Mumbai woman's touching tribute to mother for vada pav stall outside BMC hospital
But she persisted. Without complaint, she proved the quality of her food and told customers it was all homemade. Gradually, the very people who once doubted her became loyal patrons. Today, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff not only buy her vada pav but also invite her to hospital picnics. Her secret? Genuine connection. Despite not having formal education, she speaks to everyone in their own language - Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Hindi, even English - making each person feel seen. She adapts her menu when trends shift and lifts the mood when the atmosphere feels low.'She builds relationships. She builds trust. She never asks for help, but help just finds her,' she said, adding that every time she visits the stall, she sees people excited just to talk to her mother.Take a look at the post here:
For Ishika Dhanmeher, the story is not about struggle but about personality as power. 'Two things I've inherited from her: communication and building genuine relationships. And if that's all I got from her - I already have everything I need,' she concluded.- EndsTune InMust Watch

E-khata chaos: Helplines of no help, property owners in Bengaluru at their wits' end
Bengaluru: Flat owners, already caught in BBMP's e-khata chaos, have a new headache: Navigating the civic body's own helplines. Instead of offering solutions, the helplines and officials are trapping e-khata holders in a maddening loop that ends with nothing. Take the case of its much-publicised helpline number 1533 or WhatsApp number 9480683695. For citizens struggling with discrepancies in parking lot dimensions, these helplines are supposed to provide relief. But, not so in reality. Anand Kumar, a senior citizen from Kanakapura Road, said: "I wanted to file objections and contacted the local BBMP revenue official, but he told me to approach special commissioner Munish Moudgil in the BBMP head office. When I went to the central office at Hudson Circle, I was told to call the BBMP helpline. Initially, the helplines did not work. When someone finally answered, I was again redirected to the local revenue official. I am only going around in circles with no solution at sight." At 1.25pm, the reporter dialled 1533. A recorded voice answered: "Press 1 for Kannada, Press 2 for English." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like NRIs Living In Netherlands Are Eligible For INR 2 Lakh Monthly Pension. In the second attempt, the reporter pressed 1, but the loop continued until the call was dropped again. The entire sequence was recorded on video. Later, at 4:57pm, the e-khata helpline (9480683695) was tried. A recorded message asked the caller to "hold the line" as the line was busy. After waiting nearly seven minutes, the call disconnected automatically. A second attempt at 5:21pm met with the same fate. Residents say this is not an isolated glitch but a persistent failure. "It's impossible to get through. I've tried more than 20 times in the last week," said Shalini Rao, a resident of JP Nagar. She added, "Even if you're lucky enough to connect, you either get disconnected midway or are stuck in endless loops." Ramesh Gowda from Yelahanka, a sports teacher at a private school, recounted a similar experience: "I needed to clarify a mismatch in my property details. The helpline was my first option, but after repeated failures, I had to take half-a-day's leave to go to the revenue office, where I was told to come back another day because the official concerned was busy." With citizens' frustration mounting, civic activists said BBMP must urgently overhaul its grievance-redress system. "A helpline that doesn't connect is worse than no helpline at all — it erodes public trust," said Vinod Kumar, member of a residents' welfare association. A senior revenue official said, "We are a team of 12 and each of us gets almost 100 calls daily, how can we answer all? We are trying our best to help, but if citizens are at fault and they keep pressing the panic button, we cannot do anything." Role of Brand Advocacy in B2B Influencer Marketing
By Ajit Narayan Influencer Marketing - while the words are the same, the usage and application of it are completely different in B2B and B2C. In B2C, one is after brand alignment and emotional appeal, which drives purchasing decisions whereas in B2B, the priority is in category expertise, reliability and category following. And the Influencers are also different. B2B influencers are typically industry experts, leaders themselves and customers who have a voice and bring in opinions in the industry. They play a big role in influencing decisions by companies, be it in hiring or taking on new clients and partnerships. Typically, in B2C purchase or even evaluation, decisions are often impulsive. In B2B, the buying process is complex and involves multiple levels and departments before making a purchase decision, and therefore the expertise of influencers and their reach plays a vital role. Combined with Brand Advocacy , the reach of B2B influencers makes a big difference in reach and engagement as the objectives are aligned: Building Trust and Credibility B2B buyers rely on trusted sources to navigate complex purchasing decisions. Advocates, such as industry professionals or existing customers, lend authenticity that traditional advertising lacks. Employees, Customers or Partners share genuine experiences, case studies, or insights about a brand's product/service, reinforcing its value. As per a Demand Gen Report 2023, 92% of B2B buyers trust recommendations from peers over branded content. Amplifying Reach and Engagement Advocates often have their own established personal networks, giving brands access to niche, high-value audiences. Content shared by advocates generates 2-3x higher engagement rates than brand-owned channels, according to a 2024 LinkedIn study. Humanising the Brand B2B brands can seem impersonal. Brand Advocates humanize them by sharing relatable stories or practical use cases. A customer post about how a product solved a specific pain point, or an industry influencer could discuss trends aligning with the brand's mission is an authentic voice on the use cases. Personalized advocacy content drives 20-30% higher conversion rates in B2B campaigns (per 2023 Influitive data). Drives Thought Leadership B2B buyers seek partners who demonstrate expertise. Advocates position brands as industry leaders by associating them with credible voices. Influencers co-create content like reports, podcasts, or panel discussions, showcasing the brand's innovation or problem-solving capabilities. 74% of B2B buyers consume thought leadership content before making purchase decisions (Edelman, 2024). Facilitating Long-Term Relationships B2B sales cycles are long, often spanning months. Advocates nurture prospects by maintaining consistent, credible engagement. Advocates participate in ongoing campaigns, such as speaking at webinars, contributing to case studies, or engaging in community discussions on social media platforms. Companies with strong advocacy programs see 25% shorter sales cycles (per 2023 Forrester study). In B2B Marketing , both brand advocacy and influencer marketing tango together. And many a times could be one and the same as well. As one could leverage their own key stake holders in the marketing mix to develop and share content favoring the brand. Brand Advocacy involves creating strategic program involving key stakeholders in the mix and a good tactical mix would be to include Influencers as interventions to boost the existing program. In a nutshell it is only beneficial to think of both in a complementary sense rather than different practices in the marketing mix for B2B as they are very similar. Only that the Influencer Marketing is interventional. Whereas advocacy is consistent through the year. (The author is CMO, Socxo. Opinions are personal.)
