IRAN has launched fresh waves of missiles into Israel just hours after the US blitzed its key nuclear sites, injuring at least 23 people.
Tehran, reeling from the unprecedented airstrikes, has warned of "everlasting consequences" after the US got involved.

Two waves of around 20 and 10 missiles were fired at targets across Israel, according to the IDF.
The weapons penetrated air defences and caused damage in four civilian locations, including Tel Aviv.
Thirteen people were wounded in the Tel Aviv area, six in Nes Tziona, three in Haifa, and one on a highway near Beer Yaakov.
The person injured on the road was in "moderate" condition, whilst the other victims were all "lightly" wounded.
Sirens failed to sound in Haifa, and the IDF said it was investigating a possible malfunction with the "interceptor".
Iranian state media claimed that a Khyber missile was deployed for the first time in the conflict.
Announcing the fresh attack, the Mehr news agency said: The twentieth wave of large-scale missile-drone operations by the Islamic Republic of Iran's armed forces was carried out against the military targets of the Zionist regime."

A police chief's K-9 dog killed his young daughter in the back yard of their home while he was away. The German Shepherd named Draco was in a kennel and 'not actively attacking' when deputies responded to a call for a child being assaulted by a dog at the home in Burlington, Colorado, according to the Kit Carson County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Travis Belden and a deputy found the three-year-old girl unresponsive, and her mother, in the yard on Monday. The toddler was rushed to Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital. 'Despite best efforts by medical staff the child was eventually declared deceased,' stated the sheriff's office. 'This is a very tragic situation, affecting this community as a whole.' Burlington police Chief Nate Hill was keeping Draco at his home after Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office ended its K-9 program and donated him to the city's force. 'We our deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred within the city limits of Burlington, CO,' stated the Burlington Police Department. 'Our hearts go out to Chief Nate Hill, his wife and family for the loss of their little girl, who was victim of a dog attack.' Draco was taken to the Burlington Dog Pound and 'humanely euthanized', according to the Kit Carson sheriff's office. He had served as a narcotics detection dog. More Trending 'The dog was not trained in any kind of bite work to include protection or apprehension,' said the Kit Carson sheriff's office. Draco was not in service at the time of the attack. The incident is under investigation. The police department also said it was 'a tragic accident and not a criminal matter'. A Facebook post by the Cheyenne sheriff's office indicated that Draco was deployed in a traffic stop on June 19 'to conduct a free air sniff, resulting in a positive alert on the vehicle indicative of the presence of controlled substances'. The two 15-year-old schoolgirls were walking on the path close to the green space in Adderley Green, Stoke-on-Trent, at around 12.35pm yesterday when a man approached them, police said. North Korea says South Korea's peace overtures a 'pipedream'
SEOUL, Aug 14 (Reuters) - The North Korean leader's powerful sister said on Thursday that the country has never taken down propaganda loudspeakers and will not do so, calling South Korea's belief that Pyongyang was responding to its peace overtures a "pipedream." Kim Yo Jong, who is a senior official in the North's ruling Workers' Party, also said a change made to the plan for annual joint military drills by South Korea and the United States was a "futile" move that does not change the allies' hostile intent. Kim, who officials and analysts believe speaks for her brother, has in recent weeks rebuffed moves taken by South Korea's new liberal government aimed at easing tension between the two Koreas. "I am confident that Seoul's policy towards the DPRK remains unchanged and can never change," Kim was quoted as saying by KCNA official news agency. DPRK is short for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea's official name. South Korea's military has said it detected moves by the North's military to dismantle some propaganda loudspeakers directed at the South, following similar moves by the South. There has been cautious optimism in the South that the North may be responding positively to a policy by President Lee Jae Myung to engage Pyongyang after a period of cross-border tension and even show willingness to return to dialogue. Kim Yo Jong also said North Korea will not be sitting down with the United States for dialogue, saying reports raising the possibilities of such a development were "false suppositions."
