Braves Reportedly Considering Blockbuster Trade Involving $35 Million Star

The Atlanta Braves are bound to be one of the more aggressive sellers in baseball before the trade deadline. Rather than contending for the World Series, the Braves have found themselves below the Miami Marlins in the standings, sitting at 43-54.
But Atlanta is bound to have quite a lot of valuable assets to throw on the trade block. The Braves could approach the deadline cautiously, or they could opt to blow up the roster and enter a bit of a rebuild.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale recently reported that he expects the Braves to listen to trade offers for star second baseman Ozzie Albies in the coming weeks. Albies has two additional years of club options left on his contract.

"Atlanta is expected to listen to trade offers for second baseman Ozzie Albies, center fielder Michael Harris, and catcher Sean Murphy, but not until this winter," Nightengale wrote. "They are letting teams know that DH Marcell Ozuna, closer Raisel Iglesias, and reliever Pierce Johnson are all available. Ozuna, who has 10-and-5 rights, can veto any trade."
Trading Albies could make a lot of sense with Nacho Alvarez emerging as a potential option in the infield. Atlanta could also target another infielder in the trade that ships Albies away.
Teams like the New York Yankees would make perfect sense as a landing spot for the star from Atlanta. The Bronx Bombers need an infielder as desperately as any team in baseball and likely wouldn't hesitate to go after Albies if he were made available.
Either way, the Braves would be smart to test the market. The worst-case scenario is that nobody is willing to give up a lot for him, and the Braves opt to keep him in Atlanta for a few more years. No harm, no foul.

How to watch Manchester United vs Everton: TV channel and live stream for pre-season friendly today
Manchester United are back in action as they take on Everton in their final game of their US pre-season tour. Ruben Amorim's side have two victories from their two games in the Premier League Summer Series. They beat West Ham 2-1 in their opener, before thrashing Bournemouth 4-1 in Chicago, Illinois. New signing Matheus Cunha featured against West Ham, and there had been hope that Bryan Mbeumo, the Red Devils' latest arrival from Brentford, would play against the Cherries, but he did not. However, the Cameroonian and the Brazilian could both play together for their new club for the very first time in Atlanta, Georgia, when United take on David Moyes' Everton. The Toffees have lost both of their games on tour, with a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth and a 2-1 loss to the Hammers, Moyes' old employers. How to watch Manchester United vs Everton TV channel: The match will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League channel. Cherries aiming at positive end to pre-season in US against West Ham
THE Cherries will be hoping for a more encouraging performance as their pre-season Premier League Summer Series campaign comes to an end against West Ham. AFC Bournemouth were comfortably beaten by Manchester United in what was a poor performance on the whole by Andoni Iraola's men. Both teams arrive at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta with one win from their two games – and it was an impressive one at that from the Cherries. The 3-0 victory over Everton in the opening game was in stark contrast to the performance on Wednesday night in Chicago, with Iraola even saying after the United game that they are not as good as the performance against the Toffees, nor are they as bad as the one against the Red Devils. Bournemouth offered very little going forward and were poor defensively against United, but scored a consolation goal after good work from David Brooks saw the Welshman cross for Matthijs De Ligt to turn the ball into his own net. (Image: Richard Crease) Both games have served their purpose, though, in giving plenty of good minutes to the Cherries squad. There were nine total substitutes from Iraola on Wednesday, while the entire XI were replaced against Everton. In terms of team news, Eli Junior Kroupi and Justin Kluivert have an outside chance to return to the Cherries side, with the former seen pictured in training this week. Ryan Christie and Luis Sinisterra continue their recovery from injuries and will not be available. Tyler Adams made his first return to the Bournemouth squad against the Manchester club, coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes, so he'll likely get more minutes in Atlanta. (Image: Richard Crease) The game against the Hammers will present the penultimate opportunity for the Cherries to get minutes in the legs before their season opener against Liverpool in just under two weeks' time. Their final friendly sees them take on Real Sociedad back at home in front of the Cherries faithful at the Vitality Stadium, next Saturday, August 9, kicking off at 5.15pm. West Ham, meanwhile, were beaten 2-1 by United in their opening game of the pre-season tournament in the States, but they beat Everton by the same scoreline in Chicago. Jarrod Bowen scored their second-half consolation goal in the first game, and it was Lucas Paqueta and Niclas Fullkrug who did the damage either side of halftime for the Hammers. Those goals came after the Toffees had opened the scoring through Idrissa Gueye after 17 minutes. AFC Bournemouth meet West Ham at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, August 3, kicking off at 7pm, UK time. The two sides meet for the first time in the league this season on November 22 at Dean Court.

Tonight's fixture is expected to see the debut of summer signing Bryan Mbeumo. The winger is yet to feature following his £71m arrival from Brentford. Everton have lost both fixtures to the same opposition, as David Moyes deals with a thin squad.
