Students who did well in SSLC, PU felicitated

Urging students to set clear goals and work hard to achieve success, Police Commissioner Sharnappa S. Dhage has said that they can reach their goals in life if they have determination, perseverance and strong willpower. He was addressing a gathering during the Pratibha Puraskar award ceremony to felicitate children of journalists who have scored high marks in SSLC and PU exams here recently. Dr. Dhage said that students should swim against the tide, overcome odds and manage to excel in their studies despite all adversities. 'Life is a journey encompassing both joy and sorrow, good times and hardship. It is essential to approach all seasons with courage and resilience, as challenges are inevitable and, at the same time, they can lead to growth,' he said. The officer also advised parents to avoid pressuring students to solely focus on securing high marks. Instead, they should prioritize a supportive and encouraging environment, Dr. Dhage added. Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) national president B.V. Mallikarjunaiah, Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) State president Shivanand Tagadur, KUWJ State vice-president Bhavani Singh Thakur, State secretary J.C. Lokesh, State executive member Shivranjan Satyampet, Kalaburagi district president Baburao Yadrami and others were present.
