Fake Doctor Leaves Woman Brain-Dead After Failed Attempt To Remove Butt Implants
Felipe Hoyos-Foronda, a fake doctor from Queens, NY, left one of his patients brain-dead after a botched attempt to remove her butt implants in his illegal home clinic.
According to court documents released on Wednesday (April 2), the 31-year-old woman visited Hoyos-Foronda's unlicensed place of business on 35th Street near 20th Road in Ditmars-Steinway to have her implants removed around 1 p.m. on Friday.
Hoyos-Foronda, 38 — who claimed to be a doctor in Colombia — administered lidocaine to the victim through a syringe during the procedure, which caused her to go into cardiac arrest. A complaint was later filed in Queens Criminal Court. He left the woman 'clinging to life,' according to New York Post.
She was rushed to Mount Sinai Queens hospital and was listed in critical condition, with Hoyos-Foronda fleeing the scene. The woman was intubated with no brain activity, and appeared to show signs of 'lidocaine toxicity,' per the complaint, which quoted the doctor assigned to her.
When her friend went back to the illegal clinic to pick up her belongings, the landlord explained what happened and the local authorities were called. Upon arrival, the landlord gave NYPD Hoyos-Foronda's photo and they tracked down his car that was headed towards JFK.
Authorities say he had a ticket for a flight to Colombia.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and unauthorized practice of a profession. He was held without bail during his Sunday arraignment, and is set to reappear in court Thursday morning. Per CBS News, the house is now under a partial vacate order, which states, 'first apartment operating as a medical office with medical exam table, cosmetic injectable syringes, exam lights.'
The victim was still unconscious as of Wednesday, and NYPD issued a photo of him via Crime Stoppers in hopes that more victims or anyone with information will come forward.

MCSO searching for suspect who evaded on motorcycle
MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland County Sheriff's Office has asked for help from the community to identify a suspect accused of evading arrest. According to Crime Stoppers, on May 30, investigators with the MCSO tried to contact a man at the Kent Kwik located in the 5000 block of Highway 349. ‘Disturbing': NYC lawmakers seek investigation into NYPD-ICE collaboration

NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City Council members are urging the Department of Investigations (DOI) to investigate whether the NYPD is sharing information with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Speaker Adrienne Adams, Council Member Gale Brewer, and Commissioner Jocelyn E. Strauber have requested the DOI investigate the NYPD's alleged collaboration with federal authorities. They are concerned that civil immigration enforcement may violate local laws. More Local News 'In recent days, we've witnessed masked agents of the Trump administration detain people following the law targeting our neighbors,' Speaker Adams said in a video posted to her X account. 'This is not about public safety; it makes us less safe. Reports that NYPD collaboration and information shared with federal agencies are being used in civil immigration proceedings are disturbing.' Adams also pointed out that sharing information with ICE for immigration enforcement violates New York City law since New York is a sanctuary city: a sanctuary city limits or declines to cooperate with the federal government's immigration law enforcement. In a press conference on Monday, NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the force does not engage in civil immigration enforcement. Two members of rapper Key Glock's entourage were busted – both for packing loaded Glocks – as they made their way into the Governors Ball over the weekend, law enforcement sources and prosecutors said. Joshua Crutcher, 31, and Dion Michaels, 22 – part of the entourage of the Memphis-based rapper, who was set to perform at the famed New York City music festival – were cornered by security as they tried to enter the VIP area Sunday, the sources said.
