Cape Town City offer Sundowns FOUR youngsters for R60 million
Those youngsters are Emile Witbooi (16), Shakel April (19), Jody Ah Shene (19) and Jaedin Rhodes (22).
This is according to iDiski Times , who reports that City appear keen on using the quartet to raise funds after their relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Nonetheless, even in the events that both City and Sundowns strike a deal, the four players would first still have to agree to it.
Witbooi, April and Ah Shene were recently crowned African champions after winning the U20 Africa Cup of Nations trophy with Amajita.
Rhodes, on the other hand, is a talented attacker who proved key for City with nine goals in his 87 topflight matches.
The quartet would have to make smart decisions on their future if they no longer see their futures with City.
And this is because of the quality that the current Sundowns squad possesses and the expections thereof.
City have already lost a few of their experienced stars with Thabo Nodada the latest to leave following in the footsteps of the likes of Thamsanqa Mkhize and Darren Keet among others. School of Excellence graduates. Images: Instagram @emile_witbooi10 @vinosnap
'Cape Town City have offered Emile Witbooi, Shakeel April, Jaedin Rhodes and Jody Ah Shene to Mamelodi Sundowns,' reads part of the report.
'This publication has been reliably informed that City offered the four young players to Sundowns and are valuing them at a massive R60 million.'

Ben Youssef also praised Sirino for his contribution to the side in the new season. Congratulations to him and all the players for their attitude, and how they perform in training.' Chiefs started the game against Richards Bay a little slowly, but improved vastly after the break and were well worth their win against an uninspired Natal Rich Boyz. 'You first have to think of killing the game' Ben Youssef, however, was not entirely happy that Chiefs did not do more to kill the game off with a second goal. PSL LOG: Kaizer Chiefs denied top spot despite win, Pirates remain bottom
Gaston Sirino's second-half strike was enough to give Kaizer Chiefs their third league win, keeping them second on the Betway Premiership log. Amakhosi came into the match having won two of their opening league games and were hoping for an emphatic win to climb to the top of the log. With leaders Durban City dropping points, it seemed as if Chiefs would go top, but Sekhukhune United's 3-0 win over Orbit College saw them top the Betway Premiership after three matches. Babina Noko lost 2-0 to Stellenbosch in the MTN8 semi-final first leg on Saturday, but Eric Tinkler's men will feel confident after a dominant win over new boys Orbit. Having accumulated nine points from three matches, Chiefs appear to be in the race for the league title. It is the first time since 2019/20 season that the Glamour Boys have had a flying start to their league campaign. Rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have dropped points this season, but many are expecting the two teams to catch up soon rather than later. Both teams are in action on Wednesday and will look to close the gap. Kaizer Chiefs have not won the league in 10 years however they came close in 2020 after topping the log for over 12 months but ultimately threw it away on the last match.
