A late-night fight between two moviegoers outside of a movie theater in Warwick, Rhode Island, turned bad, with two people being stabbed following a showing of A Minecraft Movie.
The incident occurred on the night of April 15, 2025. According to a report from Providence's ABC6, Warwick police responded to calls of a fight in the parking lot of an Apple Cinemas in the area. Police reports note that four teenagers were told to be quiet during the movie, then followed three adults into the parking lot.
According to arrest reports, the teenagers assaulted the three adults, and slashed them with knives.
Those in the are that called the cops call the incident 'the last thing' they expected to happen, with Warwick resident Marilyn Wade recounting what happened.
'There was a scuffle out here, I didn't know for sure what it was,' Wade said. 'A whole bunch of people were gathering around each other and it didn't seem like a happy scene. 'This is a very nice neighborhood, and I go to this mall and movie theater and I know a lot of the people there.'
The four teenagers who were arrested will be processed through the family court system. Their names and identities were not made available due to their age. The two people who were stabbed are expected to recover, according to police.

Why Did [Spoiler] Get Arrested in General Hospital?

In the June 5 episode of General Hospital, a key character's downward spiral hit a new low as they were arrested. While the day started with tension and emotional confrontations, it ended with Natalia Ramirez getting handcuffed. The arrest didn't come out of nowhere because it was the result of a long buildup of personal and public failures that have left Natalia isolated, unstable, and desperate. Natalia got arrested for a drunk driving (DUI) incident, however, the real story lies in the emotional breakdown that led her there. Natalia, drowning her sorrows in alcohol, had a heated argument with her son, Marco, at the Metro Court pool. Marco had demanded she behave nicely with Lucas, but she didn't pay heed to that. Instead, she was more focused on asking him to convince his sister to forgive her. However, Marco asked her to leave him and his half-sister, Blaze, alone, refusing to help mend their fractured relationship. Feeling isolated, Natalia turned to Sonny Corinthos for comfort. He offered kind words, suggesting Marco might eventually forgive her. But instead of heeding his advice, Natalia made a reckless call to her ex-husband, Jenz Sidwell, declaring he owed her and she was coming to collect. Before she could follow through, however, she was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence. For more context, Natalia's recent breakdowns and struggles are happening because of her strained relationship with her two children, Marco and Blaze. Earlier, during Pride Month, Natalia made homophobic remarks about the LGBTQ+ community, even mocking Blaze's relationship with Kristina. Unbeknownst to her, Ava recorded the offensive comments and leaked them, leading to a public scandal. Blaze, devastated by her mother's betrayal, fired Natalia as her manager. The fallout damaged Blaze's career, with Deception nearly dropping her, and her record label severing ties. Meanwhile, Marco, who is openly gay, has repeatedly clashed with Natalia over her bigotry. Sega Throws Shade At Mario Kart While Showing Off Sonic Racing: Crossworlds

At today's Summer Game Fest showcase, Sega showed off Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. The kart racer is a big ol' crossover event between the blue blur and other Sega characters. After previous leaks claimed Minecraft and Spongebob characters would join the racer's roster, Sega revealed that several of its own heroes are joining. Joker from Persona 5, Hatsune Miku, and Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza will all be off to the races, as well as Steve from Minecraft, who was hinted at in the leaks. That's all well and good, but one of the funnier moments of the showcase was Sonic producer Takashi Iizuka taking the stage right after and throwing some light shade at Nintendo and Mario Kart World. Iizuka made what was seemingly a dig at Mario Kart World during his presentation. He never says the game by name, but says that, 'unlike another kart racing game,' Crossworlds has cross-platform multiplayer across PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It's a bold jab to make at the Switch 2 kart racer while everyone is hootin' and hollerin' about it just after the system's launch this week. But it also feels like a fun wink and nod toward the companies' old rivalry. Back when Sega was making its own consoles and competing directly with Nintendo, the company wasn't afraid to throw a punch in its marketing. The Sega Genesis tagline 'Sega does what Nintendon't' is still iconic, though it didn't really pan out for Sega in the long run, given the company is no longer in the console-making business. Either way, Sonic Racing: Crossworlds does have that cross-platform flex over Mario Kart, which is a Switch 2 exclusive. Sonic and friends are racing on just about every platform, so it will be more widely accessible. That being said, Mario Kart World is probably going tohave an unheard of attach rate, given it's the system seller for the Switch 2 right now. Sega probably knows that and is just having some light fun. Sonic Racing: Crossworlds launches on September the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Blake Lively's Critique of Justin Baldoni Gains Support from 19 Women's Groups

Blake Lively called out Justin Baldoni, and now, 19 women's rights groups are backing her. What started as a legal dispute has turned into a public reckoning, with advocacy organizations stepping in to defend Lively's right to speak out. They are not just supporting her claims of sexual harassment but also calling out Baldoni's legal tactics as dangerous to survivors everywhere. In a new wave of support, 14 additional organizations, including the National Organization for Women and the National Network to End Domestic Violence, filed amicus curiae briefs. They are urging the court to dismiss Justin Baldoni's $400 million defamation suit against Blake Lively. This brings the total to 19 groups that stand with her. These groups accuse Baldoni of using DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender) strategies to silence Lively and twist the narrative. Furthermore, Lively's team directly called out Baldoni's shift in public stance. Once known for his feminist messaging in podcasts, interviews, and his viral 2017 TED Talk, Baldoni now faces criticism for betraying those same values. 'Where he once upon a time urged men to listen to the women in your life … to hold their anguish and actually believe them,' Lively's statement read. 'Now, contradicting years of his own public persona.' In a June 5 statement to Us Weekly, Lively's spokesperson emphasized the significance of the support from 19 organizations, including Child USA and Sanctuary for Families. 'All are united in opposing Justin Baldoni's attempt to dismantle a law designed to protect women who speak up, simply to protect himself,' the statement read. For those in need of more context, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's lawsuit battle started in December last year when Lively sued Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and reputational damage. Baldoni denied the claims and countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist for $400 million, accusing them of defamation. Both sides have filed motions to dismiss aspects of the case, with a trial expected in 2026.
