Elon Musk's son, Strider, drawing featured a yellow spaceship heading to a pink Mars.
Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink executive and mother to four of Elon Musk's children, used xAI's Grok Imagine tool to turn a drawing by her 3-year-old son, Strider, into a short animated video.
Strider had created the drawing for his father. It showed a yellow spaceship, titled 'Starship", flying towards a pink Mars. He wrote: 'To Daddy" across the page and added his name and age at the bottom.

Art Brought To Life
Zilis used Grok Imagine, an AI tool by xAI, to animate the drawing. With a simple prompt, the sketch came alive as a short video. She captioned it, 'Imagine bringing images to life."
Musk responded to the post with a smiling emoji. He later reshared the video, writing, 'Grok Imagine can turn your child's drawing into an animated movie."

Families Use Grok Imagine
After the post, many parents began sharing animated versions of their children's artwork, excited by the idea of turning simple drawings into moving stories.
Another said, 'Very interesting story! My three-year-old drew mermaids and kittens. Children have a new way to make their pictures come to life now."
'I used Grok Image to make some movies from my son's drawings in summer camp. Pretty amazing!" someone added.
'That's awesome. Trying that tonight," a person remarked.
What Is Grok Imagine?
Grok Imagine is a new feature in the Grok app by xAI. It uses AI to turn text into pictures and can also turn images into short videos with sound.
How To Create Images With Grok Imagine
You can start by typing a short prompt describing what you want to see. If you prefer, you can upload an existing photo or tap the 'Speak" button to say your idea out loud.
Once you do that, Grok Imagine will show you the image along with a few different versions to choose from.
If you keep scrolling down, more images based on your prompt will continue to appear automatically. You can either share the images directly or save them to your phone.
How To Create Videos From Grok Imagine
After you have selected an image, tap on it and choose the 'Make video" option.
You will be given different video styles to pick from, such as Custom, Spicy, Fun or Normal.
Grok Imagine will then automatically create a video.
How To Turn Your Own Image Into A Video
To use one of your personal photos, go to the bottom of the app and tap the photo icon with a plus sign.
Upload any image from your phone's gallery.
Once uploaded, Grok Imagine will turn that image into a short video clip automatically.

Magnus Carlsen grills Elon Musk's Grok 4 as OpenAI's o3 crushes it 4-0: 'Learnt theory, knows nothing else'

Grok 4 was the strongest among eight AI models competing in the exhibition tournament hosted on Google's Kaggle Game Arena, storming into the final only to suffer a 0-4 thrashing at the hands of o3 in the final. read more Magnus Carlsen couldn't help but slam Grok 4, developed by the Elon Musk-owned X for its performance in a chess game against OpenAI's o3. Image: Grand Chess Tour/Reuters Chess world No 1 Magnus Carlsen did not hold back while roasting Elon Musk after his AI model Grok 4 was thrashed 4-0 by Sam Altman-founded OpenAI's o3 during an AI chess exhibition tournament. Grok 4 was among eight general purpose large language models competing on Google's Kaggle Game Arena alongside Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash, Open AI's o3 and o4-mini, Claude 4 Opus (Anthropic), DeepSeek R1 and Kimi k2 (Moonshot AI). STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD And while Grok 4 did go the distance by reaching the final, it made a series of questionable decisions in the final against o3 that did not escape the attention of Carlsen, who was commentating on the game along with British Grandmaster David Howell on Take Take Take. 'This is like watching kids' games. In those tournaments you always play them out,' Carlsen told Howell when Grok 4 was trailing 0-3 and was about to play the fourth and final game as well despite the unassailable lead. 'Hope everyone feels better about their games after watching this,' he added. The Norwegian GM would then go on to compare Grok to a player who was all theory but had little skills otherwise. 'Oh my God. Nooo. Nooo. The combination of knight g4 and queen a2…Yeah now you clearly have somebody… there's always that one guy in the club as well who's learned theory and literally nothing else. Just makes the worst blunders after that. Come on!' Carlsen continued during the commentary. "Oh god, nooo, nooo." @grok shows off with a classic Botez Gambit in game 2. — Take Take Take (@TakeTakeTakeApp) August 7, 2025 STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Carlsen compares Grok and o3's style of play Carlsen also couldn't help but compare the two AI models and their way of calculating moves. 'I'm not loving the fact that o3 didn't prepare for the game. It's literally going to the board, 'What am I going to play? What am I going to play? I'm going to play d6, e6, knight c6, maybe g6, oh knight f6, maybe I'm going to do that. Okay I'll play d6.' And then Grok is just like, 'I don't know, d4',' Carlsen said during commentary. 'You basically summed up the two types of chess player out there in the world, right?' said Howell in reply. Grok 4 was the most dominant of the eight AI models participating in the AI chess event right up until the final, where it committed a series of blunders starting with the opening game itself. As for the third spot, Gemini 2.5 Pro defeated o4-mini 3.5-0.5 to win the bronze medal. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Tesla to streamline its AI chip design work, Musk says

-Tesla will streamline its AI chip research to focus on its development of inference chips used to run AI models and make real-time decisions, CEO Elon Musk said, after a media report he had ordered the closure of the in-house Dojo supercomputer team. Bloomberg News on Thursday cited people familiar with the matter as saying Musk had ordered the Dojo team to be disbanded, with team leader Peter Bannon departing the company. Tesla did not reply to a Reuters request for comment. The Dojo supercomputer was designed around custom training chips to process vast amounts of data and video from Tesla EVs to train the automaker's autonomous-driving software. "It doesn't make sense for Tesla to divide its resources and scale two quite different AI chip designs," Musk said in an X post late on Thursday. "The Tesla AI5, AI6 and subsequent chips will be excellent for inference and at least pretty good for training. All effort is focused on that," he said, without directly mentioning Dojo. Tesla has been undergoing a wide-ranging restructuring over the past year, with its share price slumping as sales of its EVs were hit by rising competition and a backlash by European consumers in particular against Musk's political views. The company has seen multiple executive departures and cut thousands of jobs, and redirected its focus to AI-driven self-driving technology and robotics, with Musk pursuing an integration strategy across his tech business empire. Musk has previously said that next-generation AI5 chips would be produced at the end of 2026 and announced last month a $16.5 billion deal to source AI6 chips from Samsung Electronics, without providing a production timeline. He has said that future AI inference chips, including AI6, would be deployed in self-driving vehicles and its Optimus humanoid robots, though he has noted the substantial computing power could enable broader AI applications. The Dojo team recently lost about 20 workers to newly-formed DensityAI, and the remaining workers are being reassigned to other data center and compute projects within Tesla, the Bloomberg report said. This Is Creepy... Hrithik Roshans 17-Year-Old Son Hridaan Roshan Hounded By Paparazzi, Viral Video Sparks Outrage Online

New Delhi: A recent video of Hrithik Roshan's 17-year-old son, Hridaan Roshan, has gone viral on social media. The footage, which surfaced on Reddit and other platforms, has triggered widespread concern over the conduct of paparazzi, with many online users labelling the behaviour as "creepy" and "weird". Hridaan Seen Fleeing Paparazzi in Viral Clip In the now widely circulated video, Hridaan is seen exiting a building when paparazzi spot him and begin calling out. Startled, the teen attempts to avoid any interaction by walking away swiftly, but the paparazzi persist, prompting Hridaan to break into a run towards a parked car. Social Media Users Condemn Paparazzi Behaviour The video quickly gained traction on Reddit and other platforms, sparking a flurry of comments criticising the invasive behaviour. One user wrote, "Why would you run after a barely legal child like that!? He legit seemed a little scared and accosted." Another added, "This is weird asf, paps are such creeps man." Several others called for accountability: 'This should be a crime,' or 'This is literally harassment,' and 'Oh my god! Poor kid. He is being hounded. This is a way this child ran to a safe place is really sad. It's a crime to harass people like that.' Hridaan's Looks Earlier, he made headlines for his resemblance to his father, Hrithik Roshan, with comments comparing his facial features to both his parents. However, several users pointed out how such observations were often accompanied by inappropriate and overly personal commentary, especially from adults online. "Poor kid. I also remember the Internet being so creepy towards his looks as a minor, lots of weird comments from clearly middle aged women. This is literally harassment,' one commenter noted. Public Demands Boundaries The incident has renewed conversations about the need for ethical boundaries in media coverage of celebrity families, particularly minors. 'This is creepy. Paps need to learn manners,' one user summed up.
