‘Harder to miss than score' – Embarrassed Millwall star left floored after miss that could have put them in playoffs
MILLWALL striker Josh Coburn put in a contender for miss of the season - at the worst possible time.
The Lions needed to better Bristol City's result to sneak into the playoffs on a dramatic final day of Championship action.

Millwall made the ideal start at Turf Moor, with Mihailo Ivanovic netting an early opener for the visitors.
But Josh Brownhill responded with an instant equaliser for the hosts, who had already secured promotion the Premier League.
Millwall pushed forward with their season on the line.
And Coburn - on loan from Middlesbrough - was presented with a golden opportunity just minutes before half time.
A whipped ball across the box evaded Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, falling kindly to Coburn yards out.
The 22-year-old was in the centre of the goal and looked destined to score.
But he somehow shanked his effort inexplicably wide of the post, burying his face in the turf.
Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd gasped on commentary: "I cannot believe this. Oh, look at it. Oh my days.
"Wait till you see this miss, wow. Wow."
Fans were equally as scathing, with one writing on X: "Harder to miss that than score."
Another joked: "No new deal for him in the summer!!
While a third added: "And to think @Boro wanted us to pay up to £3m for him - thank god it was only a loan."
The miss would prove costly for the Lions, who conceded twice after the break to lose 3-1.
Millwall haven't been in the top flight since 1990 and will now face a ninth-straight year in the Championship.
Their defeat meant Bristol City - who drew 2-2 at home with Preston - take the final playoff spot.
Elswhere, Frank Lampard's Coventry City sealed fifth place thanks to a brace from Jack Rudoni.

The 2-0 win over Boro ended Michael Carrick's side's own playoff hopes.
The Sky Blues will now take on Sunderland, while Sheffield United face Bristol City.
And Leeds sealed the title after a dramatic 2-1 win at Plymouth Argyle.
At the other end of the table, Luton Town suffered back-to-back relegations.
The Hatters were thrashed 5-3 at West Brom, joining Plymouth and Cardiff in dropping to League One.

It added: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Marquinhos for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future." He cost Arsenal just €3million in compensation fees when he originally moved as the Premier League side took advantage of his deal expiring that summer. Marquinhos came through the youth system at Sao Paulo and was tipped to have a major impact with several of the country's pundit identifying him as a talent in his teenage years. They were therefore left stunned that his contract was allowed to wind down, which meant he was able to leave for such a minor fee. World Cup winner Vampeta was among those and claimed it was "absurd". He said: "Marquinhos' business. They're going to lose Marquinhos to Arsenal for €3m. I don't know if you remember that I used to say I watched Audax's academy games, Marquinhos in the under-15… he used to already make the difference. I said here on the show, 'There's an U-15 at Sao Paulo, Marquinhos'… Now he's going to leave on a silver platter." TV Host Thiago Asmar claimed that Marquinhos should be worth at least €10-15m as he said it was a "scandal" for him to be allowed to depart for such a minimal amount. Former Arsenal chief Edu claimed that Marquinhos was "a player for the future" but Mikel Arteta was never able to unlock his potential. The Brazilian had a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order and opportunities ultimately never came his way. The Gunners are looking to further bolster their frontline this summer with wide forwards on their shortlist. They've been linked with the likes if Nico Williams, who has become a leading light at Athletic Bilbao and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

The Liverpool legend has been out of work since leaving Al-Ettifaq in January. 1 He was linked with a return to Rangers but pulled out of the race before Russell Martin was appointed. Spurs close in on Thomas Frank after making official approach to Brentford
Spurs sacked Ange Postecoglou on Friday, despite Europa League success, and quickly set their sights on Frank – who has gained admirers for his work over an impressive seven-year period at the west London club. After positive initial talks over the weekend, confidence started to grow on Monday morning that Frank would be the man to replace Postecoglou and Tottenham have now entered discussions with Brentford, PA understands. The 51-year-old would take over a Spurs side which won the Europa League last month but finished 17th in the Premier League. Tottenham technical director Johan Lange has remained in post and is set to renew allegiances with compatriot Frank. Frank and Lange worked together at Danish club Lyngby before they both made their marks in the Premier League. Lange attempted to bring Frank to Aston Villa in 2022 when he worked at the midlands outfit. Former Brondby boss Frank has developed a strong reputation in English football since he took over Brentford, with his tactical nous and man-management skills often lauded by rival managers and pundits. After Frank guided Brentford to promotion in 2021, he quickly enabled them to compete strongly in the Premier League despite a modest budget and has been linked to a number of high-profile vacancies in recent years.
