Shyam VNL unveils cutting-edge cyber mobile intelligence, counter drone solutions
The company has its cutting-edge solution designed to counter the increasing threat of mobile devices covertly embedded in everyday electronic appliances, it's Chairman Rajiv Mehrotra said.
With spying from homes and offices using concealed devices becoming a rising concern, the company has introduced its proprietary "Secure Meeting Guard" and "Secure Ops Room Guard" — advanced systems that neutralise all RF transmissions within a specified area.
These solutions ensure that no mobile device can operate in sensitive spaces, creating 100% secure, mobile free zones.
Also drawing significant interest was the company's comprehensive counter-drone portfolio, tailored to meet varied operational needs across borders, critical infrastructure, VVIP security, and more.
At the MILIPOL India 2025 exhibition, being held in Delhi, the company has displayed various instruments including drone detection systems, networked directional drone detectors and jammers, backpack and hand-held drone detectors and jammers, handheld drone guns in multiple configurations, and wearable drone detection and jamming systems – for individual soldiers.
These solutions address the increasing threat of short-range drone attacks, moving away from traditional long-range surveillance models. By integrating AI and machine learning, the company has enhancesld real-time situational awareness and operational responsiveness for ground forces.
Further reinforcing its commitment to the 'Made in India' innovation ecosystem, the company also showcased a range of tactical solutions designed for use by various security agencies, including the defence sector. These include foliage-penetrating human detection systems, border and perimeter intrusion detection systems, cross-border mobile intelligence gathering solutions, and search & rescue human locator & secure emergency communication systems.

Reliance Consumer Products enters healthy beverages market with Naturedge JV
Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) has officially entered the healthy functional beverages market by acquiring a majority stake in a joint venture with Naturedge Beverages, the maker of the natural herbal functional drink brand 'Shunya'. The move strengthens RCPL's vision of becoming a "total beverage company" by adding health-focused, herbal-natural offerings to its expanding portfolio, according to a company statement. Naturedge Beverages, founded in 2018 by Siddhesh Sharma of the Baidyanath Group, is known for its flagship brand 'Shunya', a zero-calorie, zero-sugar functional drink infused with Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Khus, Kokum, and Green Tea. The joint venture will help scale the 'Shunya' beverage brand across India through RCPL's vast distribution network. RCPL Executive Director Ketan Mody stated that the partnership had strengthened the company's beverage portfolio by offering consumers health-driven alternatives. He added that the collaboration would help position 'Shunya' as a pan-India brand, in line with the rising consumer preference for herbal-natural functional beverages. Major broadband outage in Hyderabad due to cable cuts by TGSPDCL: COAI
Hyderabad, Aug 19 (UNI) A major network outage is affecting a large number of home broadband users in the city today due to cable cuts by TGSPDCL, according to COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India). Thousands of Jio, Airtel, ACT customers got impacted in Hyderabad today. In a statement here, COAI Director General Lt Gen Dr S P Kochhar, said, "This disruption has been caused by the electricity department's indiscriminate and aggressive cutting of optical fiber cables." He said that internet cables do not carry electricity and are therefore unrelated to power infrastructure. The industry is actively working to resolve the issue and restore services as quickly as possible, he said. Dr Kochhar urged the department "to refrain from cutting optical cables, as they result in severe disruptions to internet connectivity, which is an essential service'.
