Hampton Beach shooting injures 3; suspect arrested after police pursuit in New Hampshire
The shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the area of Ocean Boulevard and Church Street, prompting all officers and New Hampshire State Police troopers in the area to respond to the popular summer destination, police said. Authorities asked people to stay away from the scene while they investigated.
Witnesses told police that they saw a "rowdy" group near the north bath houses, then someone fired multiple shots from a black sports car while it was moving.
The injuries to the three victims were not considered life-threatening, police said. Three cars in the area were also hit by bullets.

Police pursuit ends in Deerfield
Just before 10:30 p.m., investigators said State Police along with officers from Brentwood and Epping pursued the suspect vehicle in a chase that ended in Deerfield. The driver of the Ford Mustang, later identified as Ruiz, tried to run but was soon found and taken into custody, police said.
A 9mm semi-automatic Glock style gun was found in the car, according to police. The car also had a broken rear window that had damage consistent with a gunshot, police said.
Ruiz had a juvenile passenger in the car, police said. That boy's mother came to get her son at the police station, and told officers that Ruiz had picked him up so they could go to Hampton Beach, police said.
Ruiz, who lives in Manchester, is charged with multiple counts of first degree assault with a firearm and reckless conduct. He is set to appear in Hampton District Court on Wednesday.

George Gilbey: Police conclude investigation into death of Gogglebox star
Police have concluded their investigation into the death of Gogglebox star George Gilbey. Mr Gilbey sustained traumatic injuries to his head and torso and died in Shoeburyness, Essex, on 27 March last year. Coroner's officer Deborah Frost told a previous inquest hearing that the 40-year-old had been "working on a roof when he fell through a plastic skylight, landing on the ground below". Two men who were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in relation to Mr Gilbey's death will face no further police action, Essex Police said in a statement on Wednesday. "Essex Police have confirmed their investigation into the death of George Gilbey last year has concluded," the force said. Police said the criminal investigation remains open and will be led by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). HSE inspector Natalie Prince said the agency "will continue to thoroughly investigate George's tragic death" and "aim to establish if there have been any breaches of health and safety law". She added: "We are in regular contact with George's family and our thoughts remain with them at this time." Mr Gilbey was best known for appearing on the Channel 4 series Gogglebox - on which participants watch and comment on TV shows from the previous week. One of the deceased was identified by insiders as Aphiwe Ndondashe, who was reportedly wanted for multiple murders and attempted murders in Philippi. Militant attacks on Pakistani police kill 5 and injure 8 officers
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A series of attacks against Pakistani police by militants left five officers dead and eight wounded in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, officials said. There were four attacks with three resulting in officer casualties Thursday, police said. Most died or were injured in a single attack in the Upper Dir district when armed men ambushed a police van early Thursday. Three officers died and seven were injured during the routine patrol, police official Ismail Khan said. In the Peshawar suburb of Hassan Khel, armed men opened fire on a police station with automatic weapons. One officer died and another was wounded in an exchange of fire, Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Qasim Ali Khan said. Two other overnight attacks came at police checkpoints in the Lajbok area of the Lower Dir district, where a police constable was killed, and in the Bannu district, where there were no casualties reported. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the assaults and it was not immediately known if they were connected. The attacks coincided with a security operation to fight militants in the province's Bajaur district. There was no formal announcement of the offensive's launch in Bajaur, a former stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban.
