He reported that all three sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospital admission.
"The case is being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act. The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man, also sustained minor injuries," ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said.

The incident occurred around 8.25pm when the driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle.

Six-year-old boy strangled with cable ties, autopsy reveals
SEREMBAN: Strangulation has been identified as the cause of death of the six-year-old boy whose body was found buried in Rompin. Negri Sembilan police chief Dep Comm Datuk Ahmad Dzafffir Mohd Yussof said the post-mortem examination was conducted at Rembau Hospital. "The cause of death is due to strangulation using cable ties. The medical team estimates that the victim died between 9am and 11am on July 23," he said on Tuesday (July 29). DCP Ahmad Dzaffir said the case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder as well as under the Child Act 2001. Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan had said the boy's father had lodged a report on the child's disappearance on July 24, who claimed that his son went missing near a coffee shop in Taman Bukit Indah. The father was later arrested as a suspect. Earlier on Tuesday, Jempol police chief Supt Norhisham Mustapar said police seized a hoe believed to have been used to bury the body. The body was found buried near a railway line, far away from residential areas. Supt Norhisham said the suspect was still under custody of Johor police where he is under remand till July 31. "We will question him further once the suspect is brought back here," he said.

RM2,500 stolen in snatch theft: Police apprehend local suspect
KUALA LUMPUR: A local snatch thief was caught after stealing RM2,500 in local and foreign currencies from a foreign woman. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said that the bust was made after follow-up action was taken following a foreigner's report of a snatch theft on June 25. "On July 15 at around 4.50pm the police arrested a 34-year-old local suspect in the Setapak area," he said at a press conference on Tuesday (July 29) at the district police headquarters. Checks on the suspect revealed several stolen items: five bank cards, a Pakistani passport, two Malaysian driving licenses and a motorcycle. "Investigations showed that the motorcycle that was seized was reported stolen in the Jalan Pahang area in Wangsa Maju. The suspect also tested positive for methamphetamines," he said. He added that the suspect has been handed over to the Wangsa Maju police. "The police found that the suspect followed his victim's movements and targeted those who were not paying attention and focused on their phones. The suspect also moved around by staying at various budget hotels," he said.

Female cop killed in Iskandar Puteri accident
ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 37-year-old policewoman has died after she was involved in a two-car collision at KM28 of Jalan Gelang Patah-Pendas early Tuesday (July 29). Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the victim, Kpl Fairuzfadila Musa, was driving her car from Gelang Patah to work when the incident occurred at about 7.15am. "Preliminary investigations revealed that a grey car travelling in the opposite direction suddenly made a left turn at a junction and ran a red light, leading to the crash," he said. ACP Kumarasan added both drivers sustained injuries due to the incident and were rushed to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru for treatment. "Unfortunately, the policewoman succumbed to serious head and body injuries while receiving treatment. The driver of the other car, a 41-year-old woman, suffered head and chest injuries and remains unconscious," he said. He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless and dangerous driving. ACP Kumarasan also said that investigations are ongoing and urged witnesses to come forward by contacting the Iskandar Puteri police traffic investigations unit at 07-510 1322. Meanwhile, in a statement posted on Johor police Facebook page, state police chief Comm Datuk M. Kumar Muthuvelu and his wife Datin SP Shanthi extended their condolences to the victim's family. "On behalf of the entire Johor police contingent, we express our deepest sympathies to the family of the late Kpl Fairuzfadila, who served at the Taman Universiti police station under the Johor Baru North police headquarters," he said.
