
Bahrain Delegation Wraps up a Successful Visit to Malaysia
A delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, headed by H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, successfully concluded a two-day strategic visit to Malaysia. The strategic visit aimed to deepen economic ties, foster investment opportunities, and explore collaboration between the two countries. The Bahraini delegation held fruitful discussions with prominent Malaysian officials across both days of the strategic visit, meeting with His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia on the first day. On day two, the delegation held strategic ministerial meetings with Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) Minister, wherein MITI is the main ministry in Malaysia that champions Malaysian industries' transformation as well as the development of investment and trade policies. MITI plays a vital role in developing the Malaysian economic landscape encouraging its transition to being driven by digitisation, advanced technology, and sustainability. The strategic visit additionally included a meeting with Datuk Ewon Benedick, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MECD) Minister.
The Bahrain delegation's successful visit to Malaysia marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations. The discussions across both days highlighted shared opportunities as well as areas of collaboration and knowledge exchange across multiple priority sectors. RHF signs cooperation agreement with Kaaf Humanitarian
The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) signed a cooperation agreement with Kaaf Humanitarian to implement joint programmes and projects supporting productive families, through a collaboration between RHF's 'Nitaj Khair Al Bahrain' initiative and Kaaf Humanitarian. The agreement was signed by Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of RHF, and Dr. Abdulatif Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Board of Al Islah Society. The agreement aims to exchange expertise and coordinate efforts between 'Nitaj Khair Al Bahrain' and Kaaf Humanitarian to develop and train productive families through joint training programs. It also includes collaboration on marketing their products through centres and incubators affiliated with both parties. The agreement provides for coordination with government and private entities to secure necessary support and resources, and to seek appropriate financing opportunities that ensure the sustainability of productive projects and generate a tangible positive impact for beneficiaries. Italy marks Republic Day with reception in Manama
The Embassy of Italy in Bahrain held a reception to mark the 79th anniversary of the Italian Republic, attended by ministers, diplomats and senior government figures. Among the guests were Justice Minister, His Excellency Nawaf Al Ma'awda, Sustainable Development Minister Noor Al Khulaif, and the President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) H.E. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. Also present were H.E. Ambassador Dr Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, director-general of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, and H.E. Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, who oversees bilateral affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. Italian Ambassador Andrea Catalano welcomed those in attendance and thanked Bahrain for its role in supporting what he described as a longstanding friendship between the two countries. 'I'm extremely honoured today to host this celebration, the 79th anniversary of the Italian Republic, here in Bahrain,' he said. 'It commemorates the friendship between our two nations, which we will work to make even stronger, building on the visit of Prime Minister Meloni to the Kingdom last January and future visits we hope to see to Italy.' The reception in Manama followed a number of recent meetings and visits between Rome and Bahrain, with both sides aiming to deepen political and economic ties.
