Philadelphia Eagles fans wait hours outside Pro Shop for Super Bowl merchandise

CBS News11-02-2025

There is no better way to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl victory than wearing the brand-new championship merchandise, and some fans waited for hours to get their hands on the super swag.
It didn't matter how cold it was or how long it took, the second the doors opened, Eagles fans swarmed the Pro Shop at Lincoln Financial Field to get Super Bowl champion hats and T-shirts on one of the sweetest "Victory Mondays" of all time.
The Nevins family — Paige, Ed and little Eddie — were among the crowd. For them, as for many Birds fans, Sunday's win is about so much more than sport. The Eagles' wins and losses are weaved into family memories and milestones.
"Just unbelievably excited. We won our first Super Bowl before we got married and then of course when he's [Eddie] getting ready to turn 4, we got our second. Unbelievably excited," Paige Nevins said.
Peaches Napier of North Philadelphia is recovering from knee surgery, but that didn't stop her from picking up championship gear for the people she loves.
"I know they're going to jump for joy because we were on that phone last night every time a touchdown went down. Woo! Thank you, Lord," Napier said.
Like many fans, Sterling Brown was running on very little sleep but that didn't matter — he says he slept like a baby.
"I slept good last night believe it or not, I haven't slept good the last two weeks but I slept good last night." Brown said he was gearing up for Friday's parade as were so many others who enjoyed the joyous start to a week that is set to end with the best party Philadelphia can possibly throw.

Bills Second-Year Receiver Demanding Greatness

Bills Second-Year Receiver Demanding Greatness originally appeared on Athlon Sports. No matter what Keon Coleman does in his NFL career, he will always be seen as the player the Buffalo Bills traded back for to allow the Kansas City Chiefs to draft Xavier Worthy in the 2024 draft. Advertisement The only way that those talks and comparisons end, is if Coleman ends up being a star in his own right. And that is precisely what the Florida State product is working to be. 'I demand greatness from myself, and I love to know my coaches demand the same amount of greatness, and we're on the same page about it," Coleman said via Dom Tibbetts of WKBW. Coleman was not bad in his first season in Buffalo. He recorded an impressive 19.2 yard-per-reception average. That was one of the largest in the NFL last season. Despite his obvious deep-threat abilities, Coleman caught just 29 passes while battling multiple injuries. Advertisement If Buffalo is going to take a jump as a Super Bowl contender, they will need their second-year receiver to reach a new level of his game that he hasn't shown yet. Part of that will be focused on staying healthy. Coleman missed four games due to injuries last year. The other part, though, is with his consistency. The 22-year-old needs to be more consistent with catching the football (7% drop rate), and finding ways to get open. Coleman has all the tools to be successful with the Bills. It will be up to him, though, to see just how good he can be. And from his comments this week, it's clear that Coleman knows exactly what he needs to do. Philadelphia Eagles urged to trade for All-Pro pass-rusher

As the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles may not feel a strong sense of urgency to swing for the fences. Then again, the chance to repeat as champions could be just the exact type of motivating factor general manager Howie Roseman needs to execute his latest blockbuster trade. Specifically, analyst and former NFL general manager Marc Ross would like to see the Eagles swing a trade for Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro sack artist Trey Hendrickson. 'The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl with a relentless pass rush, but Philadelphia has questions on that front heading into the 2025 campaign, given the loss of Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith's injury and the inherent need for young guys like Moro Ojomo (2023 seventh-round pick) and Jalyx Hunt (2024 third-rounder) to level up. General manager Howie Roseman hit big on the trade for wide receiver A.J. Brown in 2022. Trading for Hendrickson, who's in a contract standoff with the Bengals, could provide a similar effect for the defense. Plus, the Eagles just cleared more cap space by dealing Huff. This would be a case of the rich getting richer — and a move I wouldn't put past Philly. ' on Eagles trading for Trey Hendrickson Advertisement As noted, the Eagles interestingly did just part ways with Bryce Huff, who was expected to see regular snaps on gameday. That move not only opened up a few more snaps for others, it also cleared more cap space. In other words, the Eagles could certainly look to reinforce their pass-rush with the NFL's reigning sack leader. Though, in addition to paying whatever price the Bengals are seeking, which may be roughly a second-round pick, Philadelphia will still have to come to terms on a contract extension for the four-time Pro Bowler. Hendrickson is currently set to make $21 million this season in the final year of his contract. Yet, after recording an NFL-high 17.5 sacks, Hendrickson should be able to command at least $30 million per season. He may even creep closer to the $40 million annual salary Myles Garrett is earning from the Cleveland Browns. Is that a price the Eagles are willing to pay? If it means strengthening their Super Bowl odds, Roseman could be ready to pay the price. Advertisement Related: 5 best Trey Hendrickson trade landing spots from Cincinnati Bengals Related Headlines

Can The Falcons Overtake The Buccaneers For The NFC South?

Can The Falcons Overtake The Buccaneers For The NFC South? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Falcons were two games behind the Buccaneers in the standings event though the Falcons were 2-0 against their division rival. With the youth of the Panthers and the quarterback dilemma of the Saints, the Falcons are the main competition for the Bucs, and it will be an interesting battle in 2025. Advertisement It is very important for the Falcons to not drop certain games, especially against division rivals. The NFC has been dominant and it's the kind of conference that is requiring at least 10-11 win to have a shot at making the playoffs. Feb 25, 2025; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris speaks during the NFL Scouting Combine at the Indiana Convention Lee-Imagn Images The team has improved over the last few seasons, and they believe that the team they have now is the one that can get them over the hump. The playoffs have eluded the Falcons since 2017, and with Raheem Morris as coach they hope that the improvement reaches an all-time high. The Bucs have won the NFC South every year since 2021, and even when they were second in the division, they ended up winning the Super Bowl. The Falcons must step up and take that crown from them, and they must utilize all their weapons and step up on defense. Advertisement There are still many questions that the Falcons have not answered yet, those include the statuses of Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts. There is still a long way to go until the start of the season. The Falcons are hoping to finally get back to the playoffs, and 2025 is the year to do it. They had a successful draft and a good offseason overall.
