Woman Kills Husband With Lover's Help, Hides Body Under Floor In 'Drishyam'-Style Cover-Up
Komal Chavan in Maharashtra allegedly killed her husband Vijay with her lover Monu, burying the body under floor tiles like in "Drishyam."
In yet another case of an extramarital affair turning deadly, a woman from Maharashtra allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover.
The accused, instead of disposing of the body of victim Vijay Chavan (35), far from her location, buried it under the floor of a room of her chawl in Sai Welfare Society in Gadagpada, east of Nalasopara, around 70 kilometres from Mumbai.
In a chilling twist, Komal Chavan and her lover Monu reportedly laid fresh tiles over the spot in an attempt to cover up the crime, a method strikingly similar to that used by Ajay Devgn's character Vijay Salgaonkar in the crime thriller Drishyam.
The case came to the limelight after Chavan's two brothers came looking for him as he had been missing for the past 15 days.
When Chavan's brother reached the victim's residence on Monday morning, they found the colours of the tiles in the house looked different, which made them suspicious. So, they removed the tiles, and a foul smell started coming out.
They immediately called the police, and the work to remove the tiles began.
Komal Chavan told the neighbours that her bathroom was choked up, so she had called people to dig it up, but no one knew what it was for.
She has an 8-year-old son with his husband.
