Catherine Zeta-Jones, famed 'Wednesday' actress, couldn't contain her joy as she uploaded a touching photo with husband Michael Douglas and their daughter Carys at her university graduation. The endearing snapshot showed Michael, 80, and Catherine, 55, planting celebratory kisses on the cheeks of their 22-year-old daughter who graduated from Brown University.
Carys was the picture of elegance in a flowing white dress, her wavy hair tumbling down her back, while her proud parents donned smart blazers for the academic celebration. Catherine shared her excitement: "The night before graduation! ! ! ! We are both such proud parents right now! ! It's only just begun! ! @carys.douglas."
Celebrities and fans alike flooded the comments with congratulatory messages, with Chelsea Handler among those offering their best wishes. Yet, despite the well-wishes, it was one feature that caught everyone's attention.
Admirers were quick to notice similarities between mother and daughter, with comments like: "She is as pretty as her mama congratulations," and "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, could not be more true! Stunning and best wishes for the future."
Others also remarked on Carys's resemblance to her mother, one fan noting, "What a beauty. Like her mother.", reports the Mirror.
with another adding: "Congrats Carys you remind me of your gorgeous mom when she starred in Darling Buds of May."
Michael Douglas paralleled his wife's pride with a heartfelt post of his own, extending his congratulations to Carys and her peers, captioning: "Congratulations Carys and the entire 2025 graduation class as you all begin your next chapter! We love you @carys.douglas."
Catherine and Michael are proud parents to two children, Carys and her elder brother Dylan, 24. Michael also has a son, Cameron, 46, from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker.
In 2021, Catherine revealed that both Carys and Dylan were keen on pursuing acting careers during an interview with Drew Barrymore on her show. She said: "Their love of the craft of acting is so strong that even when their brains are doing politics and history in school, their passion is acting. And they've never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting."
Just last month, Carys marked her 22nd birthday, and both her mum and dad took to social media to post heartfelt messages. Their posts sparked responses from Carys in the comments section.
Michael, famed for his roles in films such as 'Wall Street' (1987) and 'Fatal Attraction' (1987), shared a picture of Carys along with his tribute. He also announced that Carys, who was studying Film and International Relations at Brown University in the US, had recently graduated.
His post read: "Happy Birthday my darling daughter Carys! Congratulations on graduation! I am proud of you [Carys]! Dad."
This prompted a response from Carys, who replied in the comments: "Thank you Dadda I love you so much."

Holly Willoughby returns to ITV show as Netflix show axed after one season

Former host Holly Willoughby, alongside Stephen Mulhern, will appear in just one episode of the new six-part series when it airs later this year The second series of ITV's You Bet! will feature Holly Willoughby as a guest star rather than a presenter, as the show takes to the road across the UK. Hosted by Stephen Mulhern, the former hit 80s gameshow promises to be 'bigger and braver' than last year's first run. ‌ Each of the six episodes will have a panel of celebrities who must predict whether or not the plucky challenger will complete their task. ‌ As well as Holly, the celebrity panellists will include Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alesha Dixon, Johnny Vegas, Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones and Oti Mabuse. Others taking part are Rylan Clark, Judi Love, Josh Widdicombe. Alex Brooker Babatunde Aléshé, Eddie Kadi, Will Best, Nick Mohammed, AJ Odudu, Greg Rutherford and soap brothers Adam and Ryan Thomas. Presenter Stephen last month told the Mirror he was 'gutted' over Holly's departure but appreciated that she'd rung him to tell him that she was pulling out. After the demise of Dancing on Ice, which the pair also hosted together, Holly no longer has any TV shows on ITV. It has been reported that her Netflix show, Bear Hunt, in which celebrities tried to avoid capture by Bear Grylls, is not returning. ‌ Stephen said: 'It'll be interesting to see what Holly's going to do next really. I don't know what. 'I'm gutted she's not doing You Bet - but I've had time to think about it. We've filmed one episode already and it felt very comfortable and it felt good. And I think maybe it is just a one presenter show. 'Bruce Forsyth was the first person to do it, and he did it on his own. Matthew Kelly made it the best show on the telly. So maybe it's happened for the right reasons.' On the new show - You Bet on Tour - he added: 'This time we're hitting the road! Each week I'll be joined by a top celeb panel, as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges. With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it's going to be unbelievable from the start.'

Edinburgh YouTuber tests out how long £50 lasts in the city's pubs

More info An Edinburgh YouTuber has tested out how budget friendly the capital is - by stretching £50 out in the city's pubs. Michael, who runs the account Edinburgh & Beyond, wanted to see if it was possible to have a day of drinking on a budget. Setting off at around 1pm, Michael and his friend stop off at Platform 5 at Haymarket - spending £11 on two pints of Tennent's. They also visit The Haymarket Bar, The Fox and Faun, The Ghillie Dhu, Mathers, and Scotts. Between the two of them, they spend £91.80 by 7.30pm - meaning Michael spent £45.40, leaving only £4.60 of his budget, on eight drinks. His last, and ninth, drink was poured in The Auld Hundred - taking him just over the budget. Posting to YouTube, Michael said: "Day drinking in Edinburgh on a budget, is Edinburgh affordable? "How long can £50 last? We are on a mission to find out if Edinburgh is affordable or if it is too expensive. Sign up for Edinburgh Live newsletters for more headlines straight to your inbox "Edinburgh is known for its bar and pubs, so we head to the capital to go on a bar crawl and see how long our money will last." Closing off the clip, Michael added: "So, £50 each - we basically went over but only by £3. "We've been out for about eight hours. It's been a good day." Scarlett Moffatt shares tear-jerking message as she makes her dream come true

The former Gogglebox star and I'm A Me Out Of Here! winner, 34, shared a body positivity message with her fans as she made one of her dreams come true. Scarlett Moffatt has delivered an empowering message on body positivity, fulfilling one of her lifelong aspirations. The 34-year-old Gogglebox sensation, who rose to prominence while giving her take on television from her family's couch, spread positivity as she spun around during the finals of a ballroom dancing contest. Radiating joy in a vibrant neon green frock adorned with feathers and a sparkling belt, the mother-of-one urged her followers to pursue happiness regardless of any inhibitions. In a video where she's seen beaming and dancing with a childhood friend donning a navy jumpsuit, she captioned: "I've said it once I'll say it a million times. DO NOT let your shape, size or age stop you from doing something that brings you joy. ‌ "Don't let that silly inner sabotage voice tell you ya won't be able to do it. Don't tell yourself I'll do it when I'm thinner, when I'm fitter or when a, b or c happens. Do it now!" ‌ The star of I'm A Me Out Of Here! added: "I can't tell you how much joy dancing in two finals with my childhood friend has made me this weekend. I was thinking of nothing but the sheer joy that dance brings me, I hope I can encourage one more person to do the same.", reports the Mirror. Her motivational words were met with applause from her celebrity pals, with many echoing Scarlett's sentiments. Ex-Strictly contestant Ian Waite commented: "Love this darling", and It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara chimed in with: "Yes yes yes!!!!" Meanwhile, actress Emily Atack left a comment: "Omg obsessed xxxxxx", and Strictly's professional dancer Karen Hauer cheered on with: "Wooohooo yes babe!!" When Scarlett joined the cast of Gogglebox, her vibrant character, Northern charm, and quick wit instantly made her a telly favourite. But fame became overwhelming for the star after her I'm A Celebrity win in 2016; she found herself struggling with mental health issues, at one point calling Samaritans 20 times for help. ‌ Struggling under the weight of her newfound celebrity status, Scarlett confessed there was a time when she "wanted to disappear" at the height of her struggles. It was during this low point that she discovered Samaritans on social media, which ultimately provided her with the lifeline she needed. In 2022, Scarlett lent her support to a government campaign encouraging people to take care of their mental well-being. This initiative followed findings from The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) which indicated that nearly 70% of Britons suffered from "Sunday Scaries", anxiety triggered by impending work commitments, sleep deprivation and burgeoning task lists. ‌ While discussing her own experiences with anxiety with the Mirror, she revealed: "It doesn't even matter how many years I've been doing this, I still want to perform well. So that anxiety around getting my lines right, and hoping they want to work with me again all start." The television celebrity, who is set to marry Scott Dobinson and together they have a two year old son named Jude, shared that her most effective strategy for coping with stressful times is to seek support from friends and family – a stark contrast to her past approach. She explained: "This has been a gradual thing, but now if I'm ever feeling that way, I reach out to a loved one. That's the opposite of what I used to do. I used to think I don't want to be a burden on anyone, or that I don't want to let anyone down."
