I Solo Traveled to Ibiza, and I Regret Not Bringing These 9 Essentials for Comfort and Security—From $8
Given that Ibiza, Spain, is known for being a party destination, I received funny looks when I told people I booked a solo trip to the famous island. It's more conventional to visit for a girls' trip or bachelor party, but a few things were drew me to Ibiza: regret that I didn't join a weekend trip my friends took years ago, the more wellness-oriented side of the island that I'd reported on for an article, and the island's cherry symbol (which matches my last name). All my friends were unavailable or uninterested, so I booked a vacation for one. It ended up being one of my most memorable trips, with spontaneity that I probably wouldn't have experienced had I planned everything out with travel buddies. I wouldn't change a thing, but I would pack differently if I were to revisit the city. I'm detailing my ultimate Ibiza packing list below, with travel accessories, clothes, and more that would be useful whether you're visiting solo or with a group. I didn't see many opportunities to purchase a fan while I was in Ibiza compared with when I've been to other Spanish cities, so I'd recommend packing one if you want one to beat the heat. This popular mini handheld fan has two speed settings and folds into a compact size that will fit even in a small clutch, so you can take it with you to the beach, walking around town, or going out at night. Earplugs can come in handy in multiple instances, whether there's a crying baby on your flight, noisy upstairs neighbors at your hotel, or you want hearing protection at a concert or club. These Loop Experience 2 Earplugs are designed to stay put while you move around and allow you to hear music clearly while protecting your ears. Plus, they look like jewelry, unlike other earplugs, so you won't mind packing them for enjoying Ibiza's nightlife without ringing ears the next day. I highly recommend visiting Ibiza's gorgeous public beaches and those of its neighboring island, Formentera, which is an easy day trip by ferry. If you plan to hit the beach but don't want to rent an umbrella or chair, you can bring this portable Sunnylife Solo Sun Shader. It acts as a mini umbrella to protect your face from the sun, and folds up into an easy-to-pack carrying case that you can take with you to and from the beach. If you're worried about keeping your belongings secure while traveling alone, you might appreciate this crossbody 'anti-theft' bag. This one lies flat against your body so you can wear it under your clothes, although it's still roomy enough to fit your cards, keys, passport, and any other small essentials. Ibiza can be quite crowded, especially out at a nightclub, so this anti-theft pouch would provide peace of mind. Although I asked a few people to take photos of me during the trip, a portable tripod is a smart device to pack for solo travelers who want to ensure great pictures no matter where they are. This mini camera tripod collapses so compactly that it fits in a purse, and it can also be used as a handheld selfie stick for greater versatility. This would be key in a place like Ibiza that has gorgeous views all over the place. Air travel is notoriously dehydrating, and electrolyte drinks may help combat the effects of flying. And, if you plan to imbibe on your trip, then it's especially wise to pack electrolyte packets to add to your water. I've tried more than a dozen options while researching an article on electrolyte drinks, and I always come back to LMNT Zero Sugar packets. They have 1,000 milligrams (mg) of sodium, which is on the higher side of similar hydration packets, so I feel like they really pack a punch. I love this Vacation Shimmer Oil SPF 30, which comes in a TSA-friendly 2.9-ounce container, along with a matching lip oil that's also travel-friendly. The oil has fine gold specs that give you a bronzy glow (not in a glittery, juvenile way) and smells delicious, all while protecting your skin from the harsh sun's rays when you're spending the day beach or poolside in Ibiza. Personal safety devices like this portable door lock can give you extra peace of mind while traveling alone. Once in place, this lock makes it impossible to open a door, whether it's at a hotel or Airbnb, even with a key. This one is super compact, too, making it easy to travel with, and Amazon reviewers report that it's effective and secure. Keep in mind that it only works on doors that open inward. Other door safety devices include door stop alarms and door security bars. My Ibiza trip offered an opportunity to lean into fun looks for nights out, so I really allowed myself to step outside my comfort zone and plan some exciting outfits. Sequins have had a huge moment online, so this mini dress would be a perfect outfit to pack to turn heads going out in Ibiza. ove a great deal? Taco Bell's Not-So-Secret Sauce: An Endless Stream of New Stuff
How many ways can we talk about our increasingly short attention spans? Nobody reads books anymore. We want recipes for 10-minute, three-ingredient meals. Clothes can be ordered before they're even made and will land in a dumpster before the season is over. And, of course, TikTok. Today's instant gratification-obsessed attention economy has a clear winner: Taco Bell. And it's winning in the traditional economy too. Its credo is transparent—it shares its plan openly and simply, and it doubles as instructions to the rest of us: 'Live más.'

Two-Night Minimum Las Vegas
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas If you want to judge Vegas hotels based on value for money, the Venetian easily takes first prize. Since 2024 (its 25th anniversary), the World of Hyatt-affiliated property has invested some $1.5 billion in beautifully renovating its more than 4,000 rooms. But the most wonderful thing about the Venetian is that it can serve as whatever version of Vegas you want it to be. Looking for the kitschy glamour of gondoliers paddling through indoor canals? You've got it. Prefer a quieter version of luxury? The club lounges are like VIP hospitality suites lofted high in the towers. You can also dial the Vegas vibe up or down at 11 different pools. And then there's the restaurants, largely spin-offs of beloved global institutions like Jose Andres' Bazaar Meats and an offshoot of Manhattan's Korean steakhouse Cote. Don't sleep on homegrown Nomikai, a speakeasy sushi lounge with buzzy late-night ambience; it's hidden just off the casino floor. Rooms from $182 (including resort fee) Source: The Venetian Wynn Las Vegas Wynn's sleek, swooshing façade belies the whimsy just inside: The minute you step through its doors you'll find a bursting faux-flower forest with playful sea-themed mosaics curling along the floors. It's unequivocally the city's premiere high-end stay, with keen attention to detail and oodles of good taste. Dinnertime dining is Wynn's strongest suit. Standouts include Delilah—a sultry supper club complete with lounge singers, feather-flaunting showgirls and a menu of high/low crowd-pleasers, be it crab legs or chicken tenders—and the seafood-themed Pisces, where tiered seating faces the property's Lake of Dreams. (The manmade pond doubles as an entertainment venue, with regularly scheduled multimedia shows.) Don't miss the caviar bumps, served theatrically on fish-shaped crisps in a little pond of steaming black pebbles. Rooms from $226 (including resort fee) Photographer: Brandon Barré/Wynn Bellagio The centerpiece of the Strip, the Bellagio lives up to its legendary reputation. Book a main tower room with a bird's-eye view of the fountains; I never tired of watching the choreographed geysers splash from above. A morning meal at Como, the hotel's poolside restaurant, is the Strip's best leisurely resort breakfast. The pool experience is also top notch: Expect a bevy of unreserved lounge chairs and an army of diligent servers who carry your Aperol spritz with the perfect amount of Vegas swagger. But another (less sexy) benefit is the way the Bellagio seamlessly connects with Aria and the Cosmopolitan through indoor walkways, creating one über-resort that's easy to explore on foot. Pro tip: A new partnership with Marriott Bonvoy means you can use your points for all sorts of extra perks, like priority check-in, Cirque du Soleil tickets or, most audacious, the opportunity to choreograph your own fountain show.
