iQOO 15's launch month leaks
iQOO has already acknowledged the existence of its upcoming flagship device, the 15, and we assumed that it might become official in September, right after Qualcomm will unveil the chipset that will be powering it, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
However, according to a new rumor out of China, the iQOO 15 will in fact wait until October to be announced. The phone is said to sport a super-high quality screen made by Samsung, and a vivo self-developed gaming chip. iQOO 13
Previous rumors talked about the iQOO 15 boasting a 6.85-inch flat AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, three 50 MP cameras on the rear including a periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and support for 100W wired charging for its 7,000 mAh battery. There may apparently also be an iQOO 15 Ultra, coming next year with physical gaming trigger buttons, a built-in active cooling fan, and support for wireless charging.

Your next Galaxy phone might finally lose the camera bump – or will it?
Receive the latest Samsung news By subscribing you agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy Do you need flatter camera bumps on a Galaxy phone? Yeah, the flatter, the better. Both flat and thick are fine with me. No, I prefer something that protrudes. Yeah, the flatter, the better. 0% Both flat and thick are fine with me. 0% No, I prefer something that protrudes. 0% Impressive, but do Galaxy phones really need flatter camera bumps right now? Let me know in the comments below! I know that on a Friday, you're all about metalenses, metasurfaces, nanostructures, modulations and diffractions – so let's see what Samsung has been up to lately. Galaxy phones with flatter camera bumps: well, that was unexpected! There's a recent study , titled "Compact eye camera with two-third wavelength phase-delay metalens", and it has introduced a new approach to creating ultra-compact metalenses for eye cameras. The project was carried out through a collaboration between Samsung Electronics and Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and has been published in the journal Nature team worked on every stage of the process , from concept development to implementation and testing, aiming to demonstrate the potential of advanced photonic technologies while finding new ways to make products stand out in a competitive of the most notable outcomes of the study is the potential to make extended reality (XR) devices thinner and lighter, as well as to reduce the height of smartphone camera modules, addressing the familiar "camera bump" great, but there isn't an urgency for Galaxy phones to get slimmer camera bumps. Maybe this technology would be better suited for something like the Vivo X200 Ultra, since it looks like this:Anyway, mtalenses are getting a lot of attention lately. They're basically ultra-thin lenses that bend and control light using tiny structures on a flat surface, instead of the curved glass you see in regular lenses. This makes them much smaller and now, making them work well meant they had to delay light by a full wavelength, which required building millions of super tall, skinny structures. These were tricky to make, easy to break, and not ideal for mass new approach in this research only delays light by two-thirds of a wavelength. That small change keeps the light focused just as well but lets the structures be shorter and sturdier. As a result, they're easier to produce, less likely to have defects, and cheaper to showcase the concept, the team created a thin infrared eye camera for XR devices. The camera's thickness was reduced by 20% compared to traditional versions, from 2.0 mm to 1.6 mm, while still delivering precise pupil tracking and iris recognition over a wide 120-degree field of view.

Galaxy S25 FE colors just leaked fully – see every angle before you freak out or get excited
The Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung's next Fan Edition phone, has been in the leaks quite a lot nowadays. We recently learned that it may reuse the Galaxy S24's processor, and we've also seen quite a lot of renders of the device. Now, ahead of its possible September 19 announcement, the phone is showing up in the leaks again, this time in all its color Galaxy S25 FE is reportedly going to launch in four colors: Black, Icy Blue, Navy, and White. A rather conservative color palette this time around. The Galaxy S24 FE, for reference, offered its buyers four colors to choose from, with some more fancy shades in the mix: Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow. The folks at Android Headlines are now sharing some detailed leaked renders of the Galaxy S25 FE's colors: For all the color variants, we have aluminum sides with a silver-looking finish. Apparently, the bezels have been reduced somewhat, but apart from that, the phone looks quite a lot like its predecessor with three cameras on the back. Previous rumors indicate that you can expect a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a fast 120Hz display refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The phone is said to boast an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It may be lighter than its predecessor, though, with rumors suggesting a weight of 190g, 23g lighter than the S24 FE. The same chip will likely power it, though, Samsung's Exynos 2400. You can expect 8 gigs of RAM and 128 or 256 gigs of storage. As for the cameras, no surprises here either: expect a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy S25 FE may sport a 4,900mAh battery and support 15W wireless and 45W wired charging. The phone is said to cost more or less the same as its predecessor, which means around $649.99. As an upper mid-range device, it's going to face the Pixel 9a, the iPhone 16e, the OnePlus 13R, and the fancy-looking Nothing Phone (3a) Pro for the title of the best mid-range phone. As for the colors, they're more on the muted side in my opinion. I like the Navy option, but at the same time, this color has been on tech everywhere in recent years, and I feel like I'm starting to get bored with it a little bit. Sadly, there seems not to be a yellow FE this year, which would've been the color I would've gone for if I were going to buy one.
