RM6,400-a-week sex racket: Man filmed wife for porn, ran prostitution ring from Shah Alam hotel, say police
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the couple, aged 34, was detained at 8 pm by a team from the D7 (Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies) division of the Kuala Lumpur police contingent headquarters.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the husband acted as the content creator, promoting and selling pornographic videos featuring his wife and their clients, while also managing a prostitution ring to generate income.
'His wife acted as the prostitute, playing the lead role in the videos. They earned up to RM6,400 a week,' he said.
'They targeted clients via the X platform to sell their pornographic videos, while prostitution activities were coordinated through Telegram,' he said in a statement yesterday.
Rusdi added that their fees ranged from RM450 to RM800 at a four-star hotel, while pornographic videos were priced at RM50 and RM150.
'The couple has been remanded for three days until July 4. The case is being investigated under Sections 372(1), 372B and 372A of the Penal Code, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,' he said. — Bernama

SHAH ALAM, July 3 — An accountant pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to charges of leaving his two biological children, one who is visually impaired and the other, with mild autism, without reasonable supervision. Pahang Customs foils bid to smuggle RM4.4m e-waste, aluminium via false declarations at Port Klang
BENTONG, July 3 — The Pahang Customs Department has foiled two attempts to smuggle in e-waste and aluminium scrap from overseas, seizing seven containers worth an estimated RM4.4 million at North Port, Port Klang. Its director Mohd Asri Seman said the simultaneous operations on May 21 were carried out by the Bentong Customs Enforcement Division in collaboration with the Selangor Department of Environment. 'In the first raid at 1.15pm, three 40-foot containers were found to contain 46,726kg of e-waste valued at RM700,890, believed to have been imported without a permit or proper customs declaration,' he told a press conference today. In the second raid, four containers carrying 105,760kg of aluminium flakes, worth about RM3.7 million, were found to be falsely declared as other goods. Mohd Asri said such imports require approval from the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) and are regulated by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). He added that the smuggling method involved misdeclaring the items as copper concentrate to bypass import permit requirements. Both cases are being investigated under Section 135(1)(a) of the Customs Act 1967. — Bernama

Wiring firm owner fined RM10,000 for cheating school PTA over Smart TV supply in Butterworth
BUTTERWORTH, July 3 — An owner of an electrical wiring services company was fined RM10,000 by the Sessions Court here today after pleading guilty to deceiving a school's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) into paying RM20,000 for the supply and installation of six Smart TV units. Judge Zulhazmi Abdullah also ordered Mohd Khairudin Ali Amran, 40, to be jailed for five months if he fails to pay the fine. Mohd Khairudin was charged with deceiving the PTA of a school near here into believing that the RM20,000 in the quotation was for the supply and installation of six 65' Philips Smart TV units, but only four units were supplied. He was charged with committing the offence at the school on May 26, 2023. The charge, under Section 417 of the Penal Code, provides a prison sentence of up to five years or a fine or both upon conviction. In mitigation, Mohd Khairudin, unrepresented, told the court that he was supporting a wife, two children, including one with disability, and a mother. Deputy Public Prosecutor Noor Azura Zulkiflee appeared for the prosecution. — Bernama
