Printmakers' exhibition to be hosted in relocated city-centre gallery
The venue has moved premises to 54 Kirkgate in Bradford city centre - two doors down from its previous location.
The exhibition, 'Responses,' is a retrospective exhibition by Inkers, who are a group of independent contemporary printmakers based in Yorkshire.
Ken Woods, a co-founder of Trapezium Gallery, said: "After the disappointment of having to relocate at the end of last year, we are delighted to open our new venue with this exceptional exhibition that showcases both Bradford's printmaking talent and the region's heritage.
"Our volunteers have worked tirelessly to create a space with the scope to show exciting, new exhibitions and we hope as many people as possible will make the effort to visit this and future exhibitions."

Inkers, who have been working together since 2000, consists of artists who "pursue successful independent practices as exhibiting artists, educators, and writers."
They come together to collaborate, exhibit, and share their practices with one another.
June Russell, a spokesperson for the group, said: "All of us are Fine Art Printmakers, and make work that is original in both concept and construction.
"Between us we use a wide range of printmaking techniques, both traditional and contemporary, often in combination, and sometimes embracing non-print techniques during development and experimentation.
"We have members who specialize in screen printing, collagraph, etching, drypoint, lino & relief printing, monoprint and monotype, photographic methods, and innovative mixtures of all of these."

Ms Russell added: "A particular focus of our collaborative work involves working with museums and galleries, researching and responding to them and to their collections creatively through the medium of print.
"We've been inspired to push the boundaries of printmaking; you'll see woven prints, layered prints, 3D constructions, artist's books and more, on a vast range of topics: landscapes, machines, mills, looms, ropes, working men and women, birds, bees, mummies - all inspired by the museums, galleries, and collections of our city, district, and region."
The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, February 22 to Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Opening times are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am to 3pm.
There will be a launch event on Saturday, February 22, from 12pm to 4pm, where people can meet the artists and enjoy refreshments.

Mystique Within The Mundane: surrealist sculpture showcase planned
A multimedia artist who employs a "signature style of surrealism" is set to exhibit in Bradford. The Mystique Within The Mundane by Abraham Emajaro will run at Trapezium Gallery on Kirkgate from Saturday, July 26 to Saturday, August 16. The exhibition showcases sculpture and photography by Emajaro. Born in Bradford in 1961, Emajaro is a British-Nigerian artist whose work is influenced by his West African heritage. The artist, who has been a self-taught professional since the early 1980s, explores the subconscious in his work - with influences including Robert Rauschenberg. Found objects play a key role in Emajaro's art. Emajaro said: "I passionately collect an eclectic mix of domestic and commercial junk, and produce an array of box construction, sculpture, and assemblage, influenced by subjects such as ritual, mythology, iconography, and memory." The retrospective exhibition also includes new works, such as Sparrow Haven Mask. Emajaro explained: "It's a reimagined African tribal mask totem, constructed using old, reclaimed church organ pipes, made of cedar wood, dating back to 1901." The exhibition will also feature photographic prints. Trapezium Gallery is open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm. There will be refreshments and a chance to meet Emajaro at a launch event on Saturday, July 26, from 12pm to 3pm.

Trapezium Gallery exhibition of Lauren Kelly and Jess Swift's art
An art exhibition is set to open in Bradford. The exhibition, titled 'In Full Colour,' will showcase the work of multi-disciplinary artists Lauren Kelly and Jess Swift, at Trapezium Gallery, on Kirkgate, from May 10 to May 31. Ken Woods, of Trapezium Gallery, said: "We are delighted that friends Jess and Lauren have teamed up to exhibit their vibrant work." Kelly's work, which spans painting, collage, photography, and digital art, explores themes of nostalgia, youth culture, and the aesthetics of hedonism. She said: "I am interested in collapsing the boundaries between the real and the re-imagined. "Viewers are invited into that in-between space, where prettiness can be powerful, and where nostalgia, though tinted rosy retrospection, still leaves something raw behind." Swift, who primarily works in abstract painting and contemporary sculpture, explores neurodiversity and alternative learning methods through her work. She said: "As a dyslexic artist, my paintings are an expression of my reclaiming ownership, and I encourage the viewer to partake in the process." The exhibition will be open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 3pm. There will be refreshments and a chance to meet the artists at a launch event on Saturday, May 10, from 12pm to 3pm.
