
Bosses of the establishment said it will be a 'stunning restaurant, bar, and function venue serving up mouth-watering meals'.
They also said the eatery will have a beer garden. At the moment, the owners of the food spot have yet to reveal an opening date for it.
Earlier this month, we reported how Cesar's - what the venue was formerly known as - announced its closure.
In a post on social media, the watering hole shared two pictures of the venue, one with its sign on it and another with its sign removed.
Alongside the images, the watering hole wrote: "Currently closed. New chapter for this place. Big changes coming soon.
"Food, functions, and so much more. Will update everyone soon."
The much-loved Hoops boozer in the North Lanarkshire town opened back in 2020.
Described as being a 'modern, yet traditional Irish-style bar', it was dedicated to the late Billy McNeill.
Ex-Celtic hero Billy made over 480 appearances for the Parkhead club. The footballing icon also captained Celtic's Lisbon Lions to their European Cup victory in 1967.
During his football career, McNeill also played for Scotland and managed Celtic, Clyde, Aberdeen, Manchester City, and Aston Villa.

Five star performers for trainer Peter Easterby

Alverton A typical Easterby type in that he was precocious enough to be good on the Flat, finishing second in the 1976 Ebor, and hardy enough to be even better over jumps. Winner of the Arkle Trophy in 1978, he successfully stepped up in distance to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup the following year. It was close between him and Tied Cottage at the final fence where the Irish horse fell, leaving Alverton to coast home in the snow and mud. He started favourite for the Grand National in the same year and was going easily when suffering a fatal fall Becher's Brook on the second circuit. Goldhill Easterby may be better known for training stayers and jumpers, but it was the sprinter Goldhill that first put him on the map. After winning the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot in 1963, Goldhill would have gone there for the King's Stand Stakes in 1964 but the meeting was abandoned due to waterlogging. However, he put the record straight when taking the five-furlong feature in 1965. Coincidentally, Goldhill retired to stud and became a successful stallion, most notably siring dual Champion Hurdle winner Comedy Of Errors. Little Owl Little Owl led home a one-two for Easterby in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1981 when denying his stablemate Night Nurse. The trainer picked up Little Owl for 2,300 guineas and the sky appeared to be the limit when he captured the big prize at the tender age of seven on only his fifth start over fences. It was not to be, though, as he was badly hit by a virus and was never anywhere near his best form again. Night Nurse A good Flat career was expected from this son of Falcon, but though he won a Ripon maiden at the age of three, it was over jumps that he made his name, winning 32 of his 64 races over obstacles. He was 'all heart', according to Easterby, and was one of the star turns in a golden era. He won the Champion Hurdle in 1976 and 1977 and in the latter year dead-heated with Monksfield, giving him 6lb, at Aintree. He also gave his all over fences and recovered from a bad injury to go down by only a length and a half to Little Owl in the Gold Cup in 1981. Sea Pigeon Sea Pigeon had been a good horse on the Flat for Jeremy Tree and over hurdles when with Gordon Richards, but became a great one under Easterby's guidance from early 1977. His exploits under both codes are legendary and it was his burst of speed that stood him out from the rest. A dual Chester Cup hero and memorable winner of the Ebor, it was his four consecutive appearances in the Champion Hurdle that are perhaps most fondly remembered. Second in 1978 and 1979, he finally lifted the prize in 1980 and repeated the trick the following year at the age of 11 under a vintage John Francome ride.

URC considers shock US expansion as it waits on WRU decision over cutting teams

URC considers shock US expansion as it waits on WRU decision over cutting teams The URC is considering further expansion The United Rugby Championship could look very different in the future (Image: Huw Evans Picture Agency Ltd ) The United Rugby Championship is considering expanding into the US, with Chicago and Miami potential destinations for two new franchises, WalesOnline has learnt. There is a big push to improve rugby in the US given the fact they are hosting the World Cup in 2031, and the URC could include two American sides in the future. The URC is no stranger to expansion having initially started as a Celtic league before inviting Italian and South African teams into the competition. ‌ Georgian outfit Black Lion have also been in negotiations with the URC but the US route is being seriously considered. Sign up to Inside Welsh rugby on Substack to get exclusive news stories and insight from behind the scenes in Welsh rugby. ‌ Were the URC to allow two US sides into the competition there would have to be a significant financial uplift to its current shareholders, while the cost of travel and player welfare would also have to be taken into consideration. News of the US interest comes as the URC are engaged in ongoing talks with the WRU over how many Welsh teams will participate in the competition going forward. The union is strongly considering cutting down to three or even two professional clubs after serving notice on the current status quo of four equally funded sides. If the WRU does decide to cut teams, a potential expansion into the US could be more attractive to the current URC shareholders. Join WalesOnline Rugby's WhatsApp Channel here to get the breaking news sent straight to your phone for free Article continues below While the quality of the sides competing in the URC cannot be questioned it is often criticised for its excessive travelling, especially since the introduction of teams from South Africa. There is already a professional league in the US called Major League Rugby which was only founded in 2017 with 11 teams in total but it is nowhere near the level required if the US are to compete with tier one nations. 'As the URC, we have always had expansion in DNA," said URC CEO Martin Anayi in a press conference last week. ‌ "We have been the Celtic League, and we moved, and we have tried to grow each time. And we have done that. "I think we have genuinely made it a better league. 'I think it is important that we continue to look outwards. But also, the bar is very high because, for every game you add, there is a player welfare issue to engage with. ‌ 'And that is something you have to make sure you aren't compromising. "You have logistics, especially when we are transcontinental, and then you have the sporting element, and we want it to be as competitive as ever. 'So I would never say never, but I think the bar is very high to do that. ‌ "We play less rugby with the URC model and format. We don't have home and away games in every match. "We have almost 320 internationals playing in the league, which is almost double what you have in the Premiership or Super Rugby. Motherwell star who downed Rangers turns down new contract at Fir Park

The Steelmen have said farewell to Irish defender Dan Casey Motherwell has announced defender Dan Casey has turned down a new deal at Fir Park and will be pursuing a move down south. The Irishman has spent the past two-and-a-half years with the Steelmen and netted a historic goal for the club last year when they defeated Rangers at Ibrox to claim Motherwell's first win in Govan since 1997. Casey was also part of the Motherwell side that repeated that feat with a win in Glasgow in March this year. ‌ The Steelmen are currently on the hunt for a new manager after Michael Wimmer's shock departure last month and Casey won't be hanging around ML1 to see who will replace him. ‌ A club statement from Motherwell read: "After offering Casey a contract at Fir Park, the Irish centre-back has decided to pursue options down in England. "Casey arrived in February 2023 on a short-term deal, but after impressing quickly, he signed a two-year deal that summer. "Since then, he has played 85 times for the club, scoring seven times. One of those goals was the winner at Ibrox in 2024, which secured Motherwell's first win in Govan since 1997. "A constant in the side last season, Casey racked up the most minutes played of any player in the squad. "The club would like to thank Dan for his efforts and dedication in his time at Motherwell and wish him nothing but the best for the future."
