
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient art illustrates philanthropic commitment of PGA TOUR, FedEx during FedEx St. Jude Championship
The world's top 70 PGA TOUR pros, along with fans and a global audience, will see St. Jude patient art on course throughout the week on caddie bibs during tournament play, custom-designed shoes worn by some PGA TOUR pros and on TaylorMade ® headcovers and PING golf bags.
Art therapy is an important part of the patient journey at St. Jude as a way to reduce stress, explore complex feelings, manage the effects of treatment and improve quality of life. Bright, heartwarming art created by patients is on display throughout hallways and common areas on the St. Jude campus.
'Art, like hope, has a way of traveling far and wide and that is why our partners at PGA TOUR and FedEx understand the importance of sharing patient artwork as part of the overall FedEx St. Jude Championship experience,' said Samantha Maltin, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 'Decades of support from these incredible organizations help tell the story of St. Jude around the world as doctors and researchers work to advance quality of care and increase survival rates for children everywhere.'
Attendees will see patient art on signage, at fan experiences and on display throughout the course. Patient-designed merchandise will also be available in the PGA TOUR Pro Shop and online via the St. Jude Gift Shop. In addition, a PGA TOUR Wives Association Patient Art Party, another championship tradition, will bring St. Jude patients and PGA TOUR families together for a hands-on creative session during tournament week. Since 1970, the PGA TOUR event in Memphis has raised more than $80 million for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, helping to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, so families can focus on helping their child live.
The 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship is the first of three events in the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs.

With his contract expired and no playing rights on either tour, Swafford attempted to return to the PGA Tour last season. But the response wasn't what he expected. "I know they're basing that on a couple of people's contracts being up after the '26 season," Swafford told "Subpar" hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. "So then they can kind of change rules in favor of everybody coming back." "I know some guys who didn't have any status on the PGA Tour, it's a hard one-year (suspension), not PGA Tour-sanctioned events, but then you can come back and play," he added during the same interview. "But problem is if I come in and talk to them, it's like, 'OK, I can come back and play in '27 (2027), but what does '27 on the PGA Tour really look like?' So I would go ahead and bet and say that the past champions category is pretty much done going forward after this year." "We can agree or disagree, but it just seems like that and they've kind of told me," Swafford expressed on Subpar. The 37-year-old pro's journey with LIV wasn't without controversy. He was part of the 11-player antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour in 2022, alongside Talor Gooch and Matt Jones. Their request to play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs was denied, and all parties eventually withdrew. The legal battle ended with the 2023 framework agreement, but tensions between the tours, as seen, remain unresolved. "We knew there would be some repercussions," Swafford said in the podcast, later posted on YouTube. "Didn't know how long. I didn't think it would be this fractured this long." He continued, "I still think it needs to come together. I don't know how it's going to come together. As a golf fan, you want to see the best playing together. I don't think this fracture is good for the game. But on the flip side, the PGA Tour needed to be shanked up a bit." Scottie Scheffler will take being rested and ready over practice for FedEx Cup playoffs
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Scottie Scheffler returned home from his British Open victory, made a few brief appearances in New York and used the claret jug to get 15-month-old son Bennett into the men's grill at Royal Oaks in Dallas. He is rested. The key for Scheffler, regardless of the tournament, is to be ready. But this is the time of the year, even with $15 million at stake, not to be grinding on the range. 'At this point in the year, that extra practice is maybe only going to be draining for me a little bit, and that's something that I've learned to manage as my career has gone on,' Scheffler said Wednesday after his pro-am round in the FedEx St. Jude Championship. The tournament at TPC Southwind is the start of three straight FedEx Cup playoff events that culminate with the FedEx Cup title to whoever wins the Tour Championship. In a revamped postseason, the $25 million to the winner has been split up into three parts. Scheffler already picked up $10 million for leading the FedEx Cup in the regular season (along with $8 million from the Comcast Business Top 10 bonus program). The FedEx Cup leader after the BMW Championship next week gets $5 million, and the winner of the Tour Championship — all 30 players start from scratch this time — gets $10 million. The TPC Southwind is where Scheffler last missed a cut in 2022 (when the postseason was for the top 125 players, not the top 70). This year he comes to the postseason off a double major season — the PGA Championship and the British Open — and has finished in the top 10 in his last 11 tournaments dating to March. It's safe to say his game is in reasonably good shape. Now it's about conserving energy for August stops in Memphis, Baltimore and Atlanta. 'I would say my prep week last week definitely looked a bit different than it would have looked before the Scottish Open (in July) and definitely looked a little bit different than it would have looked if you go back to the beginning of the year when I was coming off injury,' he said. 'So making sure I'm rested, ready to play,' he said. 'My game is in a good spot, and I feel like some extra practice at this point in the year can almost be detrimental in terms of just physical and mental fatigue.' Scheffler stopped in New York for a brief appearance on the Jimmy Fallon Show and to attend the Happy Gilmore 2 premier. A lot of time included that silver claret jug he picked up from a dominant victory at Royal Portrush. 'We had a party two weeks ago at home with some of our friends, and everybody got to drink out of it. It was a lot of fun,' Scheffler said. He also has brought golf's oldest trophy to his home course at Royal Oaks — Justin Leonard brought the claret jug to the course when he won the Open in 1997 — and there was one time he went with just his son. 'He whacked some golf balls around, and we hung out for a bit,' Scheffler said. 'I took him to the 19th hole with me, and I got some pretty funny pictures with Bennett sitting in the 19th hole at the men's only grill where you've got to be — I think you've got to be 19 to get in there, but I figured if we bring in a couple major championship trophies with us, they'll let the rules slide on that one.' And now it's back to work. The points are quadrupled for the postseason, but Scheffler has such a lead — and Rory McIlroy is sitting this one out — that he is assured of staying at No. 1. This is one of the most important tournaments of the year because the top 50 after this week not only advance to the BMW Championship, they are assured of getting in all the $20 million signature events next year. Among those on the bubble for that is Jordan Spieth at No. 48, who is also trying to keep his shrinking Ryder Cup hopes alive.
