Akash Deep returned figures of 6 for 99 in the second innings to complete a match haul of 10 for 187.
He has been receiving rich praise from across the cricketing world.

A video is doing the rounds on social media, where an English fan can be seen singing a song outside the Edgbaston ground for the 28-year-old.
'Akash Deep, Akash Deep Bowling England Out, Akash Deep!' sings an England fan outside the stadium after the end of Day 5.
Legendary
Sachin Tendulkar
hailed Akash Deep as the 'standout bowler' of the match and described his delivery to dismiss Joe Root in the second innings as the 'ball of the series.'
Tendulkar was full of praise on X.
'India's approach was to take England out of this game and force them to play differently, making sure that there would only be 1 winner. What impressed me most about the bowlers was the length they bowled.
'Needless to say, Akash Deep was the standout bowler, and in my opinion, he bowled the ball of the series to Joe Root,' Tendulkar wrote.
Shubman Gill, Gautam Gambhir shut critics with thumping win over England
On a funny note, he also didn't forget to mention Siraj's diving catch at short mid-wicket.
'Enjoyed the catch taken by Mohammad 'Jonty' Siraj,' the owner of 51 Test hundreds commented.
Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.

India in England: Wong pays tribute to Jota, keen to take momentum forward in fourth T20I
From thereon, there was no looking back as Wong turned out for Warwickshire in the T20 Blast and kept up the momentum. She took nine wickets in as many games for the Bears before the third T20I against England and that had handed her a major confidence boost. "I've been really excited to play for the Bears. I've loved it. I've been there since I was nine. So I don't think you'll find many people more passionate about playing county cricket than I've loved it this year. I've been really grateful we've got a good group as well and I've been quite relaxed, but it's been a great place for me to go out and enjoy my cricket. And I've certainly had a great start to the summer in terms of how much I've enjoyed it," said Wong, who even turned out for the Bears on Sunday against Lancashire after playing the third T20I on Friday. Although she plays an all-rounder for Warwickshire in county cricket, Wong has different responsibilities with the English team where she has been sharing the ball with the likes of Bell, Filer and Emily Arlott. "I think like games of cricket, unless you bowl the first over or open the batting, it's hard to get hung up on a role because there's no two games of cricket that are the same. I think going into the game, it's just trying to be really clear on my options whenever I get that opportunity. And then trying to read the room, so to say, and just assess what that role needs to be for the team that day. One day it might be to bowl in the powerplay and try to back Lauren at the other end and try and offer maybe pace on both ends. Or some days it might actually, like the other day, it was trying to take pace off and make it really hard. "I think I've worked really hard to give myself those options so that I feel like I'm comfortable in more than two or three situations. And yes, I think like even the role I played at The Oval for England and then the role I played for the Bears Sunday, two very different pitches, very different situations, very different opponents. So I think it's just trying to build that experience. And the more games of cricket I play, the more I'm learning. And I hope, you know, going forward that I can get those experiences we like."

Star pacer likely to be dropped from the Indian squad for 3rd Test against England at Lords due to... New Delhi: India performed brilliantly in the Edgbaston Test and defeated England by 336 runs. This was India's first win on this ground. The new generation team led by Shubman Gill made a strong mark in the Test. Now the series is tied at 1-1 and the third Test will be played at Lord's from July 10. Shubman Gill played two brilliant innings of 269 and 161 runs while fast bowler Akash Deep played a decisive role in India's victory by taking 10 wickets in the match. This performance was historic for Team India. Who will return to the team? Indian fast bowling attack leader Jasprit Bumrah was rested in the second Test but captain Gill has confirmed that he will play in the Lord's Test. Now the question arises, which player will be dropped? Who will get a chance, who will be out? After Akash Deep's performance, it is impossible to drop him from the team, while Mohammed Siraj also took seven wickets. Karun Nair, who scored 31 and 26, tried to make an impression in his first number three innings and will get another chance. Washington Sundar and Nitish Reddy will also be retained in the team. Prasidh Krishna may be out Prasidh Krishna may be dropped as part of the possible change. He recorded figures of 0/72 and 1/39 in the match and proved expensive in the first Test as well. Jamie Smith's attack on Prasidh Krishna On the third day of the second Test, England's Jamie Smith thrashed Prasidh Krishna fiercely. In one over, he hit 4 fours and 1 six and scored 23 runs. This was a setback for India after Mohammad Siraj's brilliant start. Worst economy rate in Test history According to a social media post, Prasidh Krishna has now become the bowler with the worst economy rate in Test history (bowling at least 500 balls). His economy rate is more than five, which is considered extremely expensive at the Test level. Who held the previous record? Earlier this shameful record was held by Bangladesh's Shahadat Hossain, who conceded 3731 runs in 38 matches and had an economy rate of 4.16. He represented Bangladesh between 2005 and 2015.
