However, he noted that concerns were raised regarding connectivity issues in the hospital's newly built wing.
'I took the opportunity to speak with hospital management regarding internet connectivity within the hospital premises. Overall, they expressed satisfaction with both internet and mobile coverage.
'However, they noted some issues in the new wing involving one of the telecommunications service providers,' he told reporters after presenting a contribution under the Kasih@Hawana Fund here today.
He said the provider in question would be asked to assess and optimise its services in the affected area to ensure consistent and reliable coverage for patients, staff and visitors.
Last year, Fahmi said that hospitals were identified as one of the top seven priority areas for improved network coverage.
He said that while some public hospitals have continued to face connectivity challenges, the broader initiative aimed to resolve long-standing in-building mobile coverage issues and support the integration of 5G technology for more advanced medical applications.

Educated in Britain, the US and Thailand, Bajrakitiyabha has held a number of positions with the United Nations and has campaigned for better treatment of women in prisons. She is seen as close to her father, and was appointed to a senior role in his bodyguard command a year before her hospitalisation. The 73-year-old king, who has seven children from four marriages, has not announced his chosen heir, though succession rules favour men. JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 19 — Police said today they have taken statements from seven individuals as part of investigations into the alleged bullying case involving a 10-year-old boy who is suffering from cancer. Johor police chief CP Ab Rahaman Arsad said the individuals included the medical officer who treated the victim, a school student, a family member and other witnesses. 'There is a possibility that we will call other witnesses to complete the investigation depending on the results of the victim's medical report,' he said after visiting the boy Izzul Islam Azuan Isaidi at the KPJ Puteri Hospital here. 'At present, the victim is still being monitored and the hospital cannot issue a report until he has fully completed his treatment. 'Police will wait for the victim's full medical report before investigating the allegation that he suffered a concussion after being allegedly bullied and beaten by his schoolmates,' he added.
