A warm Wednesday, with the chance for rain returning tomorrow
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — We have seen lots of sunshine across Mid-Michigan for the first half of our Wednesday. We will hold on to dry and mostly sunny conditions as we move throughout the rest of the day. By tomorrow afternoon, the chance for rain will increase across the region as we enter a more active weather pattern.
The dry and mostly sunny conditions we have across the area this afternoon and evening will help boost our high temperature into the mid-80s.
Dew points will begin to climb into the upper 50s this afternoon. However, while it will feel slightly humid outside, winds will be gusting close to 30 miles per hour to provide some relief.
Dew point temperatures will rise into the low to mid-60s Thursday through Saturday, allowing humidity to increase across the region.
In addition to the humidity, rain chances will return to the forecast by Thursday, with a few isolated showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and evening.
We hold on to the chance for precipitation Friday and Saturday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, thanks to a front that will stall out across our region.
Dry and mostly cloudy conditions will return in time for Father's Day, which should be incredibly nice across Mid-Michigan, with low humidity and highs in the mid-70s.

Chilly weather springs back for Ontario's Father's Day weekend
After a brief taste of summer this week, the upcoming weekend will feature a return to spring-like weather, including a threat for rain. However, Father's Day weekend will also include some sunshine and opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities. For more details on what you can expect this weekend, please read on! DON'T MISS: As we kick off the weekend on Friday, cooler weather will continue to spread across southern Ontario with temperatures more typical of early to mid-May, especially around the west end of Lake Ontario due to the east wind off the lake. However, summer weather won't be far away as southwestern Ontario will see temperatures in the mid 20s for one more day. We will see a mix of sun and cloudy periods during Friday with a low risk for passing showers. However, during Friday afternoon and Friday night, there will be an increasing threat for showers across cottage country. The rain should end early on Saturday across cottage country, then clouds will mix with sunny breaks. MUST SEE: Saturday will bring a mixture of clouds and sunny breaks. However, we will have brisk east wind off Lake Ontario and that will keep temperatures well below seasonal. Sunday will be the best weather day of the weekend for outdoor activities. While we can't completely rule out a passing shower, most of southern Ontario will be dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloudy periods. SEE ALSO: Temperatures will be noticeably warmer on Sunday - not hot, but cottage country will be near seasonal for mid June. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler near the west end of Lake Ontario due to a light east wind off the lake, but it will still be a pleasant day. The warming trend will continue into early next week, but the threat for passing showers and thunderstorms will return. Click here to view the video

Weekend Forecast: Slight chance of rain for Father's Day
If you have any outdoor plans for this Father's Day Weekend, you may need to keep an eye on the sky as there will be a slight chance for rain. It will be a typical June weekend. Warm, humid, with a chance of a pop-up shower in the afternoon hours. Friday returns soggy weather, which will lead to on-and-off rainfall for the majority of the day. Totals will thankfully remain on the light side when compared to the recent downpours we have become accustomed to. We will begin the process of wrapping up the rain on Saturday with skies clearing by the afternoon. I expect most people to stay dry; however, I can't rule out the chance for a stray shower to develop. Similar conditions linger for Sunday. High temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s for both days. Water levels are starting to return to safe floating levels after the record rainfall we've received in the spring. Most rivers are running a bit higher than normal. With that being said, they shouldn't pose any problem for any non-first-time floaters.
